Which brother should I choose

Matt's POV "Ronda?"

I was shocked when I saw Ronda standing in the kitchen next to Alice. Fuck! I forgot that I called and invited her here. When Alice thought I was Matt that night, I was furious and thought it was a good idea to fetch Ronda to distract me. She said she was busy, but would try to make an opening for this. So she did. But I wasn't feeling the same way now. Not after we had a moment in the bazaar with Alice. Not after she lingered when Matt tried to pull her away from me. Well done Antonio, you managed to upset the applecart.

I directly looked at Alice rather than Ronda. Was she upset? Was she annoyed? But when I looked at Alice's face I found something more dangerous. Indifference. Her normally shining eyes were like glazed. Frozen and unfeeling. She turned to me and looked at me just with enough interest as an assistant to a boss. Then she turned back to Ronda,

"I am sorry to interrupt you Ms. Meyers. I was about to leave." she nodded for saluting her once more then turned to me.

"I guess you don't have any other task for me today Mr. Alonzo?"

I looked at her face and couldn't move my mouth. Ronda talked on behalf of me.

"Yes sweety, you are dismissed. Go and spend your afternoon somewhere else." she said with enough venom to crawl even my skin. I gritted my teeth and glowered at Ronda. Who did she think she was! Alice was my assistant and she would leave when I say so. I expected Alice to look at me and search for confirmation but she didn't. She just turned and walked to the elevator that I was still standing in front of. I grabbed her wrist while she was passing me by. She stopped and turned to me. Her face puzzled.

I looked at her eyes. Big, brown and now blocked eyes to any emotion. She silently waited for me to talk. I felt Ronda's eyes drilling holes at my back but I didn't care.

"You don't have to go Ms. Wonderland. This is also your suite." I said.

She shook her head slightly,

"I don't want to stay while you..." she said and stopped in the middle of the sentence. I understood what she implied. While I have sex with Ronda.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

"... While you have a meeting." She completed her sentence politely.

"If you don't have any objection, I would rather go downstairs sir."

"Ihmm, hmm!" Ronda cleared her throat as if reminding she was standing there. Like I was fucking care.

"Let her enjoy the facilities a little, Anton. I guess she has never been to a place like this. She can return to her room at night."

Alice pulled her wrist from my grasp and nodded to salute me solemnly. She was leaving. She went to the elevator without any other word and I watched her all the damn time until the doors of the elevator closed and hid her from my eyes. Then I turned to Ronda, and glowered at her.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" I asked. A shock passed through her face.

"You called me, remember?"

"I called you to come here and spend time with me. Not to stand in the middle of my suite half naked and belittle my assistant!" I thundered. "Belittle your assistant? Since when do you care about the feelings of your staff?"

"Since when you started insulting people?" I answered. She sighed and looked at her feet, then raised her head.

"Okay, it was not the best of me, but I wanted her to leave as soon as possible to be alone with you." She said then started coming at me slowly.

She stopped in front of me then slowly dragged a finger from neck to my stomach tracing my muscles. Normally this little gesture was enough to unleash my beast and devour her in a jiffy. But not now. I was not in the mood. My mind left with Alice in that elevator and all my libido with it. She saw indifference in my gaze.

"What's the problem?" she asked.

"I didn't like the way you acted, Ronda. I am not exclusive with you and we have a strict rule not to let anyone know what we are doing, right?"

She looked in my eyes unbelievingly.

"Again, you called me!" she said a little yelling this time.

"I called you to have a good time together, yes, but didn't call you to expose our relation to everyone."

"It was your god damned assistant!" she yelled again, a muscle in my jaw ticked when she mentioned from her like that. "I am sure as hell, you have made her sign a disclosure before she starts. I don't understand why you are so upset about it. I am sure she will keep her mouth shut."

I also knew that it wasn't a big deal. Of course I made her sign a disclosure, involving keeping my personal life a secret too. But right now, this topic was keeping Ronda throwing herself onto me and I really didn't want to go down that road. "Still, you came to my suite, passed all those receptionists and staff of the hotel. Don't you know Sanders has ears all around. Why didn't you book a room with your fake name as we always do and let me know that you came? You appeared half naked in my suite, what if the person who saw you was not my assistant but a hotel maid?"

She paused. Considering what I said. And looked a little bit disturbed also. So, I hit the right string.

"I-I am sorry" she stuttered. "I didn't think that way. Since you called me to Sanders' hotel, I thought you were willing to take the risk. And I wanted to surprise you. I should have been more careful."

She dropped her gaze to her feet and looked really sorry. I felt like I didn't need to push this topic more. I extended my hand and caressed her face.

She raised her eyes expectantly. Fuck me, I was really a bad guy for what I was about to say. But I didn't have the slightest interest in her now. I couldn't even bring myself to kiss her.

"Now, go change and leave my suite. Book yourself a room as we always do. I will see you at dinner." I said. Her eyes widened in disbelief and disappointment. I knew I was acting like a jerk. I made her come all the way from New York to Hawaii. And now I was treating her like she was a garbage bag. But I couldn't stop myself anymore to go after Alice and comfort her.

I need to go right away, explain to her what this was, and make things right again between us. Not that I found a reasonable excuse for this. It was all self exploratory. But I had to try. I had to make her believe I don't care about Ronda. I turned my back instantly to Ronda and left the suite right away. I deliberately forced myself not to look at her again. Not to see what kind of damage I caused for her. When elevator doors closed I sighed in relief. I avoided her right now and I would think about her at night. Now I had to find Alice. Where could she be going? Beach? I didn't think so. She was not wearing beach clothes, I guess she wouldn't go to the beach or pool. So where else could she go? Fucking everywhere! This place was huge.

I called my bodyguard. Maybe he saw her. The head of my guards, Giani, was wise enough to understand what is important for me. Or who in this case. I wouldn't be surprised if he was keeping an eye on her even though I didn't say so. He picked up the call right before the elevator stopped.

"Giani..."

"Yes boss?"

"Have you seen Ms. Wonderland?"

"She is in the gardens, sir."

"Have you been tracking her?" I asked. Couldn't keep to myself.

"Shouldn't I, sir?"

"Do as you know best Giani."

"Thank you boss." We hung up. That was why I assigned Giani as the head of my guards. He was always one step ahead.

I changed my direction to the gardens. Which was really spectacular. Why shouldn't I think that? Alice was fond of the flowers. I remembered the way she was watching the garden of La vie, when I took her to the lunch. Of course she was in the garden.

I entered the garden area. This was a huge exotic garden, nearly a piece of heaven. She must be thrilled to be here. I hoped it eased a little bit of her disapointment after the encounter with Ronda.

I went to the heart of the garden and there she was, standing in front of an ivy wall. Her arms crossed, her brows furrowed. A tall man standing in front of her, his back turned to me. Something was not right. Who was he, why was she looking furious? Before I analyzed the scene more, the man standing there made a move at her, squeezing her between him and the wall. He was trying to kiss her. And she pushed him back with all of her might but she was delicate as a leaf. Before I knew what I was doing, I leapt in there, pulled the man from his shoulder and buried my fist onto his cheek.

Last thing I saw was the hideous smile of someone I knew very well. Someone, who enjoyed this beating because he knows what this means.

I punched Daryl Sanders in the face...
