Chapter 846
Chapter 0846
Calvin exclaimed once again, “Miranda is actually the granddaughter of the Garrison family?”
The more he thought about it, the more unbelievable it seemed!
Wait a minute…
“Doesn’t that make Sam and her… cousins?” This realization hit Calvin like a lightning bolt. What kind of dramatic plot twist was this? Oh my god!
Calvin’s first thought was that Sam must be losing his mind right now. His next thought
was…
He turned his head and glanced at Hansel discreetly.
Hansel was staring at the stage, his expression shifting from stunned, confused, realization, helplessness, and finally to overwhelming joy and excitement.
Calvin had never seen so many emotions expressed on a single face, each expression replaced by another entirely distinct one!
“Hans? Hans!”
Hansel snapped out of his thoughts. “What did you say?” novelbin
“Miranda and Sam… They are-
”
“Yeah, they’re cousins. No wonder they took a family photo together…‘
No wonder they came and went everywhere together. They even met each other’s parents. Hansel’s grin became impossible to suppress.
Calvin whispered, “Dude, you should tone it down.”
Hansel replied, “I can’t, even if I wanted to.”
“You’re gloating a little too much.”
Hansel said coldly, “I think I’m being pretty gracious compared to Sam’s deliberate provocations.”
Calvin thought, “You were the one overthinking in the first place.”
In another corner, Nelly watched the stage expressionlessly from the moment Aren took the stage to formally introduce Mindy and Lionel.
Next, Fiona revealed Miranda’s identity publicly and announced her to be the Garrison family’s princess. Lastly, even her own son stepped onto the stage by Miranda’s side as a show of support.
Nelly experienced a roller coaster of emotions, from mockery, confusion, jealousy, resentment, and finally, a complete mental breakdown!
What a birthday banquet! It was more like a happy family reunion!
“Nelly? Nelly!” Susan called.
“Huh? What did you say?” Nelly forced a smile and turned to Susan. The latter was frowning slightly as she gazed toward the stage in surprise and doubt.
Susan asked, “Are you sure your family hasn’t made a mistake?”
The daughter of the Garrison family…
The two of them had run into each other at a clothing store at a mall before. Back then, the other woman had even helped her pick out a very suitable outfit.
During their conversation, Susan found her to be a thoughtful and insightful woman. She had even considered befriending her. To her surprise…
The woman turned out to be the Garrisons‘ long–lost daughter. But that wasn’t even the most shocking part. What stunned her the most was that Miranda was actually her daughter?
An acquaintance she got along well with at first glance and the tea master whom she didn’t have a good first impression of…
Susan was filled with mixed emotions.
She wasn’t sure whether to extend her admiration of Mindy to her daughter or to let her dislike for Miranda sour her opinion of her mother.
“Mistake?” Nelly feigned surprise. “How could that be? My parents must have carefully verified everything before confirming my sister’s identity.”
“It seems like your parents really cherish your sister.”
Nelly suppressed the surge of jealousy in her heart. “Is that so?”
“Look at today’s arrangement. Both of your parents even took the stage to introduce her. It’s clearly a very formal announcement.‘
“Minnie’s been missing for so many years. It’s only natural for them to cherish her now that she is finally found.”
Susan sighed softly. “I’m glad you can see it that way.”
Nelly’s smile didn’t falter, but she was already gritting her teeth so hard her jaw ached. ” See things that way? Hah! What nonsense!” she thought.
Aren and Fiona treated her like an outsider. She had only received the invitation to this
birthday banquet two days before the event. She also had no clue about the arrangements for the reunion announcement.
How was she supposed to accept this?
