Chapter 845
Aren extended his hand, and everyone’s gaze followed the direction he was pointing toward…
Mindy and Lionel walked to the stage together, hand in hand. They became the center of attention instantly.
Aren said with a smile, “This is my daughter, Minnie Garrison, and my son–in–law, Lionel Sutton. I know some rumors were circulating before this, and I’ve heard bits and pieces of them.‘
At this point, the expressions of many in the audience became awkward. The outrageous rumors wouldn’t have spread as they did without the contributions of some of the guests present.
Aren continued, “Rumors are only rumors because they are exaggerated and unreliable sources of information. Since everyone is so curious, let me clarify some things.

“My daughter, Minnie, has a pen name, Mindy Harrison. It also happens to be her real name now. As for her job, she writes novels. She was also fortunate enough that her efforts have led her to become a top–selling mystery novelist.” novelbin
The crowd was somewhat confused. How could he attribute her achievements to pure luck?
Next, Aren turned to Lionel. “My son–in–law is just an ordinary man who graduated from Queenstone College. He’s currently a physics teacher at a prestigious high school in Lumberville and works hard to educate the next generation.
“Although his career might not seem like a grand achievement, he has nurtured many graduates who benefited society.”
After Aren finished his introduction, Fiona stepped up to the stage with a smile. “In addition, I would like to introduce someone to all of you, and that is my granddaughter. She’s the princess of the Garrison family and the apple of our eyes, Miranda Sutton.”
As soon as she spoke, Sam escorted Miranda to the stage. From that moment on, his status as her cousin was formally announced to the world.
Sam had long known that this day would come. Given how much Aren and Fiona cherished Mindy’s family, they would definitely announce their return publicly. However, Sam couldn’t help but feel a pang of bitterness and melancholy when the day finally arrived. From now on, they were cousins in the eyes of the world. They could only ever be relatives.
Miranda smiled faintly as she faced the amazed and curious gazes from the audience. Without even speaking, her natural poise far surpassed any words she could say.
At that moment, Miranda was calm and composed. She silently observed and assessed the
audience while they scrutinized her from below the stage as well.
After a brief silence, murmurs started filling the room.
“Well… Her looks and demeanor definitely live up to being a Garrison.”
“Who on earth started those outrageous rumors? Look at Ms. Minnie’s family, her husband and daughter are outstanding!”
“She went missing for over 20 years. Upon her return, she still received such high regard
from the Garrison family in addition to living a good life on her own too. That’s remarkable.

“Mindy Harrison? Is she the author of ‘Seven Days?“”
“It must be her! The top–selling mystery novelist!”
“Oh my god, is it really her? My dad is always so busy, yet he has her novel on his desk.”
“Just by the fact that he’s a graduate of Queenstone College proves that her husband is amazing too.”
“This family looks absolutely stunning…”
“Do you think Miranda… Ms. Sutton, is married yet?”
“Why? Are you
“Are you
not?”
interested?”
Two socialites exchanged knowing glances. Aren and Fiona had made it clear that Miranda was the beloved princess of the Garrison family. No one here was foolish. The weight of that statement was enough to entice them, especially for families with unmarried sons. Having the Garrison family as in–laws would be a dream come true for many people!
Hansel and Calvin were utterly dumbfounded at this revelation. Calvin swallowed his saliva and stammered, “So, Miranda is part of the Garrison family? This… They kept it way too well–hidden!”
This was something they could have easily confirmed by asking Sam. However, the problem was that Sam seemed to have withdrawn from them and distanced himself from their social circles. So, there was no way to ask him.
Even if they did meet up, it wasn’t something that would naturally come up in conversation. Honestly, it wasn’t his fault that they were out of the loop.
