Stripped of his powers, Kenneth was gasping, pain wracking his body, making him sweat bullets. He shut his eyes, not wanting to see the judging eyes around him.

"How could this happen..." Sydney was speechless. Kenneth had been entrenched in the Enforcement Division for years, how did things fall apart so fast?

"Aaron! Aaron!" she cried, crouching down and calling his name, "What happened? What on earth happened?"

Kenneth stayed silent. What could he possibly say? This punishment was his to bear. And under no circumstances could he mention Flora. Otherwise, he'd be signing his own death warrant. People around them were exchanging looks, just as baffled. How did Kenneth get booted out so suddenly, and in such a harsh manner?

"Teddy's in hot water too, so Sydney can't gloat anymore. She used to brag about her fiancé in the Enforcement Division. Well, not anymore!" Some folks were feeling pretty smug about it. Sydney always acted high and mighty, and they'd had enough of it!
