Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 216

Chapter 216

Sofia’s POV

“You have a little cousin?” I asked him after a few moments had passed and the elevator had started to

move slowly.

Luca nodded his head once. “Yeah, I do. James would never ever admit it but he’s so much in love with

her.” Luca breathed out and I knew that he had a connection with this said cousin as soon as I gasped

the soft tune he was using in talking about her.

“Oh, who is she? I had no idea you had a cousin.” I started to say after a few moments and Luca’s

laugh wasn’t a funny one, it sounded dry and unfunny to my ears, right before he started to reply.

“I have a lot of cousins, we’re all just not on good terms at the moment, for a really long while, and

some, ever since we were born.” I blinked a little as his words sank into my head and I started to

wonder just how many other details of Luca are out there that I was yet to know about.

“Oh.” I said in response, because I honestly had no idea of what to say in reply to that. If I choose to

start to ask him more questions, I was sure he wasn’t going to respond to them and was going to only

try to make me forget about what it was that I was asking of by shutting me up, with a kiss, or bringing

up a new topic instead. I also didn’t want to think about this particular thing as well for now, because I

didn’t want it to interrupt my mood tonight.

I puffed out a deep breath and moved my weight from foot to foot in the next second, lifting my hand up

to push my hair out of my face.

“Yeah, I do. The only cousin I keep in touch with is Aria, the one James is in love with.” He continued

and I nodded my head silently without saying a thing.

“She’s here in Italy?” I asked instead, wondering if she had attended Luca’s and my wedding in the

next moment. NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

“Yes, she is. She’s currently ill. Once she gets better, I want the both of you to meet each other.” He

continued and I felt a warm feeling started to bloom in the middle of my chest in next instant, and I

setter up at him and smiled a little without saying a thing. He patted my cheeks a little and returned my

smile just as the elevator doors slide open.

I gasped a little as I took in the whole designs, I had only taken in a few things up and I had come to

the quick conclusion that this place was so much good looking than the first place Luca and I had gone

on a date to.

“Oh my god, Luca… this place looks so beautiful.” I breathed out as I turned around to stare up at Luca

and he nodded his head once before tucking a strand of my hair at the back of my ear for me.

“I know, bunny. I own this place.” He replied and felt my stomach tighten up and whoosh out on a slow

breath in the next moment, and I closed the small distance between us to press myself against his

front, while staring up at him.

“Oh wow, really?” I whispered and I watched as he nodded his head once in response.

“This place looks really big, and it must have cost a huge fortune.” I began to say and felt my cheeks

start to heat up when he started to chuckle as if I had said something funny at that very moment.

“Bunny?” He called out as he cupped my face in his hand. “I have over thirty hotels, this particular one

isn’t one of the really expensive ones.” He pointed out and I blinked up at him.

“Oh.” I stated, feelimg dumb for a second. Of course he had over ten hotels that were a lot costly,

because it was him and he was a huge billionaire, what had I been thinking in the first place after all.

“Yes, bunny.” He said before leaning down and cupping my face with his other hand.

“And I want you to have this one.” He continued and I stared wide eyed at him, blinking a few times as I

felt tears start to sting the insides of my eyes in the very next moment.

“Aw, bunny don’t start crying, I most definitely didn’t gift you a huge ass hotel for you to start shedding

tears.” He started to say in a tone that made it sound almost like a whine, and I breathed out a small

laugh that was unfortunately watery as I started to speak.

“I’m not crying.” I choked out just as I felt Luca’s thumb catch a teardrop as soon as it was dangling on

my eyelashes, not giving it a chance to slide down my cheeks.

“Of course you’re not, bunny. It’s suddenly starting to rain here, that’s all.” Luca continued and I choked

out a small sob and buried my face into his chest, feeling his hand start to stroke my hair as his other

one wrapped around my waist.

“Bunny? Don’t you like the hotel anymore? I thought you did.” Luca started to say as his fingers moved

through my hair, and I found myself sobbing more, feeling love start to swell and move throughout all

my body all at once. I had almost known in the back of my mind that I was starting to fall in love with

Luca for a while now, but I had always tried to shove that piece of information into the back of my mind.

At this very moment, that love was shimmering on the very surface, making me feel thoroughly loved

and appreciated and rated, because surely he wouldn’t do all these for someone he wasn’t in love with,

I was almost sure about it. It wasn’t like he told me about it, a part of my mind was just sure about it.

“You can pick from the rest of my hotels if you don’t like this one anymore, alright bunny?” Luca started

to say once again as he started to move my head off his chest in order for me to be able to stare up

into his face, and I breathed out a small westerly laugh as I shoved him, ignoring the fact that he didn’t

move an inch, before starting to speak.

“It isn’t about that, and you know it.” I pointed out to him as I sniffed a little. Luca pulled out a

handkerchief from his suit jacket and started to dab at my cheeks and a little at my eyes in order to not

completely ruin my eye makeup.

“You’re so cute.” He stated as he continued to dad at my face before he continued. “And you cry a lot,

such a cute little baby.” He mused with a small laugh and I scrunch my nose up in displeasure at his

words and pinched his waist a little, watching as he snorted at my attempt to inflict a little pain on him.

“Why are you giving me your hotel as a present?” I asked after a few moments and Luca had put his

handkerchief away. I was glad we were alone up here at the moment.

“I just want to gift you with a lot of things, if you’d let me.” He replied in a low voice, and I felt my

stomach do s little flip flop in that particular moment.

“You spoil me way too much.” I whispered, because it was the complete truth. Luca gifts me with way

too many things that at this point, I had lost count of the gifts… and they were all costly things. If it

wasn’t a gold set of earrings, it was a silver necklace, or a diamond three set, or a silver watch, and

other costly things that I know I do not actually deserve, but couldn’t bring myself to reject them,

because even if I try to not accept them, Luca was going to make sure I accept them… coupled with

the fact that it makes him happy each time I accept his gifts.

“You deserved to be spoiled, to be spoiled with a lot of exquisite things, the finest things here on earth.”

He paused.

I could feel my eyes start to sting up once again, those stupid tears bags were so damn weak, always

making me start to tear up in every little minute.

“Aw, bunny, please don’t start to shed tears once again, I really hate it when you cry.” Luca moaned out

and I started to nod my head instantly.

“I know, I know, I’m trying not to.” I replied and choked back a small sob, using my thumb to catch the

small drops of tears that were already starting to cling to my eyelashes once again, the way Luca does

to me each time I was starting to tear up.

“What’s the reason for you gifting me with a hotel though?” I asked after a few moments and Luca

shrugged like I was supposed to automatically know the reasons before starting to speak.

“As an early birthday present.”
