You Can Run But You Can't Hide My Contractual Wife

Chapter 272: Handsome King On His Throne

Chapter 272: Handsome King On His Throne

“Arabella… Where are you, Arabella… Please answer. Please answer the phone.” Eric was in the

middle of an important meeting with his subordinates but he had to dismiss it quickly after reading

Arabella’s message.

He tried to call her so many times but there was no answer.

She didn’t pick up his call.

He was already pissed as his nervousness was slowly killing him inside.

“Arabella… why are you so stubborn?” Eric sat on his swivel chair in his office but quickly got up

walked and sat again.

He could not gain his calm with Arabella’s message.

He knew there was something in her message.

He felt he could not see her again.

Then Eric quickly called his secretary.

“Arrange a flight back to Capital Z today.” He ordered with no spirit in his tone.

His mind was preoccupied with Arabella.

He was very worried about her.

Just when the door of his office opened.

He was stunned looking at the person who just entered his office.

“Eric, I’m here… I’m here to apologize.” Lyndon Byer, Rosy’s father came.

It was an expected visit from him.

He looked tired and he was like an animal without a home.

He was very different from the nobleman he once knew.

Eric sat on the couch as he pointed to the sofa in front of him.

“Have a seat Uncle Byer.” Eric could not be rude to the man who he owed for his success now.

Without him, Eric could not reach his wealthy status right now.

Mr. Byer sat on the sofa with lowered head and shoulder.

He seemed to be so sorry for what he had done.

“What happened, Uncle Byer? What you did to our company was not acceptable. Coming from you?

Not in my wildest mind could think that you will betray me and my company.” Though he was trying his

best not to explode in front of him, Eric couldn’t still hold his dismay towards the man he looked up to.

He couldn’t believe in just an instant, he changed.

He changed a lot to the point of leaving his family for sluts and gambling.

“Trust me, Eric… It wasn’t my plan at all. I met a woman who is very beautiful on one of my family’s

cruises. She likes to play a lot in casinos. As a man I did everything to make her happy and for her to

be my woman. I know it’s wrong but I cannot control myself, Eric. I was hypnotized by her beauty and

her smile to me was divine!” Mr. Byer shook his head slowly like he still remembered the girl they first

met.

He seemed to be so in loved and fond of the girl.

Eric couldn't believe what he was hearing but he listened.

He eagerly wanted to know what made a nobleman change that sudden.

What made him give up her family and what made him embezzle funds in his company?

He wanted to know everything from scratch.

“She loved me too. We traveled together everywhere where we can play casino with her friends. Of

course, I have to pay for everything. I have to sustain her happiness.” Mr. Byer continued then he

stopped with a gloomy face.

“Then what happened?” Though he knew it already, Eric asked just to make him realize what he had

lost.

“He left me with another rich man when she heard me talking to Rosy. She heard me stole funds then

she thought I’m broke.” Mr. Byer answered with full of bitterness in his tone. “I’m sorry Eric.” He said full

of regrets.

Eric looked at him seriously.

In his mind, his uncle Byer just wasted his money for a gold climber slut.

It was the money of his company.

He couldn’t help to heave a very deep sigh to control his anger.

“Where’s the girl now? What is her name?” Eric was determined to teach the girl a lesson.

She had to pay what she owed him.

She had to pay all his money.

“I don’t know… and I just found out that the name she gave to me wasn’t true.” With full of

disappointment in his tone, Mr. Byer answered. “She told me her name is Stephanie Collins.” Mr. Byer

added.

“Well then, you are deceived by a gold digger, uncle Byer,” Eric concluded with full of irritation in his

tone.

The girl’s name alone made him very disgusted.

The person he hated the most was gold diggers.

He would definitely find this woman to appease his intensifying irk inside.

He would never let this woman go until she would see what she destroyed in her hand.

She destroyed a family.

She is a homewrecker.

This kind of people should be taught a lesson.

“I will take care of this woman, uncle Byer. Don’t worry, I will make sure she will get her karma for

tricking you. Go home now to your family. You belong nowhere but to your family.” Eric treated Mr.

Byer’s family as his own so their matter was also his.

“Eric, I am really sorry.” Mr. Byer uttered again. “I… I swore, I wanted to pay you but I still didn’t have

the money but I have a proposal for you.” Mr. Byer conveyed with full of seriousness in his tone.

He looked at Eric trying to get his approval for his proposal.

“What is your proposal?” Eric had no idea what Mr. Byer was trying to say.

Puzzled, he eagerly waited to hear his proposal.

“I… I want you to marry my daughter Rosy. Take Rosy as your wife. That is to show you how sorry I am

that even my dearest wife, I will entrust her to you.” Mr. Byer answered directly.

Eric was suddenly taken aback.

This just meant that Mr. Byer was paying him with his daughter, Rosy.

If only Rosy would know this, she would probably have gone mad.

“I can’t.” Eric quickly answered. “I can’t marry Rosy.” He strongly refused with the respect of her best Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

friend.

“But Eric, don’t take it wrongly. My daughter had loved you for a very long time. She was madly in love

with you. If you make her your wife, she would be the happiest girl.” Mr. Byer defended his argument.

“No. I can’t. I can’t because I have already a woman that I love and I am already married to her.” Eric

answered back.

Hearing Eric, Mr. Byer was in awe.

He couldn’t believe what he heard.

“Is that true?” He wanted to confirm if he was hearing it right.

“Yes. And Rosy knows about it.” Eric answered directly.

“But…what about my daughter?” Mr. Byer’s tone was full of worries. “Don’t you know that she loves

you very much? She had no boyfriend since birth because she was waiting for you, Eric. She was

waiting for you to love her back.” Mr. Byer continued with a sincere and dismayed expression.

“I know,” Eric answered honestly. Ever since he knew Rosy loves him more than a best friend but it was

unfair for her if he would just teach his heart to love her because he knew she loved him. Nevertheless,

the heart couldn’t be deceived and couldn’t be taught. It has its own mind and feelings. “I know from the

very start, Mr. Byer but my heart belongs to somebody else,” Eric added with firmness in his tone.

After hearing him, Mr. Byer nodded. He seemed to understand him clearly. Then he heaved a deep

sigh.

“Well then, forget my proposal. When can I meet your wife?” Mr. Byer asked trying to use a cheerful

tone to cover up his dismay.

“Soon. I will bring her next time.” Eric answered with a smile.

“Okay then… I’m looking forward to it Eric.” Mr. Byer said. “About the money…” He wanted to tackle

with him how he was going to pay Eric but Eric cut him.

“No need. I hope the nobleman I once knew got the lesson from this experience. Go home now. Say

sorry to your family before it’s too late.” Eric suggested in a good mood.

Mr. Byer nodded and hugged him apologetically before he left.

Eric had sobered up.

His conversation with Mr. Byer went all good.

He looked up to the man as his real father and for him, it was more valuable than money.

He swore to introduce him to the woman he loved the most.

After a while, he got a call from his secretary.

“Sir, your flight was set for tonight at 10 pm.” Ms. Sarah Ward, Eric’s secretary announced.

“I got it but first, I have someone for you to find out. AKA Stephanie Collins, not her real name. I will

send to you her picture later. I want her information no later than today. Clear?” Remembering the

woman’s name made him pissed again.

He uttered his words indifferently and he was like scolding his secretary.

After his order, he dropped the call and texted his Uncle Byer to send him the photo of the gold digger.

Then he sat on his working chair.

Immediately, his phone chimed.

He quickly opened it.

It was the picture he asked for from his uncle.

He pressed the attachment and the photo opened.

His heart suddenly skipped a beat.

The girl in the photo was very beautiful.

What his uncle said was all true. Her beauty could hypnotize.

He was even hypnotized by just a picture of Stephanie smiling on a swing.

She looked young and full of spirit.

Eric couldn’t help but massage his forehead.

He could not be also deceived by her.

Her pretty charming look was her power to victimize older men.

Grabbed their money until they got broke the left them with another.

What a shame!

Eric cursed the beautiful photo in front of him.

Never he would fall for a girl like her.

A disgusting gold-digger.

Meanwhile, in the restaurant, Arabella met Bill’s scorching eyes.

How this man looked at her was like already killing her.

Undeniably, even if his eyes were furious, his handsomeness never lessened even a bit.

With true honesty, his intimidating powerful character perfectly complimented his domineering charm.

The handsome powerful king on his throne.

His stare gave her a chill down her spine.

She tried her very best not to stumble and fall to the ground which would cause her to die in

embarrassment with the presence of the new woman robot.

“I’m …” She started talking mustering her courage. “Senator Meyer sent me here to give you this.” She

reached out the envelope to him.

At this time, she just hoped that he would simply receive the envelope then she would leave

immediately without no turning back but Bill’s eyes were fixated on her.

He didn’t even give a single glance at the envelope.

“Leave!” Bill finally spoke. His eyes turned darker as he yelled.

She trembled in fright.

She was already expecting this but she could still not help trembling.

‘Arabella get a grip!’ She reminded herself boosting her confidence.

But his voice alone could make her knees soften.

His stare alone could make her heart shiver.

His whole persona made her very scared.

How could the most handsome in her eyes also scare her the most?

“I…” She uttered trying to defend the situation and herself but her words didn’t push through.

“I’m sorry Ms. Jones but you need to leave now.” Cherrie quickly blocked her sight again as she cut her

words.

“No!” Arabella strongly refused. She could not leave without accomplishing her mission. Her father

would die. “I will not leave until he will get this envelope.” She felt wasted by the woman who was like a

robot to her.

Bill’s new robot.

“Bill Sky. Get this envelope and I will leave!” She roared demanding the man.

She was so sick of her situation. First with Sen. Meyer and him.

She was like a little marshmallow in the middle of giant walls.

She would just be squeezed flat if they smashed each other.

She felt also like a puppet and a bait.

Whichever, she felt nothing good was about to happen.

Between the two walls, in the end, she swore she would not suffer again.

“Ms. Jones, leave now or I will call the security,” Cherry warned her with eyeballs bulging in anger.

“Huh! Don’t block my way. I need to give this envelope to your boss and I will leave.” She blurted out.

Seeing her unmoved, Cherry snapped her fingers.

Three men hurriedly came in.

They were about to grab Arabella but, “All of you, leave!” Bill roared again sitting on his throne

domineeringly.

Cherry snapped it out as she looked at Bill.

Then she quickly strode outside followed by Bill’s men leaving Arabella alone with Bill Sky in the

room.
