CHAPTER 23: SAMANTHA
My plan to stay for two days here in Manila did not happen. In the evening, I returned to Boracay with Seth and took my purchases to the island. The next day we returned to Manila.
And today is my third day here. I currently live in Tricia's house, but I also plan to return to our house.
If you asked me why I am doing this? It's simple. I want to know the truth. I want to know who is really to blame for why my life has become so chaotic. I want the culprit to pay for the loss of my child.
And one more thing, in the eyes of God and the eyes of man, Tranz and I are still married so I have all the rights. If I had lost my interest then, it is different now. I don't know what's gotten into me. But when I talked to those three, I suddenly regained my courage.
I want to give back the suffering that Tranz caused me. If he wants an annulment, I won't give it. He's bound with me. I won't let the two of them be happy with each other. I went through much pain so I wouldn't give them the pleasure to be together. If holding into him will be the way for them both to suffer, I will not sign the annulment papers.
I know someone will call me insane, but this is my decision. This is the way I want to take my revenge. We are legally married so this is all I have to do.
"Minakels?" Lily called at the same time as she knocked on the door.
From fixing myself in front of the mirror I stood up.
"You're beautiful, Mina, always remember that ..."
Who said that?
Ah, Tranz. The greatest husband of all. Then last night, as I watched the stars at the veranda, Seth told me that too. When I looked Seth in the eyes, I could see how he feels for me. I saw no lust in his eyes. It's pure love and longing. But I talked to him last night. I told him what I am up to.
He objected, yes. But in the end, he can't do anything especially when I told him my decision is final.
I know they're worried about me, but I have to do this.
"Are you ready-❞ Lily couldn't continue her question when I opened the door. She even covered her mouth with her hand as her gaze hovered over me. She looks so absurd because her eyes are getting bigger and bigger. "Oh my gosh, Mina!" She screamed.
"Why?"
"Dummy, you look like a mother with ten children. My God. Tell me the truth, where are you going? Is it in the paddy field to plow? My gas! You look like trash!"
She even touched the hem of my black dress. I was wearing a black dress that was up to my knees. I also wore black leggings.
"Do you want a native hat, girl? I can't explain your taste in fashion. You know I'm confused by your fashion, eh. I don't know if you are a farmer or a pregnant widow. You're beautiful, Mina, no doubt about that. But you know what's the problem? You look SYANANG."
"Syanang? What's that?"
"Provincial girl." She grabbed my hand and was about to pull me inside but I stopped hee.
"Why?"

"I'm okay with what I'm wearing, Lily. I'm not going to a party to fix myself. We'll just talk to Denver and Samantha so I don't have to wear makeup, "I explained to her.
This time, I grabbed her and pulled her out of the room. She wanted to protest but she can't do anything because I was holding her hand.
Denver clinic is only in Makati so we're already in front of his clinic in a few minutes.
My head is shaking as I watched Lily's back. She looks like she's going to start a war because of the way she walks. Imagine a beautiful woman wearing a sexy signature dress, but the way she walks, she likes a hobo while entering the clinic. I pulled her hand.
"Calm down. You even defeated the soldier in what you were doing. People are looking at you.
33
"Excuse me. They're looking at us because we're beautiful, okay? After this, call your parents so they don't have to worry about you. Psh, because of what you have been through, you have forgotten your parents. Don't be like that, Mina. Because even if the world is turned upside down, in the end, your family will always there to help you.

I couldn't answer what Lily said. I was struck by what she said.
Why does it seem like Tranz is more important than my parents who love me?

I swallowed first because of what seemed to be a large object blocking my throat.
"I will, Lily." I closed my eyes and bit my lower lip to hold back my tears.
She stopped walking and faced me so I headed over. "Are you crying?" She grabbed my chin and lifted my face. "Seriously? My gas! You're crying!" She pulls me to the side that is why passersby are looking at us but she doesn't seem to care. "Can you face Samantha, Mina?"
I hesitated to nod. "Y-yes..."
"Psh! Yes? But with your pale skin, you look like a ghost." I heard her deep sigh. "You have to hold on to yourself, Mina, because you're not just going to face a woman, but a mistress!" She pointed to my chest. "Your heart must be strong so that you are not immediately shattered in front of the woman who ruined your life. You need to, when you face them both, you need to show that you are brave and you will not be easily shaken by their threats. Because when they see that your are weak, they will oppress you more."
"B-but we still don't have proof that Samantha is my husband's mistress, do we?"
"Oh, you are a hopeless case, Mina." To my surprise, she pinched me. "Oh, sorry. I was just thrilled," she apologized but laughed. "Come on. You know too much. But in defending yourself, you don't know."
I just did not answer him. We were about to walk again when in front of us we met a woman and a man.
The guy is wearing a scrub suit while the woman is wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans yet she still looks beautiful and sophisticated.
"She's Samantha, Mina. A woman with a beautiful face but a rotten soul. A woman who will grab the opportunity when you're not around. "Lily whispered.
