Chapter 3 It’s Unnecessary
Chapter 3 It’s Unnecessary
As his mate from a young age, Freddie knew Hamish very well; but regarding Isobel, he could not
understand what Hamish thought about.
Although Mermaid's Tears was worth ten million dollars, the last owner as well as the present owner
would not like to keep it. Freddie did not think it was so lovely as it looked .
He looked at Hamish trying to ask, “So, you don’t mind Isobel selling it?”
Hamish dropped the ash of his cigarette and said with some smile, “Why to mind it?”
He gave such an easy answer that caused Freddie fail to talk more.
“Hamish!” While Martha was calling the name, Freddie put Mermaid's Tears back to his pocket.
Just the moment, Martha was here to see Freddie and asked, “What are you hiding?”
They had similar family backgrounds and got to hear every name. Even if Martha’s personality was
different from Hamish and Freddie, they still got to know each other well.
However, Freddie was not fond of Martha. In his opinion, Isobel was much better than her. He just
would not like to give more comments about her for Hamish’s decision.
Freddie smiled to say, “No, no, nothing!”
Martha sneered and had a look at Hamish, “I heard Yasmin are selling many collections of limited
editions. Do you know which heartbroken woman determined to do it?”
Her words annoyed Freddie who finally did not talk anymore.
Hamish finished his cigarette to see Martha, “Won’t you go shopping with your sweetie today?”
She came to his arms and answered, “Yes, I am going. But I miss you so much; just come here to see
you.”
Hamish smiled to touch her cheek and watched her gently. But Freddie felt something strange between
them.
Just now, he saw some people came around among whom there was Isobel.
He turned to look at Hamish who was talking with Martha as well as looking down; Hamish seemed not
to see Isobel.
Freddie tried to tell him, finally stopped.
Soon, Isobel walked to them. Martha stood up to see Isobel in a light-color dress; she patted Hamish to
say, “We are so lucky to meet a friend today; will you say hello to her?”
Hamish turned to see Isobel, still leaning on the railing casually. He just answered, “It’s unnecessary.”
And Isobel was there in front of them.
She should not see either one of them and passed soon.
In fact, she understood how hurt she was in heart now.
Isobel was almost falling down as soon as coming into the room. With the manager, Audrey Woods
holding her, she stood still.
She put on a happy face to say, “Excuse me. Audrey.”
Audrey said, “It’s ok. If not feeling well today, you can take one day off.”
Listening to what she said, Isobel said, “No, thank you. I did not stand well.”
Audrey was too experienced to ask more questions; then she was taking a seat.
During the dinner, Isobel was totally unconcentrated. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
She tried her best, but it occurred to her that Hamish said “It’s unnecessary.”
Unnecessary.
She was the last one he would like to see.
