Chapter 51
Katherine had no idea of what she was doing that so much time passed her by. The moment Ollie left, She crashed on the sofa and was drowning in her thoughts and before she knew it, her room door flung open. Magda walked in, with a tray of some yummy delicacies.
Kathie could swear that before now, She wasn't hungry but the moment Magda placed the food before her, her stomach rumbled.
"Thank you." She mumbled when Magda sat the food on the table beside the couch she was sitting on. She opened the orange juice and poured some into the glass cup. She reached for the cup, took a sip, then dug in, cutting some piece of chicken which she stuffed in her mouth.
Magda frowned. "Did I miss anything?" She was literally thinking of how she would persuade Katherine to eat the food on her way back but she was more worried than amazed by the sight before her.
Katherine didn't say anything. She stuffed more chicken in her mouth.
"You know how much I hate being kept in the dark. What is it?."
Katherine reached for the cup and took a sip of her juice.
"Oliver said we are coming with him to Australia on Friday. The triplets and I."
Magda frowned even deeper. "Is he in his right mind?"
"I doubt it but the sad part is that he looked so damn serious when he said it all. He said we will get to Australia on Friday and that we will get married on Saturday."
"Apparently, that was what he had in mind all along. He just used Lewis's secret to his advantage."
"Are...are you going to marry him?" Magda couldn't help but ask.
"Of course not. Why would I?"
"Even if he's the last man on earth, I would rather die single."
"He knows the triplets are with Michie. I don't know how he knew about that but he said he wants to see them tomorrow."
"Dear!" Magda said with worry etched over her voice and also on her face.
"What are you gonna do?"
"Are you seriously scared for me?" She glared at Magda where Magda stood.
She sighed, then took closer steps to where Kathie was seated, occupying the empty space by her side.
"I'm just worried, honey. I don't believe Oliver will say all of these to you as a prank. What are you going to do?"
Katherine shrugged, "I don't care the kind of motive he has but I'm not going anywhere with him. And neither are my kids. I'm not going to give up without a fight so he should bring it on."
"What about seeing the triplets tomorrow?"
"I haven't decided but I don't think I'm going to allow him."
"Are you sure?"
"There's a difference between being a jerk and being polite about stuff and until he learns that, I'm going to take the law into my own hands."
"I trust you, baby but I don't trust him. What if he goes to Michelle's place? What will your kids think about you? You know how Sophie has been lately?"
The duo were silent for a few seconds.
"Honestly, I wasn't bothered before you came in because I felt no one could make me do what I don't want to do. More less of Oliver who keeps throwing threats at me. But right now, I don't know anymore."
"I'll probably go to Michie's place tonight, pick my babies and then fly to somewhere peaceful until Ollie disappears."
"I don't think you should do that.,"
"You're just giving him more advantage over you if this were to ever go to court. Sammy, Sophie, and Sebastian are still young to go through the trauma of custody and all of that."
"Look, I'm not saying you should say YES to tying the knot with him. What I mean is that, there are definitely better ways of going about this. You can still stand your ground. It's all about coming to an agreement with him."
"You think I haven't tried that? Oliver is a beast who just wants to get back at me for nothing. I don't have a direct plan yet but I know I'm not going to let him win over me."
"Oh dear," Magda sighed, taking one of Katherine's hands in hers. "You need to erase the lose-win mentality from your mind and thoughts. At this point, compromise and sacrifice would be better. There definitely has to be some percentage of sacrifices because of your three children."
"You know how kids are when it comes to their Dad and trust me, I see your kids as the clingy type. Just give them the chance to get to know their father."
"But why are you supporting him?" She stared deeply into Magda's eyes.
"I'm not, darling. The truth sometimes is really hard but we've got to do what is right."
"I don't want to go to Australia. There's no way I'm going to fit in there."
"You are not going anywhere. If there should be anyone that should make the most sacrifice then it's Ollie. But you know that's almost impossible because of his business over there."
"Okay, mama, before giving me that look, just know I'm just being real. If your kids want to be with him all the time, something must be done, isn't it?" "They've lived all their lives without him so there's no need for being so clingy right now."
"You have a point. But I want you to know things are not going to remain the same again. But whatever it is, I want you to be strong and positive." Katherine slowly gave a nod.
"Can I go back to my food now?" She pouted.
Magda chuckled, "You look like someone who is excited about a wedding."
"Didn't mean to say that!" Magda chuckled, raising her hands.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
"But you've been there and you gave a good review about the place."
"It's a good place but I'm not going there. Most especially to live with Oliver fucking Gusto."
"How's mom's party going?" She tried to change the topic, digging into the rice on the plate.
"She's having the time of her life so don't worry. Surprisingly, Oliver already made an excuse for you so she's not angry about your absence." "He's doing too much and I'll be glad when he realizes that it's all in vain."
"You said you guys were once into each other. Could there be any possibility that that feeling still exists?"
"Come on, Magda. That was a very long time ago."
"You call seven years a very long time?"
"Isn't it?"
"No, it isn't. If you still feel something for him, no matter how little, then know that the feeling is here to stay." Katherine rolled her eyes as she continued to eat her food.
At some point, Magda had to excuse herself. Since Katherine was absent, her presence was needed at the party to make sure things were in order. Once Katherine was done eating, She went straight to her closet, and changed into a bum shorts and a big v-neck shirt. She paired it with matching slides and put her hair in a long ponytail.
Before she knew it, She reached for her small luggage box and began stuffing it with clothes and two pairs of shoes.
She proceeded to her vanity area, picked up some skincare products, and added them to the luggage.
Remembering she forgot a very
important item, Kathie rushed back to her closet. She opened the safe and took the four passports that were there, along with the credit card she always made use of whenever she traveled.
Stuffing it along with other essentials into her bag, Kathie reached for her hand bag, luggage box, and exited her room.
"Where the hell are you going to?" She heard the tormenting voice as soon as she stepped out of her room and was shutting the door behind her. Katherine ignored and neither did she look at the face that just spoke even though she could hear the individual take steps towards her.
Once her room door was locked, she
put the key in her handbag, connected her hand to the handle of her luggage box, and rolled it as she
took steps towards the stairs but before she could start going down, Oliver got there and blocked her way.
"Where the fuck do you think you are going?"
Katherine swallowed painfully, darting her eyes away from this chest area to his face.
Yeah, he had no shirts on.
"What are you now? A stalker?" She managed to say, snapping out of whatever she saw earlier.
"So you've still not learned your lesson? The next reasonable thing you could do and think of is running away? How mature of you!"
"The last time I remember, my fucking rights to freedom of movement still exists. I can go to any fucking place at any fucking time!"
"I hope you're not taking my children with you?" He said with venom in his voice.
"Sorry, what children?! They are definitely not yours."
"You're a whole lot more to deal with than I thought. And I feel so sorry for you because it's going to put you in a very disadvantaged position."
"You're wrong. I'll never be bullied by anyone and most importantly by you."
"I honestly don't care where you go or what you do, I want to see you and my children here before evening by tomorrow."
"In your dreams!"
"Don't dare me, Woman! You don't know what I'm capable of."
"And what the hell are you capable of? I made it clear to you that we don't want you in our lives, what else can you not understand?"
Knowing saying anything further
wouldn't change anything, Oliver got
out of her way. He took out his phone from his pocket, tapped a
things on the screen, and soon
enough brought the phone to let
ear. The person on the other end picked up immediately as if the person was at his beck and call.
"Josh, I need you to contact the necessary people to ensure that a woman named Katherine Peters doesn't leave this country." Katherine's eyes widened as she slowly turned around to face Oliver who had his attention on the conversation he was making.
"Yes. 26 years old. 5 '3, light-skinned, dark wavy hair, plump pink lips, average height, full boobs, and ass."
"I'll forward you her pictures once I end this call. She will be with three kids. Triplets. Two boys and a girl. I've never seen them but they are seven years old with the names Sophie, Sebastian and Samuel."
"I really don't want you to lock down the airport so other people can carry on with their lives but if shutting it down will make Katherine and the children
not escape, then go ahead."
"Pass the same message to the officers at the checkpoints too."
"Yeah, thank you. If anything else comes up I'll let you know." He said and ended the call.
"What the hell?" Katherine said in shock with tears in her eyes.
"Don't prove too smart when you're not. I have people assigned to monitor your movements. They are to give me feedback concerning everything you
do."
"You are free to go anywhere you want to. Just stay safe and be here by tomorrow with my kids."
Without allowing her to say anything, Oliver proceeded to his room.
