Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

Let me have a go at shooting

Marco then gazed at Letta, now peacefully asleep. Letta had closed her eyes for five minutes, yet for some reason, Marco felt reluctant to move from his seat. It was as if he wanted to keep observing his wife’s face. Marco reached out, gently caressing the side of Letta’s face, which sometimes made Letta furrow her brow, or sometimes even smile. It provided a comforting feeling for Marco.

Suddenly, a knock was heard from Letta’s door, causing Marco’s movements to halt. “Come in,” Marco said, causing Pedro to finally open the door and immediately bow before Marco. “It seems we need to move now to meet Jacob,” Pedro said. Marco sighed deeply as he stood up from his seat. “Actually, a few minutes ago, I wanted to move, but somehow, I felt so unwilling to leave here,” Marco said while gazing at Letta for a moment before turning around.

“Let it be, let’s go now. If I follow my heart, my beloved cousin might cause trouble again,” Marco said, making Pedro follow his steps slowly. They closed the bedroom door and descended the stairs. Marco immediately called for Desi. “Accompany Letta when she wakes up. Take her around the house and observe her movements. Give her any food she desires, but don’t take her to the back hallway. Haven’t I already told you everything?” Marco said, making Desi nod. “Alright, Sir. I understand my duty,” Desi said, making Marco nod and continue his steps.

Marco got into the car, followed by Pedro. They needed to quickly resolve all the problems that Jacob had caused. Jacob had caused Marco to suffer losses, even though Marco didn’t really dwell on those losses. However, Marco didn’t want Jacob to continue underestimating him just because of a momentary lapse.

“Where is he now?” Marco asked, causing Pedro to look towards the front mirror. “It seems he’s in a basement we managed to trace. Apparently, he has a friend who helped him penetrate our security network,” Pedro said, making Marco nod.

“Alright, then let’s head straight there and give him a surprise,” Marco said, prompting Pedro to immediately press the accelerator, cutting through the streets towards the edge of the city where Jacob was located. They were followed by four other cars trailing Marco’s car until they finally arrived at a dilapidated barn, where Pedro’s men swiftly got out of the car.

“We don’t need to hide or evade. We will confront him openly,” Marco said, making Pedro nod. After giving instructions to his men, Marco strode towards the barn. “So he’s hiding in a barn like this,” muttered Marco. He kicked the barn door with a creaking sound, causing the dark barn to swing wide open. However, Pedro furrowed his brow when he found no one inside. Marco stepped forward, examining some unused chairs and a stack of hay in the corner of the barn, but their traces were still visible.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

There were cigarette butts, empty cans, and various tools such as computers, chips, and other equipment. Marco scanned his surroundings, while Pedro stood guard. Suddenly, a shot pierced through the hay behind Marco, causing Pedro to move quickly. They found three people hiding on the barn roof. Marco just flashed a smile. “Stop shooting,” Marco said, causing the shots to cease.

“You only brought two incompetent friends who can’t shoot. If I wanted, all my men could finish you off right now. So you better hold onto your bullets, as they will never get to me. Face me directly if you dare,” Marco said, making someone curse from above. “It’s too early for us to face each other. I can offer you anything right now,” Jacob said, his voice echoing from the darkened rooftop, slightly illuminated by the sunlight.

“Let me have a go at shooting one bullet at me. I want to see how skilled you are with that pistol,” Marco said, causing Pedro to immediately move and touch his boss’s shoulder. “He will never be able to shoot me. Stay calm,” Marco whispered, making Pedro look concerned. However, after a few moments of silence, there was no sound of gunfire from the barn. Marco knew that Jacob wasn’t brave enough to shoot him at that moment.

Suddenly, a creaking sound was heard from the roof as Jacob leaped and stood near Marco, glaring at him fiercely. “Come on, I came peacefully. Yet you’re giving me that killer look, even though you’re the one who caused the loss,” Marco said, making Jacob click his tongue in annoyance. “You’re too arrogant to control everything. You didn’t even involve me. What do you mean by kicking me out of the new project in Chicago? Wasn’t it my project from the beginning?” Jacob asked, making Marco smirk dismissively.

“Come on, who said it was all your project? It’s all under my supervision, so I have the right to retract it or give it to someone else. I know who I should trust to manage it, and it certainly isn’t someone like you,” Marco said, making Jacob clench his fist. Marco realized that Jacob wanted to take control of all the assets he had invested in Chicago, which marked the beginning of all his plans. It seemed Jacob’s plan had been sniffed out by Marco, so Marco decided to take over and transfer all the new projects in Chicago to another trusted individual. This was the beginning of why Jacob rebelled and tried to fight him.

“Instead of continuing to fight helplessly like this, I’d rather give you some advice. You have to live by the rules I set. You know, even though your name bears Jovanka, to me it means nothing. You only have the blood of our grandfather, but your brain and luck are far off. Maybe in the future, I will have an idea to erase the Jovanka name from useless people like you. It would be very embarrassing if others knew that there was a useless person named Jovanka like you. That seems like a good idea, doesn’t it, Pedro?” Marco said, making Jacob just nod, which then felt like an insult.

“Shut your mouth, you bastard. Don’t be too arrogant just because you’re up in the clouds now. You know, your hard work was only supported by our father. From the beginning, you just continued it. You will see how you fall down, and everything will shift into my hands,” Jacob said, making Marco smile again.

“Well then, prove it. Don’t just talk like that. Those who talk a lot sometimes have emptier minds. So, act more like I do. I still consider you my cousin, so I’m giving you advice, and I won’t teach you any lessons,” Marco said, then left Jacob with a hardening jaw. Jacob currently couldn’t do anything to directly oppose him. Jacob would think of another way to make Pedro willingly hand everything over to him and kneel before him.
