Chapter 9

Chapter 9

"abel! your phone has been buzzing since forever, who is texting you?"

"darling my hands aren't free, could you check who it is?"

"but you don't like me snooping through your phone. you said that yourself remember?"

"i didn't mean it," abel sighed. his stomach drops every time noah brings up the past but abel can't

really blame him. abel was short tempered and stupid and just so fucking sorry but he had no idea how

to apologise to noah for his actions. they just weren't acceptable.

"please check it for me?" he pleaded softly and heard a loud sigh erupt from noah's mouth before he

checked it.

"it's um, it's chris," noah said uncomfortably, fingers tightening their grip on abel 's phone when he saw

that he had been texting him on snapchat. why can't they use normal texting forums? why snapchat?

"on snapchat," he added, his tone hostile and abel just peeked his head out of the kitchen doorway.

"can you text him back saying that i'm busy?"

"i-um, okay," noah agreed, not understanding why it was important to text chris right away. was he that

important? abel could simply reply to his messages once he was free, like he did to noah, but abel Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

insisted that chris should know that he's busy.

"thank you sweetheart,"

"yeah," noah replied dismissively, biting his lip harshly to refrain himself from saying something that

he'll regret later. "why is he texting you on snapchat?" noah blurted and abel just furrowed his

eyebrows at the strange question.

"what do you mean?"

"didn't you say it was a family tradition?"

"chris is like a family member to me. he helps me so much through work and when i am not feeling

good, so i thought he deserves it. don't you think? this one time when i was–"

noah tuned him out, shutting abel 's phone and walking out of the living room to his own room, sitting

on the edge of the bed and holding his head in his hands in frustration.

he had no interest in listening to abel ramble about chris for fifteen minutes, and that was the sole

reason why he had stopped asking abel about his work.

he did not want to listen how chris made him laugh and how he cracked stupid jokes and how he was

random and quirky and abel loved his personality.

maybe chris really was family to abel.

more than noah was anyway.
