Chapter 587
Chapter 587:
Corey, who was nearby, watched them interact.
Satisfied with the repair and keen to avoid further issues, Corey moved toward them.
“Alicia, let’s go somewhere quieter to discuss your compensation.”
He gently pushed Yolanda aside as he spoke.
Catching this, Alicia gave a soft laugh.
“Miss Moss, didn’t you mention earlier that the loser has to meet one condition set by the winner? Have you forgotten?”
Yolanda, furious, shouted, “Just one condition? What could possibly be beyond the Moss family’s capability? Why this urgency?”
Alicia coolly responded, “Actually, this condition doesn’t involve the Moss family.
You can handle it by yourself.”
Yolanda gave a derisive snort.
They were at Corey’s premises, under Dorian’s vigilant management of Warrington, which meant Alicia wouldn’t risk taking any drastic actions against her, bold though she might be.
She guessed that Alicia might, at most, request some monetary compensation.
Yolanda whipped out her checkbook and thrust it towards Alicia.
“Fill it out!”
The camera zoomed in for a closer shot as a collective gasp rose from the reporters.
Yolanda’s beauty was showcased by the lighting that illuminated her face.
Yet, her beauty masked a much less appealing character.
Once, she had almost killed a dog and had modified a robot to resemble Caden’s late mother for dubious purposes.
Her actions were often vengeful, selfish, and narrow-minded.
They were fearless, bolstered by her influential father.
Alicia’s eyes caught sight of Benedict and Caden on the edge of the crowd.
Even Dorian had shown up.
Seeing them reminded Alicia to stay vigilant.
However, holding back wasn’t part of Alicia’s plan.
Facing the camera, Alicia looked directly at Yolanda and said slowly, “As you mentioned earlier, leave this company on all fours, barking as you go.”
The crowd fell silent, stunned by Alicia’s words.
Every gaze in the room was fixed on her.
“Have you lost your mind, Alicia?” Yolanda shouted, her voice sharp with fury.
“Do you even know who you’re talking to? You expect me to grovel like a dog?”
The swarm of reporters buzzed into action, cameras flashing as they captured every moment of the escalating scene.
“Turn those cameras off!” Yolanda yelled, eyes blazing.
She lunged toward one of the reporters, but Corey’s bodyguards intercepted her, blocking her path.
Seething with frustration, Yolanda slapped one of the bodyguards across the face, her hand striking hard enough to echo in the tense silence.
Alicia stood off to the side, watching the chaos unfold with calm.
