Chapter 25
Chapter
25
While Noelle was trying to free herself from Hendrix's grip, he raised his other arm and wound it around her
waist.noveldrama
Then, he tightened his hold, making Noelle stumble a few steps into his embrace. From the outside, it looked as if Noelle had thrown herself at him.
Noelle's expression darkened further.
Just then, Hendrix reached out and swiped lightly at her lips with a finger.
Noelle had just had cake, but she wouldn't have left anything on her lips. However, Hendrix's actions made her feel awkward.
Her frown deepened. Just as she was about to demand that Hendrix let her go, he spoke first, saying, "Was the cake good?"
The abrupt question took her aback. Then, just as abruptly, Hendrix leaned down and kissed her.
The sudden kiss was just as overbearing and domineering as the man himself. The taste of cake seemed to permeate between their lips and tongues.
However, Hendrix did not seem to like the taste. His kiss became even more aggressive as he clutched Noelle closer to himself.
Noelle was sure that bruises were already forming on her waist.
The intense kiss made her feel short of breath. She pressed her palms against his chest, trying to push him away, but Hendrix did not allow her to do so.
Anyone else would've thought that Hendrix was deeply and desperately in love with Noelle from the kiss, but Noelle knew better. Hendrix was just feeling upset and using her to vent his displeasure.
Even dogs were protective of their food. Hendrix was just like that. He was the only one allowed to dump her. No one was allowed to leave him.
Noelle could still remember how they'd fought the last time they'd met.
When she realized that struggling was getting her nowhere, she gave up. She lowered her arms and just stared at
him.
Just then, Hendrix bit down hard on her lip.
Pain erupted, and a drop of blood fell from the wound. Noelle couldn't help her grunt of pain. It was only then that Hendrix let go.
Covering her mouth with one hand, Noelle stepped back.
Hendrix hadn't held back when he bit her. She could feel the blood seeping out from her lip.
She frowned.
Just as she was about to tell him off, Hendrix grabbed her chin. His expression was as haughty and as disdainful as ever. "This is your last warning. Stay away from the bastard of the Quinlan family, you hear me?"
Noelle did not answer.
Hendrix did not wait for her answer. Once he finished speaking, he let go and left.
Noelle was left standing where she was. After a while, she cleaned the blood from her lips, touched up her lipstick, and went back to the party.
Hendrix was already talking to other people. In situations like this, he was always the star of the show.
Noelle did not find that strange. She did not bother approaching him, either. She just turned and headed out of the hall
Just the
then, she heard laughter coming from the side. She turned toward the sound and saw Ruth and her friends laughing at something they were holding.
Noelle was going to ignore them, but just as she turned away, she realized something was wrong.
The thing in their hands looked like her sketchbook.
