Nothing but problems
Mr. Hudson rushed into the house, his face clouded with gloom and anger. He had just received a phone call from the company, informing him of a drastic fall in the company’s stock followed by the news of his second daughter’s scandal, which had been the cause of the fall in their stock price.
As he noticed Hellen standing like an aggrieved child his anger flared up, “You!” he yelled angrily, feeling disheartened by her constant problem-causing attitude.
It wasn’t long ago that he had dealt with a minor scandal that had to do with her and now he is faced with another major one. Looking at the mother and daughter who had brought him nothing but problems since they came into his house, he couldn’t help but regret his actions from years ago.
His eyes flickered to Molly who was standing silently on the side and his heart ached. ‘How was I too blind to always pick Hellen over Molly?’ he thought to himself and turned back to Hellen, whose face had darkened after noting the gentle eyes he had used when looking at Molly.
“Did I not warn you about going into the entertainment industry?! Now can you see what you have caused? You ungrateful child! Must you always cause me problems?!” he was so angry that he blindly threw a flower vase in Hellen’s direction. Mrs Hudson pulled Hellen out of the way just in time for the vase to fly past her face.
“Why will you throw things at my daughter?!” she yelled with a red face “Are you trying to disfigure her? Don’t you know no one would marry her with a disfigured face! What if she wants to be in the entertainment industry? Huh? It is what she chooses! Didn’t your other daughter also choose to go into fashion? Did you stop her? Why must my daughter give up her own dreams?” she exclaimed angrily while hiding Hellen behind her afraid that her husband would throw another thing.
“She just made a small mistake. Why the fuse? After you clarify the whole thing she can go back to doing what she likes and the netizen will forget about it in no time and won’t your stock price increase by that time? Won’t it be a blessing for you when she becomes an international celebrity?” she demanded, desperately siding with her daughter.
Mr Hidson and the rest of the people present at the sent were stunned by her unreasonable argument. ‘How can she refer to something as high as this as a small mistake? If this was a small mistake what would be a huge mistake? Murder?’ Rex thought to himself with a regretful shake of his head. ‘I was so blinded before, I must transfer her to another manager after this!’
“You’ve doted on her too much and that is why she has become like this! Have you seen everything on the news about her? Sleeping around with men who are older than her father! Drugs! Did you see all of that?!” Mr Hudson roared, the more he thought about the effect the scandal would have on them the angrier he became.

Hellen wanted to point at Molly, shouting that she was the mastermind behind the scandal and the one who had spread the news but she knew that her father in his current state would not listen to her without proof. At this moment she wished she had not always plotted against Molly or at least she had always done it in a subtle way that nobody always found out she was scheming against her stepsister.
Just as their parents were arguing, Hellen got an anonymous message with several pictures that hadn’t been released to the public yet, with this new set of pictures, Hellen was sure she would be sent to prison if this got out. Her face paled and her body quivered as her phone fell to the ground, with crazy bulging eyes she rushed towards Molly and grabbed her by the neck.
“Haven’t you done enough! What else do you want with me?!” she screamed with tears streaming down her flushed face. Molly pretended that she wasn’t aware of what Hellen was talking about and gave her a confused frown, “What is sister talking about? What did I do to you?” she asked innocently, her pretentious face made Hellen’s rage increase.
“You bitch! Did you do it because you are jealous of me? I became a star and Dad was going to leave the company to me and then you do this to stain my image! I hate you! I hate you!” she screamed.
“I never intended to allow you into the company, not to talk of leaving it to you!” Mr Hudson yelled and he returned to the butler and Rex to separate the two.
“You think I would leave the company to you when you’ve done nothing right? I sent you to school and you entered the entertainment industry how is that in relation to business management?” he asked and Mrs Hudson’s face paled. It was a known knowledge that Mr Gibson dote on Hellen but she knew that he was very decisive when it came to the matters of the company.
Molly looked at Mrs Hudson’s pale face and then at Hellen’s angry appearance and she snorted, ‘This is just the beginning! You two took everything away from my mother and I and I will take everything back! Blood for blood!’ she thought and silently glared at the mother and daughter duo.
“Father, I don’t know what my sister is talking about! I would never do anything to slander her or frame her. Besides, I have not even left the house for two weeks because my mother has grounded me. I know it’s for my good that is why I obediently stayed at home, how will I have time to spread rumours about my sister?” she asked innocently, her bright and clear eyes looking up at her father.
Mr Hudson sighed in his heart at how much he had made his innocent daughter suffer from his mistake, he turned to the butler and instructed him, “Call Doctor Dan to have ‘Eldest Miss’ neck checked. She has to heal quickly as she will be participating in the fashion competition of their school as a model” he instructed calmly. “Yes Master”
Mrs Hudson’s face turned ugly and her hatred for Molly resurfaced. ‘You know how to solve your first daughter’s problem so quickly huh?’ She bit her tongue to stop herself from annoying him further but her heart was filled with schemes on how to deal with Molly.
Mr Hudson turned to his wife, “Take her to her room and make sure she doesn’t go out anytime soon. I have to deal with the aftermath of the problem you both caused me!” He instructed. “What did your company find?” He asked Rex once all the ladies were gone.
“We weren’t able to trace the person who posted it but we are working towards taking all the posts down” Rex replied. After thinking for a few seconds, Mr Hudson calmed. “Leave the post a little longer, I will use the opportunity to send her abroad. Have your boss send me the contract termination procedure. She has ruined my reputation enough”

Lily clapped excitedly once she had confirmed that everything needed had been packed. “A few more days and we can return to school, how long has it been since I stepped into a school?”
{You are making it seem like you are very old, Miss!}
Hearing the system’s reply, Lily chuckled and closed up the box. “I’m old enough. Anyway, we are done packing, I have nothing to do right now. I might as well learn some basic things in fashion designing” she mumbled and lay on the bed as the system provided her next mission item.
“Basic fashion designing” Lily quickly buried herself in the book. If someone came in, they would think she was sleeping, however, with her eyes closed, she could read the system book comfortably without distractions. The system set a barrier around her that cancelled the outside noise while it went to browse the internet to get familiar with the outside world and keep itself busy.
Every skill needs to be practised and so after reading the book from the first page to the last page twice, Lily decided to do some practical work and make sure she was familiar with the basics. “Are you going out?” Chloe asked as she noticed Lily coming out of her room fully dressed.
Lily sat down by the table and served herself some breakfast. “I need to buy some materials to practise for school” she replied with a mouthful of food and Chloe slapped her gently on the back. “You are a lady, stop talking with a mouthful of food!” She reprimanded and Lily whined.
“Tch, how many times do I have to tell you? Eat and swallow before you talk!” Chloe added. “Okay! Okay! I won’t do it again!” She promised with a pained smile and Chloe rolled her eyes. “Do you have enough money to buy what you need?” She asked and Lily gave a nod.
“Yes, they aren’t much so I will make do with the money with me”
“Then when do you plan to return to school? Have you decided? I have to inform your father so he can take you back” she probed worriedly. Although she had agreed to allow Lily to go back to school, she is still worried about her head injury.
“Dad is so busy these days, it won’t be good to burden him with taking me to school. I will get a cab to take me directly”. Once she was done eating, she left for the busy pedestrian market in search of cheap but quality materials to use for her practice.
She bought some sketching pads, ones that allow her to trace already made designs and others with plain sheets and then she bought several books on colour theories. She needed to get familiar with these things as soon as possible so during the purchase, she asked the seller several questions to which she was grateful that the other person took their time to reply.
Once she was done, she went to the textile part of the market and browsed through them, getting a feel of different textiles. “I told you I want this one! What do you mean someone already purchased it? It is what I want and you must sell it to me!” Lily heard a familiar voice coming from the store opposite the one she was in.
She looked out and saw Merissa standing in front of the shop with a flushed face. Causing a scene, the store attendant looked helpless, not knowing how to deal with Merissa’s unreasonable attitude. Lily looked away and continued browsing through the fabrics in the store.
She had no intention of getting involved with Merissa at the moment, but her bubbles soon busted the system and issued a task.
