The next day, Mrs. Pinnock sends one of the maids called Nearce down for breakfast.

“Stay and have breakfast!” She said to him when he arrived in the living room.

“Sit. While Jhonia showers, let me send you a little information… You were worried about a competitor well now, you have one. Last night at the party Jhonia was in a hurry to get to the third door of the left entrance of the parking lot. When she bumped into Kyhe Knight, the CEO of SKY Company, he spent the rest of the night looking for her. By then she had already left. If you don’t change whatever ways you have? You are going to lose her and to quite a competitor… In business and love.”

Mrs. Pinnock said to him as he sat there and began remembering his boldness with his sleep behind the third door of which Jhonia was heading to. His mother explains to him how sky CEO is now very interested in Jhonia, and he would be Quite the competitor, not only in business but now with his wife, whom he is neglecting. His mother had long gotten up and left him alone. As he remembers when he arrived home Jhonia was asleep on the couch inside their room.

“Is there where you plan to sleep? … Jhonia! Jhonia?” Nearce asked? Then called her until she turned around facing him with her eyes closed.

“Mr. Pinnock, I can’t be more disgusted by your presence, right now. Also, you can claim that I left the party because I was tired and didn’t even think about touching me! … One more thing, leave me alone to sleep in the silence and pace you found me in when you entered through that door.” Jhonia said to him, explained what he could say and stated. She then tells in a serious tone before turning her back to him. He went for a shower afterward he returned and lifted her to the bed!

“I will take the couch.” Nearce said before she tries to stop him or could disagree. After putting her to bed he stares at her for some time, when he tries to touch her face Jhonia opened her eyes and stared at him…

“If you dare, so help this roof that is above our head if you touch me. I do deserve better.” Jhonia said, turning her back to him. Jhonia waited for some time before she turned back to him and sat up!

“If you wish to sleep here, I will move myself back to the couch, if not then leave me so that I can sleep because obviously, you don’t want to sleep.” Jhonia said looking at him, she then explained she will go back to the couch.. Under the small bedside lamplight. She began getting up and he stopped her.

“Okay, I will leave. Jhonia, I hope we can start over. Good night.” Nearce said, getting from the bed watching her as he leaves the room slowly. Jhonia watched and waited until he was completely out of the bedroom before she lay down to sleep…

Nearce came back to his reality as Jhonia was coming down the stairs, she glances into the living and sees him looking at her. In that second she turned her head holding it straight as she went to the kitchen. Nearce got up with the thought his mother left him to reflect on, as he walked over into the kitchen and seated next to Jhonia as his mother was seated facing her from the far end of the table.

“You had quite an interesting night, Jhonia.” Nearce said, and Jhonia smiled as she put food to her mouth, she looked up at him and smiled once again.

“It was more than interesting. In fact, if I didn’t have trouble on my way to the third door which I was heading to, the entire City would have quite the interesting day today.” Jhonia said, with a confident tone in her voice she then picked her phone and slided it to Nearce on the phone a short clip from the video she has.

“The work was not done by me… I dare not take credit.” Jhonia added, Mrs. Pinnock noticed how hard Nearce suddenly was squeezing the phone as he stared at Jhonia with anger.

“What kind of trouble did you meet on the way to the third door, and what was so important about the”

“Jhonia, can we speak inside our room, upstairs?”

Nearce asked? Cutting off his mother afraid Jhonia will say what he has done and that he was sure it could kill his mother, it’s not something she could take.

“I’m eati”

Jhonia was cut off by Nearce was had stand up and grabbed her arm pulling her upstairs.

“Nearce! Nearce? Near”

“This is between us mother, stay out of it!” Nearce said, cutting his mom off as he continued to pull Jhonia up the stairs. Mrs. Pinnock gets up to take Jhonia’s phone but Crissian beats her to it.

“Ms. Jhonia, you left your phone, I will bring it to her.” Crissian said, looking at the staircase then looked at Mrs. Pinnock! They stood for a moment looking at each other.

“Since when”

“Since, I brought her the shoes and helped her practice walking in them. If you’re referring to when she allowed me to touch her stuff, or her. I will send her the phone.” Crissian said as if she was already prepared for the question Mrs. Pinnock was getting ready to ask. She leaves for the stairs holding Jhonia’s phone close to her chest! “She has grown and accepted Jhonia real fast, too fast at that, watch her closely and report back to me. Understood?” Mrs. Pinnock said to the maid she led eyes on first, and she nodded before they all glanced up at the staircase. Crissian arrived up the stairs and knocked then entered the room.

“Who gave you that information, how did you know I was there?” Nearce asked? Jhonia ignores him and steps past him to collect her phone from Crissian.

“call his mother here!” Jhonia whispered with a wink Crissian leaves after Jhonia takes her phone from her.

“It does not matter how? That was the second time you publicly humiliated me, in a building filled with people at that, you Nearce Pinnock, you had your way with her. Now a lot of people know and only I can keep their mouths closed.” Jhonia said, walking back to where he stood and turned around facing him.

“Jhonia”

“Nearce. It’s funny how I was stupid enough to start liking you but I am glad that I, Jhonia, now realize what kind of man you are. Do you know someone once told me I deserve better? I was upset with that person but now I have to apologize as they were long enough watching and seeing the things you do.” Jhonia cuts him off saying, with a smirk, she explains what she was told and how she reacted but she will have to apologize to that person. She stares at him but was actually looking for his mother, who to enter. She decided to turn away from him when he suddenly grabbed her.

“That was the lost time I decided to sleep with her, as a goodbye. Please, believe me, I have paid her off to stay quiet.” Nearce said, with regretful tears in his eyes. Jhonia sighs and relaxes herself! Suddenly she was surprised by Nearce’s lips on hers. With force, she pushed him off and slapped him in the face.

“You are not only a cheat”

Nearce covers Jhonia’s mouth, just then his mother opens the door and enters the room. Nearce removed his hand from her mouth and hugged her.

“I have one request… Stay away from Kni”

“Are you two making up?” Mrs. Pinnock asked? Cutting off Nearce, he let go of her and turned to his mother with a smile. He raised his hand holding Jhonia’s waistband.

“Whatever you want! Just don’t tell her, please!” He said, telling Jhonia he will give her whatever she wants for her silence.

“Anything but working!” He quickly added. Together they smiled at Mrs. Pinnock and she decided to leave them alone and go back downstairs. Nearce turns to Jhonia and steals another kiss from her, Jhonia pushes back and leaves the room.
