The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus)

Chapter 447

Chapter 447

Natalia’s abdomen was seized by an agonizing pain, a far cry from her usual composure; she screamed, “Ah! Oh... it hurts so much!" She had never known such pain, not even when giving birth to little Jonas.

Sweat was beading on Magnus’ forehead, and he gripped Natalia's hand, trying to bolster her spirits. "Honey, you've got to stay strong. | know you can do this!"

That's when the doctor finally noticed Magnus was still in the delivery room and immediately began to usher him out. “Mr. Andersen, you need to step outside. This is a place for women to give birth; men aren't allowed!"NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

A few nurses approached, intent on pulling Magnus from the room. Magnus yelled out impatiently, "No way, I'm staying right here with my wife!"

Natalia clung to Magnus’ hand, refusing to let go; he was her rock. Barely able to speak, she whispered, "Stay. I'm scared."

Hearing Natalia's feeble voice, Magnus' heart ached. He shook off the nurses’ hands, declaring, "I'll say it again, I'm staying with my wife, and no one has the right to kick me out!"

The doctor and nurses exchanged looks, realizing they couldn't just dismiss Magnus, so they relented and allowed him to stay.

Still, to ensure a smooth delivery, one of the nurses gently tried to calm Magnus, "Mr. Andersen, childbirth is a natural process that every woman goes through. Your wife has done this before, and there won't be any issues. So, if you both could please try to relax and cooperate with us, okay?"

Magnus nodded, his forehead drenched in sweat. He held Natalia's hand firmly, encouraging her, "Sweetheart, I'm right here with you. It's going to be okay. I'm here!"

Natalia was drenched in sweat; her hair was a tangled mess sticking to her face and neck, and her clothes were soaked through. Beneath her, a pool of blood and water had gathered.

The midwife checked on Natalia with focus. "You're at eight centimeters. It won't be long now." The pain felt like it was tearing her apart, threatening to make her pass out at any moment. Natalia’s lips were quivering weakly. Magnus squeezed Natalia's hand harder, wiping the sweat from her forehead. "Darling, our baby is coming soon."

The fluorescent lights of the delivery room flickered above Natalia as she endured the unbearable pain, and just when she thought she might lose consciousness, she heard the midwife say, "The cervix is fully dilated. We're ready to deliver."

But Natalia's agony did not subside. It intensified. She let out a low cry, then clenched her teeth to endure. Her hair was soaked through, her ears damp — whether from sweat or tears, she couldn't tell. Natalia felt as if she was clinging to life by a thread, but for the sake of the little angel soon to arrive, she held on to that last bit of strength, silently enduring, waiting for her baby's arrival.

Blood, sweat, and tears mingled, scorching her body like a raging inferno. She waited patiently for heaven's descent, through hell's trials.

Magnus was beside himself with worry. A man of vast wealth, he was helpless to do anything but watch his wife suffer through the pain.

Finally, as dawn approached, Natalia mustered all her strength, and the child was born. Natalia felt the pressure in her belly collapse, and her body emptied. The pain vanished in an instant, and her senses sharpened. She was so spent that she nearly fainted.

Then came the beautiful sound of her baby's cries — the most exquisite symphony she had ever heard. "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Andersen, you have a beautiful baby girl," the midwife announced joyously, holding the infant up

for just a moment before placing her in a bassinet. "Mrs. Andersen, you rest up now. Your baby's got a healthy set of lungs on

her.

Magnus, who had been a pillar of support for Natalia, was inwardly more nervous than she was, especially at the moment of their daughter's birth. He was so overwhelmed with emotion that he almost passed out. Now that their baby was crying, Magnus squeezed Natalia's hand with joy. "Natalia, our daughter is here, and she's perfect — our little princess!"

He had longed for this princess, and now she was here.

Natalia turned to look at her precious daughter in the doctor's arms, her heart brimming with happiness. Exhausted, she nodded weakly and closed her eyes to sleep.

The doctor wrapped the newborn carefully and handed her to Magnus, who took his little angel with the utmost care. His heart melted as he looked at her beautiful face. He vowed to give her the best of everything in life.

After a while, the doctor said, "Mr. Andersen, we need to bathe the baby and administer some vaccinations." “Of course, please take care of her," Magnus replied, handing his precious daughter back to the doctor with reluctance.

"Don't worry, Mr. Andersen. This is one of the top hospitals in Hawaii, and we have the best facilities. We'll take good care of your child," the doctor assured him, passing the baby to the midwife for cleaning.

"Now, Mr. Andersen, we need to move Mrs. Andersen to her room. Please come with us," the doctor said, wheeling Natalia's bed toward the ward.

Magnus quickly followed. He wanted to be there when Natalia opened her eyes.

Meanwhile, Gabby arrived at the hospital with a basket of fruit. After getting Natalia's room information from the front desk, she walked in.

Natalia was still unconscious, the labor having drained her.

He gently took her hand, planting a tender kiss on her palm. "All thanks goes to my wife. She's been through so much."

Gabby caught sight of Magnus' affectionate gesture, and a wave of envy washed over her, but she quickly masked it with a smile and asked, “So, where’s the little princess now?”

“The doc took her for her first bath. He also said she needs her shots after that,” Magnus explained.

“Alright then, I'll just sneak a quick peek at the princess and be on my way. Got a pile of work back at the office.” With that, Gabby turned and made her way to the door.
