Chapter 231
Chapter 231
Wyatt woke up with a heavy feeling. He could feel his head throbbing. But then, he opened up his eyes to roamed around. It’s not his room. And he could remember what had happened to him last night. Ivy wiped off his body. He has a fever and still, his fever didn’t cool down. He formed a small smile in his lips when he saw Ivy beside him.He gulped as she was peacefully sleeping in his arms. “Sleep well, baby,” he whispered down to her ear. He felt her move and then she finally awaken. He looked away, a little bit nervous that she might not remember what she did last night but then, he was startled. She immediately got up on the bed and put her palm on his forehead and on to the side of his neck. “Are you okay now?” she asked him with a knitted forehead. Wyatt shook his head. “You still have a little fever but yeah, you’re good eventually.” She told him, her voice was rasp. She get up on the bed. She look at him. “I thought you are concern about me now,” he said, disappointed. She narrowed her eyes on him. “Not because you fell asleep beside me, it means that we are okay,” she rolled her eyes. He sighed, scratching the back of his neck. “I know. I am not rushing you, though.” Ivy raised a brow. “Go back to your place,” she trailed off. “I have something important to do right now.” Wyatt heaved a deep sigh. He couldn’t do something. He gets off the bed and even if he felt a little dizzy, he stood up straightly in front of her. “Can… can I take you out for dinner?” Ivy’s eyes widened a bit. “I don’t think that I have a time for today,” she rejected. Wyatt’s face was defeated. He just nodded his head and he could understand it. That she doesn’t
have time for him. Wyatt also didn’t force her so she wouldn’t get mad at him any longer. “Alright… I’ll just wait for that time.” He muttered in defeat. “I’ll go back to my room now. Take care of yourself.” After that, he walked towards her and planted a soft small kiss on her forehead. “You take care for today, hmm.” He said, sighing. There’s a hint of disappointment in Ivy’s face but she just nodded her head as a response. She watch him go away and surely, it breaks her heart. She swallowed a lump in her throat that she wanted to chase him and tell him not to go but she couldn’t do that. She doesn’t have an important meeting nor appointment. That she lied to him. She just wanted to relax her mind. To think. She sighed. She went to the bathroom and then shower herself. She sunken herself on the shower for almost one hour. After that, she took her clothes and then she’s ready to go but she doesn’t know where she will be. She sighed again. “Was it a wrong idea that I shoo him away even if he was sick?” she questioned herself. She shook her head. “No, Ivy… let him do whatever you want. He’s chasing you after all.” She reminded herself. She closes her eyes. She doesn’t know what to do. She tried to recall what had Wyatt did to her from the past that she couldn’t even forget. It pains her. It made her realize that not all marriage is successful and that she was afraid to give in herself again. That she doesn’t want to get married again because of her past experience. She doesn’t want him to fail her. If he does the same again, she doesn’t know what to do anymore. She wouldn’t be able to stand up on her own. She doesn’t want to be mistreated again. She decided to have a walk outside. It wasn’t raining but the weather is really cold. She was shivering even if she’s wearing a gloves and a jacket.
She’s even wearing a boots so her feet won’t be cold and shiver. It’s still morning but then, the weather is like dawn already. She walk and walk that she wasn’t able to remember to eat. She stayed for a little while in the park. Not minding the other people. She’s just looking at nothing. She was sitting on the swing and tears pooled down her cheeks. She wiped it immediately then suddenly, she could feel that someone is staring at her from afar. She tried to roam around her eyes but she could see nothing. She couldn’t see someone. Few moments later, a little girl went to her and give her flowers. “Hi! You’re crying earlier, are you sad?” the little girl asked. “I thought, you have a problem so I gave you flowers…” Ivy looked at the little girl with glee on her face. “Thank you so much for the flowers, little girl…” she mumbled. “I was just reminiscing my past with my husband,” she added. The little girl sat up right in front of her. On the grass rather. She’s on the swing, staring at the beautiful girl in front. “What happened to you and your husband then?” the little girl started to have a talk with her. She sighed, heavily. She could still feel that someone is staring at her. That feeling is kind of familiar with her. Until she started to tell a story on the little girl, the stare of longing is still there, that presence of stare is familiar that she wouldn’t be able to recognize but deep inside her heart, she knew who it was. “I was mistreated...” she started. “Mistreated as a wife. I’ve done so much effort but I was useless in front of him. I just love him and I couldn’t stop loving him until now.” “A deep love, isn’t?” She nodded her head. “I admire him, I even give everything to him but in the end, I was still useless. We divorced already and now, he realize that he loves me…” she mumbled, sadly. The little girl stared at her. “If you love him, why did you not forgive him?” “It’s… it’s not easy, little girl…” she said. “Forgiving that person is so hard and it pains me. Now, that he’s chasing me, I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t know if I could give him a chance.”
“Give him a chance, Miss…” the little girl suggested. “I know, that he’s here, that he’s literally following you. To be honest…” she trailed off. “W-What?” “He was hiding. He asked me to give you that flowers…” the little girl mumbled. “He’s chasing you and I could see it in his eyes that he was hurting… that he was regretful of what he did to you.” Tears pooled down on her cheeks. She was crying right in front of a little girl. “I am hurting… I am…too.” She cried. The little girl patted her shoulder and then wiped her tears. “Both of you are hurting but you should talk. You should talk about what had happen and give it a try to give him a chance. If he was deserving or not.” She wouldn’t believe that a little girl is brave enough to tell a words of wisdom to her. Something in her head came up and she realized that no matter what problem you have, you should face it. “If he’s deserving of your chance, then it’s up to him if he would treasure it,” the little girl added. Ivy was so confused right now. She roamed around her eyes and in one of the corners of the park, she could see a body built of a man, far from where she was, moving and walking away. She could remember his broad back and that she cried again because of him. “I don’t know, I’m confused…” she told her. “In my heart, I wanted to give him a chance but my mind says, don’t.” The little girl smiled at her and even give her a hug. “Follow what your heart’s desire. If you decided to move forward even if both of you still love each other… then the pain will be there. Haunting you.” She nodded her head. She looked away. She doesn’t know what to do anymore. She wiped her tears away. She stood up from the swing and heaved a deep sigh before she glances at the little girl again. “Thank you so much with your words of wisdom,” she mumbled. “I hope it gives you a lesson and a reason to give him a chance. I know it’s hard to forgive but you should know and you should see if he was hurting or not…” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
She nodded her head. She kneel down a little so there gap will be the same. “I hope that I can forgive him… that he wouldn’t make the same mistake he did to me. That he will not mistreat me as his wife if ever…” she mumbled. The little girl ran away from her and then she sighed, heavily. “If he’s deserving on that chance… I hope he won’t do the same mistakes again…” she whispered on the air as she walked away.
