Chapter 31
Chapter 31
“Ma’am, Don’t get your knickers in a twist over Penelope, she’ll realize her mistake. Besides, if these photos ever see the light of day, who’s to say that’s Penelope in the pictures?” Margo rolled her eyes, “We’ve already pinned it all on Allison.”
Only then did Leah Flanagan–Eaden nod in satisfaction, “Exactly, who’s to say that’s Penelope in the photos? It’s obviously Allison, just like her no–good mother!”
With that thought, Leah Flanagan–Eaden let out a sigh of relief.
She stood up, “Margo, you’re a trooper. You’re my right–hand woman from the Eaden family, I won’t leave you high and dry.”
Margo bowed her head, “Thank you, ma’am.”
“Good, arrange a car to take me to the hospital.” NôvelDrama.Org content.
“Right away!”
Leah Flanagan–Eaden arrived at the hospital.
She looked at Penelope, covered in red rashes, and her blood boiled, “Look at the mess you’ve made!”
Saying that she pulled out a bunch of photos from her bag and threw them in front of Penelope.
“Mom, why are you chewing me out the second you walk in?” Penelope pouted, looking dissatisfied at the fuming Leah Flanagan–Eaden. She picked up the photos and her eyes widened in shock.
“Where did you get these photos?”
In the photos, the woman was tangled up with several men, and the atmosphere was thick with flirtation.
She remembered the place; it was a club she went to with a friend.
But who took the photos? How did they get out?
She was partying too hard to notice at the time.
“Mom, mommy… At this moment, Penelope was a bit scared.
She had just gotten engaged to Lucian, and if these photos got out, the consequences would be dire.
Leah Flanagan–Eaden looked at her, “So now you’re scared?! Look at the mess you’ve made! How could you do something so shameless as the daughter of the Flanagan family?!”
Penelope rolled her eyes, “Mom, not now, okay?”
Despite being her daughter, Leah Flanagan–Eaden only scolded her a few times and then sat by the hospital bed, “Thank g od the Lindberg family doesn’t know yet, I’ve already taken care of it for you. We just need to insist that the person in the photo is Allison, not you. If anyone asks in the future, just deny it.”
Penelope relaxed a little after hearing this, thinking that Allison was actually useful for once.
She happily threw herself into Leah Flanagan–Eaden’s arms, “Thanks, Mommy, you’re the best.”
The next morning.
In the CEO’s office of Lindberg Corporation.
Shawn handed a brown paper bag to Lucian, “Mr. Lindberg, these are the files you asked me to dig up on Allison. She’s a maid in the Flanagan family. Her mother is Grace, and her father is Joshua. She has a brother named Ricky. Both of Allison’s parents worked for the Flanagan family.”
Lucian opened the bag, and all of Allison’s life lay bare in front of him.
Allison, 20 years old, currently studying at Northfield Willowbrook College as a junior in the fashion design department.
Her mother, Grace, had severe kidney disease, and her father and brother died in a car accident when she was in junior high.
Allison had a habit of being light–fingered, often stealing from the Flanagan family, including Mrs. Flanagan’s bracelet and Penelope’s clothes. Despite being kicked out of the Flanagan family several times for her thievery, they still gave her multiple chances to turn over a new leaf.
Allison is lazy and a habitual liar. In junior high, she often hung out with the school’s bad boys. In high school, she had an abortion, her private life was a hot mess, and she was severely vain. Her mother’s hospital bills and medical expenses were all paid by the Flanagan family.
Lucian frowned as he read the files.
Although he originally suspected that Allison was using him, he never expected her to be this kind of person.
He picked up two photos that fell out of the bag. Even though you can only see half of the woman’s face in the photos, you can still
vaguely see the suggestive scene of her with two blond men.
Lastly, there was an abortion certificate, with “Allison” prominently signed at the bottom.
