Chapter 13
Steven sped up his finger going in and out between my thighs and I can’t control myself anymore.
I moaned and it seemed like he likes it. His room filled with my moans and he doesn’t mind at all. He likes what he’s hearing.
I leaned my head on his shoulder to have a support. “I’m closer,” I whispered.
After some thrusts, I came. I was panting as he took what I was carrying and led me to sit on his bed.
Before I could regain my strength, he grabbed me again with a kiss and I can’t help myself but to respond.
He easily removed my clothes but before he could start what he was planning, Lourdes knocked the door.
“F*ck,” Steven cursed.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“Sir Steven, Amanda is bleeding,” my eyes widened when Lourdes said. The baby! I was nervous for the sake of the baby.
“Steven, go. The baby. Take her to the hospital.” I pushed Steven away. He understand what was happening because he immediately went out to see Amanda.
I got dressed immediately and followed them. I saw that Steven carried Amanda out of the house.
“Lourdes, what happened?” I asked when Lourdes entered the house after helping Steven and Amanda outside.
“She went to Steven’s room earlier. When she came back, she started bleeding. What did you and Steven do?”
I felt guilty suddenly. Even though I didn’t like Amanda, I never dreamed that something bad would happen to the baby.
“You know Ria, I’m not in the place to say this. But I hope you think about what you’re doing. I know Steven. I know he doesn’t care if he hurts anyone else, so I’ll just beg you. We know Amanda has feelings for Steven and even if it is not confirmed that Steven is the father of her child, please avoid him for now. Amanda should not be stressed and Steven’s mother entrusted her to me. So if possible, you stay away from Steven until Amanda deliver the baby.”
I do not know what to say. I understand her point.
At this time, all I could do was nod and go home.
“Mommy!” My son greeted me with a smile when he saw me.
I kissed him on both cheeks then hugged him. I’m the one who feels sorry for him. His father’s situation is very messy now. I’m hesitant to introduce him to the Alvante.
They are very complicated. I know Hivo wanted to meet his father but Steven’s mother doesn’t like me at all. She wanted to have a grandchild with Amanda.
And Amanda is claiming that Steven’s the father of her baby while Steven keeps on denying it. Am I ready to bring my child in their conflict?
No. I don’t want that. I just want Hivo to be happy and currently, I’m sure he’ll not be happy to his father’s current situation.
“Hi aunt Ri,”
“Hello Oceanie,”
Oceanie kissed my cheek and followed her. She raised her eyebrow at me.
“I guess it’s a bad day?” she asked. I tried to smile and I knew she already knew that something bad had happened in my day cause after all, she’s my best friend.
“Ri, Hivo deserves everything,” we are now complete at home. They are all here because Agatha will spend the night with her daughter at my house, so they’ll gonna sleep here as well.
“Everything. Including Steven’s name,” Angie continued.
“I don’t want them to think that we’re only after wealth from Steven,” from what I saw of their mom, it’s pretty obvious that she’s thinking badly at me. And I’m afraid, Hivo will be put in danger.
“Ri. Hivo is the son of a multi-billionaire. Whatever wealth his father has is his too.” Angie added while Lia was silent next to her.
“Ri, we know that you can can raise Hivo. But we also know that you are struggling. Let’s be practical here. We know that what you earn is not enough for the both of you.”
I was silent because everything they said was true. The house we’re living now is Divine’s house and she just let us live for free. I’m making some money from my online job but I know it’s still not enough.
Especially now that my son is growing up and our household expenses are also increasing.
“If you’re afraid that Steven won’t accept Hivo, don’t worry we’ll keep him away from him and we promise that he’ll never see Hivo again.” Agatha said decisively.
“Will Steven really reject his son?” Lia said.
“If I know that Ria and him have a thing,” she added.
“He’s a good person Ri,” we all looked at Divine who was just listening earlier.
“I met him once. He’s Diego’s friend.” Diego? His ex?
“They have a charity for children in orphanages. Steven is one of the major supporters of twenty orphanages here in the country.”
“Why do you know that?” Lia asked.
“Diego once took me to the orphanage with Steven and he told me the story so I know everything,” she answered.
Yes. Steven is kind. I know that based on what he showed us.
I have no problem with that. My only concern was, he’s not ready to have children. That’s why I’m not sure if he’ll accept Hivo when I tell him everything.
“I know that. But it’s very chaotic in his house right now. Especially now that their mother believes that Amanda’s child is her grandchild. Even I, I’m not sure if the child in her womb is Steven’s child or he’s just running away from his responsibility.”
“Your life is like a movie. I don’t know who Steven’s leading lady is. Is it you or Amanda?” Angie said.
“I don’t know Ri! It’s just for me, I think you should tell Steven everything.” Agatha said. “Anyway, are you coming with me?” she asked.
“Where are you going?” Lia asked.
“At the B. H. B club. I’m going to see my husband,”
“Pass,” Divine said.
“Me too, pass,” Angie added.
“Just take Ria with you,” Lia said.
“How about my son?” I told them. I can’t go to the club.
“Duh! We take care of him. Go ahead and go with Agatha so you can relax for a while.” Divine said.
I just sighed and agreed. Maybe I need to unwind sometimes.
We went to B. H. B Club. Agatha was driving and I was silent while looking outside.
“Do you have a work tomorrow?” Agatha asked. I do not know. I remembered what Lourdes said to me. I’m guilty all of a sudden.
“I don’t know,”
“Alright. Forget about work for now.. Let’s just enjoy this night.”
We arrived safely in B. H. B Club.
Because my friend apparently has a V. I. P pass, we went straight to the top floor. The floor for wealthy people.
“Ahm-Ri, let’s find Kael first and then let’s have some fun later,” I nodded.
We walk towards Akhael’s office. I forgot to mention that Akhael who is Agatha’s husband owns this B. H. B club.
“Ugh-can I just wait for you downstairs, A?” I forgot to mention that I call A than Agatha. All of us, we call her that.
“Okay. Wait for me downstairs,” she said. I nodded.
I went to island counter. I want to be alone.
I told the bartender that I want tequila. I just wanna have fun tonight. I want to gather all my thoughts and decide for the right thing to do.
I had already taken a few shots when someone sat next to me. I didn’t bother to see who it was. But his smell is familiar to me.
Ah-I think I’m tipsy.
Maybe just a coincidence.
He is in the hospital now with Amanda.
“Another 1 please,” I said to the bartender.
“That’s enough,” said the person next to me and he sounded like Steven. It’s funny! Why do I hear him? I think, I’m crazy.
“Where’s my tequila?” I asked the bartender when I saw that he was just looking at me.
“Don’t give her anymore,” I frowned and turned to look at him.
“Hey, why are you bothering me?” I said but my jaw dropped when I saw Steven’s serious face looking at me. Why is he here?
“Why are you here?” I asked him.
“Because you’re here.”
“You shouldn’t be here. You should be there by Amanda’s side. You should be taking care of your family.” I can’t hide bittersweet of my voice. I’m too bitter to pretend I’m okay.
First of all, they were unfair on my son’s part but I shouldn’t blame them because I didn’t tell them the truth.
“Are you jealous?” he asked. Jealous? Who? Me? No… Yes!
“No. You’re just being unfair. You have a baby with her, you took care of them. How about me? How about-” I stopped when I realized what I was saying.
“I’m leaving,” I said but he stopped me.
“Are you pregnant?” What he said stopped me. What? I’m pregnant?
“What? Of course not. Will I drink alcohol if I’m pregnant? Just don’t mind what I said. I’m just… drunk.” I said and stood up. Why did Agatha take so long?
“Where are you going? You’re drunk.”
“I’m going home sir,” I said and gave him a hard look.
“C’mon. I’ll take you,” he insisted.
“No. I can do it myself,” I told him.
“Baby you’re so stubborn. Come on,” he said. Baby your face.
“I’m going to resign,” I said and I saw the shock in his eyes and he obviously didn’t like what I said.
“What?”
“I’m going to resign,” I said again. His face darkened and I know right away that he’s mad. Even though I’m tipsy, I know what I’m doing.
“No! I won’t agree,” he said and grabbed my hand out of the club.
I tried to take it back but he only tightened his grip on my hand.
“Let me go Steven,” I said.
“No! If I let you go, I will lose you forever. And correction babe, I’m not the father of Amanda’s child”
I don’t care. I just want you to accept our son when you know about him.
“Take me home,” I said to him.
“You come with me,”
“Where?” I asked wonderingly.
“To my island,” No. My son will find me.
“I can’t. I can’t go with you.”
“It’s decided babe. You’ll come with me whether you like it or not.” I immediately felt his lips on mine and it was too late for me to react because he covered my nose with a handkerchief after kissing me.
“Sleep well babe,” was the last thing I heard before everything went black.
