When Farrah hurried home, she saw Jodie sitting on the couch with tears in her eyes and a clear handprint on her face.

“Did Steven hit you, Mom?” She looked around angrily. “Where is he?”

“Why did you come back, Fay?” Jodie almost burst into tears when she saw Farrah. She felt like Farrah was doomed.

Before Farrah could say anything. Steven entered the apartment with three other men. He’d had a few drinks and couldn’t walk straight, but he sounded smug as he said, “This is my daughter, Farrah Tate. Take her away!”

She saw a balding man with a bulging belly leer at her He had a long scar on his face. She didn’t expect her nightmare to come true so soon!

“You’re not just pretty, little lady. You even have such a nice name. It sounds like ‘fairy tale!‘ I like it!” His eyes were glued to Farrahs body, and he was practically drooling. He grinned lecherously and shot his men a look.

The two burly men charged toward Farrah and caught her. Their voices were as rough as their actions.” Come with us, Ms. Tate!

“Farrah!” Jodie was scared out of her wits.

“Let me go!” Farrah struggled within their grasp, her gaze stubborn. “Release me! I have the right to marry anyone I want now–you’re breaking the law by forcing me into this!”

“Breaking the law? Gambling is illegal, too, isn’t it? The law doesn’t matter to me–only money does!” Steven said drunkenly. “You’re worth 200 thousand dollars now that you’re still young. When you get older, no one will want you even if you were to pay them. Take her away!”

Farrah was furious. “You’ll pay for this, Steven!”

“Please don’t do this, Steven!” Jodie begged instead of acting like her usual weak self. “Farrah isn’t your

ghter–you have no right to do this to her!”

She may not be my daughter, but I’ve raised her all these years. It’s time for her to repay me!” Steven shoved Jodie away, making her knock her head against the coffee table. She immediately started to bleed.

“Mom!” Farrah was beside herself with panic but couldn’t break free.

Steven grabbed Jodie’s hair and lifted her, making her cry out in pain. He warned, “You’d better not ruin this for me, you bitch!”

“Mom!” Farrah flailed. “Let her go!”

“I’ll kill her if you dare fight back, Farrah!” Steven looked at Farrah menacingly.

She met his gaze and looked at the blood on Jodie’s forehead. She forced herself to calm down and suppressed the pain in her heart, saying, “Fine. I’ll go with them!”

Farrah knew Steven had lost his mind. He was desperate now and could do anything.

“Mom, take care of yourself…” she said tearfully. As long as she was alive, she would do anything to save Jodie from this hell.

Farrah was taken away by the balding man and stuffed into a van. Knowing it was almost impossible for

her to get away, he had his lackeys release her while he sat beside her. “You smell so nice, darling.”

His heart ached when he saw her tears. “You’re so pretty, sweetheart. Don’t worry, okay? I’ll be nice to you.

He tried to pull her into his arms. She shoved him away and cried, “Let me go, you pervert! I’m already married!”

He wasn’t surprised or angered by that. Instead, he liked how wild she was. “That’s not an issue. Even if you were divorced, I’d want a pretty thing like you.

He placed a hand on her thigh, making her scream in fear. Then, he leaned close….

“Let go, pervert!” She struggled with all her might.

The more she did so, the more excited the man became. His grin became even more lecherous as he said, “You’ll be mine sooner or later, you bitch. Don’t play hard to get with me–your father’s already taken

my money.

Despair washed over Farrah, She felt like she was done for when the brakes screeched, making the van’s tires skid as it was forced to slow down. Everyone flew forward and hit their heads from the inertia.

As soon as the van stopped, the balding man barked, “What the fuck?”

The door opened to reveal a few men in suits and sunglasses standing outside. They looked grim as they gestured for everyone to get out.
