Sold To The Mafia Lord

Jetlag

Amelia looked in Alexander’s direction when she noticed that he hadn’t started the car.

“Changed your mind?? We aren’t going to the office anymore??” Amelia asked as she tried to sneak a glance at his phone to see the message.

She only saw the words, Ash as the sender but she couldn’t see the content of the message.

She looked at Alexander’s face again, Alexander remained quiet and then, he got out of the car.

Amelia also got down and looked at Alexander in confusion, she had prepared for today but it seemed that their trip wouldn’t be complete that morning with the look of things.

Alexander didn’t look in Amelia’s direction as he beckoned to one of the guards and instructed him what to do.

Soon the guard walked away to go do what Alexander had instructed him.

“What’s going on?? Can you say something??” Amelia was already displeased and feeling unpleasant with his silence.

Alexander turned to her side, he looked at her deeply, for a minute, he was struggling with what to do but he immediately shook off that thought when he remembered that they were nothing to each other, no need to explain himself.

“I have somewhere to be, I’ll have my driver drive you to the office first, we’ll meet there,” Alexander said emotionlessly with both hands in his pocket.

“Oh okay,” Amelia said lazily and she didn’t ask further, as long as she got to the office, it didn’t matter to her how she got there.

Alexander didn’t dwell on the topic again as the driver came and he instructed the driver to take Amelia to the office.

“You make sure to see her enter the office building before leaving”

Alexander said in a serious tone and the driver immediately understood and nodded.

“Madam, this way..” the driver used a hand gesture to lead Amelia to a black Range Rover car.

Alexander watched Amelia’s back as she got in the car, soon they drove off.

He narrowed his eyes a bit when he saw his phone vibrating, he answered the call with a cold expression

“What is it??” Alexander said in a business tone. As if the caller owed him billions of dollars.

“Eh-I’m at the airport, I just got down from the plane and….”

Alexander immediately shut her off with a:” I know!”

He said it coldly that Ash felt goosebumps all over her skin but she didn’t complain as she was already immune or rather, she had gotten used to his cold temperament.

But no matter how long they’ve known each other, she was still frightened by him whenever they talk, even though she was in love with him.

Alexander didn’t wait for her to continue and he directly ended the call and got into the car, heading to the capital, where the Airport was located.

Ash dropped her phone as she looked around the airport, it’s been a while she board the plane so she sat at the waiting center for Alexander.

A few minutes later, Alexander parked his car in front of the airport but he didn’t get off just then as he took out his phone and dialed Ash’s phone number

“I’m outside…”

Ash bit her lips, she had thought that alexander would be a little warm to her and come in to help her carry her luggage or at least come into the airport to meet her like other friends do.

“Oh okay” Ash replied nevertheless, it was already a good thing that he came to pick her up and she was contented with that. At least it was a progressive sign, she still had time to make him fall head over heels for her.

Alexander hung up after Ash said that and he sat in the car.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Ash looked around the airport and she sighted a man selling brooches at the side of the airport.

She dragged her luggage towards the man.

“Hey beautiful lady, do you want to buy brooches??” The man asked cheerfully as he immediately brought out all his wares and brooches of all types and colors.

“I want that black one, yes and that white too, how much are they??” Ash said as she took two brooches, Alexander always like wearing black or white so these brooches would fit his clothes. she smiled at herself as she paid for the brooches and single-handedly dragged her luggage out of the airport.

She looked around for Alexander’s car and then he spotted a call that had an X on the plate number

146DX

It was a weird type of plate number but she immediately knew that that car was Alex’s.

Alexander remained in the car and only looked up when he heard a soft tapping on the window of the car and he frowned as he looked up.

His expression only softened a bit when he saw that it was ash, he pulled his seat belt off and came down from the car

Ash tried to contain her excitement as she was aware that Alexander doesn’t like girls who were not classic, his taste of women was those that were well cultured and reserved as him so she always tried to portray that image.

“Xander you came, it was such a hectic day, I have a serious jet lag,” Ash said as she dragged her luggage to the back seat of Alexander’s car and Alexander helped her carry the bags into the seat without much expression.

Ash didn’t force him to talk as he was a man of few words, his charisma was something she was attracted to.

He was always reserved.

“Get in the car, we’re heading to the hotel you’ll be staying,” Alex said and opened the car door and went to the driver’s seat.

Ash opened the passenger’s seat by herself without asking Alex to help her with it.

She happily got in and sat quietly.

“How’s work these days??” She asked as she made herself comfortable.

“It’s being well, when are you coming over to resume work at the office??” Alexander asked instead and Ash was immediately delighted that Alexander was actually urging her to quickly start work, has he been missing her for a while now??

Ash hid her delightful smile as she answered plainly, trying not to look affected by him

“I still don’t know, I can’t tell, let me get rid of this jet lag first and adjust to the new environment,” ash said as she didn’t want to seem like a loose in front of him, she wanted him to struggle before gaining her.

She doesn’t want to be easy access to him, and with that she didn’t give him a definite time.

“Okay, it’s better that way,” alexander said without thinking too deeply about it and continued driving to the hotel that he had George book for Ash yesterday.

George and Liam were aware that Ash would be joining them in the office soon, and they were looking forward to her.
