Chapter 006 My WIfe Committed Domestic Violence
Chapter 006 My WIfe Committed Domestic Violence
Victoria clutched the steering wheel tightly. The car speed was fast and she felt tingling pain in her palms. She also didn’t care to check on it. At this time, there's only one thing in her mind-----don’t get caught.
Even though she had gone through all sorts of hardship after wandering around for a year, but this was her first time encountering such an awful situation. Thinking about it now, the Tibetan areas which were miles away were full of fascinating scenery. Who knew that something almost went completely wrong in Jincheng?
“Cough, cough” The man on her back seat was too tall and hit the glass on the opposite side when he was stuffed inside. He leaned down uncomfortably and coughed with all his might.
Victoria watched him from the rearview mirror and comforted him, “Just bear with it for a while. After we get out of Yan Mountain, I’ll take you to the doctor!”
The man on the back seat pulled down the wet sheet. If it weren’t because Victoria knew that this man was weak, while looking at his face that was covered by his hair, messy beard, his condition without clothes, he would look like a perverted murderer.
If her delusion became more serious, she might even suspect that he would use the sheet to entangle her neck.
It was hot in the car and her vision was blurred. Victoria wiped her eyes and took the blanket on the driver’s seat and threw it towards the backseat, “Put it on”
After acting as a hero, Victoria sneezed without any warning. She was drenched for the second time tonight! Because of a man that she had never known, it’s enough for her to act righteously!
At this moment, the weak man that could even hardly hum handed the blanket to Victoria with his trembling hand.
Victoria needed to pay attention to the road and also wanted to divert her attention to look at him, but from the rearview mirror, the man’s eyes were hidden under his long bangs, so she couldn’t see his expression at all.
“There’s no need to. You’re the sick one. You can use it.” Victoria smiled.
That man also didn’t decline anymore, as he put on the blanket, and leaning his upper body on the backseat. There weren’t any movements after a while, it seemed that he was asleep. He was tall and had to curl up his feet, making him looked extremely weak.
The mountain road was difficult to go along. The bad weather with strong winds and heavy rain made it more difficult to drive along. Victoria was driving attentively for two hours before safely leaving the border of Yan Mountain and arrived at the southern gate of Jincheng----Nanjin City.
Victoria breathed a sigh of relief after she saw the warning lights flashing from the night patrol police car, at least they had gotten away from those people.
After going around for a while, it was already one at midnight. Fortunately, the thunderstorm had stopped. Victoria got off the car to check that man’s condition.
That man was curled up on the backseat. He raised his head from the furry blanket and looked at her through the gap of his bangs.
Victoria brushed aside the hair off his forehead and saw a pair of calm dark eyes with no emotions. No fear or panic and there wasn’t even any slightest struggle or shyness, as if everything that happened before was expected as a matter of course.
Right, either he’s kidnapped or rescued, he didn’t care. He might not be necessarily afraid, nor might he thank her for meddling into his business.
“Uhm,” Seeing his expression, Victoria became speechless instead. She was taken aback for a moment, then straightened her body. She held the half-opened car door and said to the man who was leaning on the backseat, “Your physical condition is quite good now. Probably it was because you have good physical quality before, so you don’t need to go to the hospital. Then, where should I send you to?”
After she listened to Scarface’s tone, this man must be kidnapped by them. But if this man wasn’t supposed to be easy to deal with, then he must be someone from the underworld and must’ve threatened each other for revenge. She mustn’t get mixed up in this and had to avoid it earlier.
If he’s really innocent and was kidnapped, she also had done her best to help him. She couldn't bring an unidentified man to book another room again.
“I, I not, I” The man tried to speak but what he said was extremely unclear, as something was blocking inside his mouth.
Victoria couldn’t catch a word.
Victoria helplessly nodded, “Fine, I’ll send you to a place. There’ll be someone helping you to go home over there.”
After Victoria spoke, she didn’t wait for the man’s response and returned to the driver seat. Ten minutes later, the car stopped in the safest place----an entrance of a local police station on a street in Nanjin City.
An officer on the night shift came out to take a look and asked about the situation.
When Victoria opened the car door, that man who had seen the police station sign and officer in the police uniform, wrapped the blanket tightly, and came out of the car with great effort, even he stumbled on his feet.
“Hi!” The officer hurriedly supported him and looking at the man from head to toe. Seeing that he wore so little under the blanket and his upper body was also naked, he turned his head in surprise, and asked Victoria, “It’s midnight, how could he turn this way? What’s your relationship with him?”
A man and a woman were inside a car in the middle of the night and didn’t dress properly. Anyone that saw them would be suspicious of them.
Victoria chuckled and shook her head, “I have nothing to do with him. If you find a dollar on the road, you should hand it over to Uncle Police. Since I found an unconscious man on the roadside, the more I should hand it over to Uncle Police. As for his identity and his job, I don’t care about it.”
“If there isn’t any problem anymore, I will leave first,” Victoria spoke while looking at the man.
That man didn’t say anything. He didn’t thank her nor did he blame her. So, Victoria opened the door agilely and drove away at full speed.
“Hey, comrade! You need to register!” The police yelled at the car in a hindsight but the car had gone far away and didn’t look back.
The officer held that man’s arm and helped him to walk inside, while asking, “Comrade, what happen to you? How can you turn this way in the middle of the night? Tell us where you live. If you have encountered any difficulties, tell us.”
When the man entered the police station, another young officer in training saw him and almost laughed, but he tried his best to endure it.
After the man sat down on the chair, the young officer went to ask the older officer in a low voice, “Brother Lee, what happened to this guy? A few days ago, I met a group of people that gathered because of gambling. The loser was the worst one, he was almost stripped off completely. Brother Sun took the case and brought him back. He can’t be the same too, right?”
Officer Lee took a cup of hot water from the water dispenser and glared at the young officer, “Xiao Wan, what nonsense are you talking about? We haven’t asked about his situation, don’t speak nonsense, and behave.”
After speaking, he walked over and put the water in front of the man, “Comrade, have a drink.”
That man was a bit thirsty and finished the water completely, as if he hadn’t drunk water for several days.
Officer Lee sat across the man as he observed his hair and beard, which looked very messy and rough. As well as the scars on his face, hands, and arms, then asked seriously, “Comrade, what happened with you? We can help you if you have any difficulties.” All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Cough, cough” That man coughed. His throat was blocked so badly and his voice seemed to be broken. He reached out from the blanket and pointed at the pen and paper on the table.
Officer Lee understood and hurriedly gave it to him.
The man picked up the pen and wrote every stroke with great effort.
The trainee officer, Xiao Wan, went over and read it word by word, “One, please prepare a set of simple and wearable clothes for me.”
“Two, please give me another glass of water.”
The man didn’t answer the officer’s questions. Every requirement was something that they needed to help him with. Nothing sounded demanding, unreasonable, instead, it was completely fair and reasonable. His mind should’ve been clear compared to his physical condition.
The trainee officer, Xiao Wan, poured a cup of water for that man again, and said enthusiastically, “Aside from the police uniform, I only have a set of jerseys here. Brother Lee, should I bring it for him?”
Officer Lee nodded.
Xiao Wan isn’t tall but the size of the jersey was too big. It was a red basketball jersey with number 11 was worn by the man, looking like a street youth who committed some mistakes.
“Number 11, Yao Ming’s jersey, cool right?” Xiao Wan was proud while holding the blanket that the man used before, “This blanket is wet, should I throw it for you?”
The man turned around and snatched the blanket, as if he touched his lifeline.
Xiao Wan looked at Officer Lee in surprise, both of them watched quietly as the man folded the dark blue nap blanket into a square and placed it on his lap.
Officer Lee had years of experience in the criminal investigation. The more he looked at the man, the more he felt something was wrong. He spread the pen and paper, then asked inquiringly, “Name?”
The man didn’t answer.
Officer Lee pointed at the pen in front of him, “Write it down”
“Peter”
“Where do you live?”
The man wrote, “Jincheng”
“Oh, you’re from the capital. What are you doing in Nanjin City?”
“Traveling”
“Traveling?” Officer Lee smiled, “What happened to you that you didn’t have any clothes left?”
That man paused and continued to write down.
The trainee officer, Xiao Wan, was drinking a glass of water when he caught a glimpse of the man’s writing on the paper, and suddenly he spat out the water, splashing it all over Officer Lee’s face.
“Xiao Wan! What’s the matter with you!” Officer Lee rose instantly, wiping his face and hair with his hands, while staring angrily at Xiao Wan.
Xiao Wan was choked, coughing, and laughing. He didn’t care about his image anymore and said while pointed at the paper in front of that man, “Ahem, Brother Lee, I’m not doing it on purpose. Look at what he wrote.”
Officer Lee looked down coldly. When he saw what that man wrote on the paper, he couldn’t help but twitched his mouth. That man wrote, “First, I’m having sex with my wife in the car, so I don’t have any clothes. Second, my wife wasn’t satisfied with me, so domestic violence happened. That’s why I’m wounded.”
