Chapter 100
Chapter 100 Give Her Time to Know Me
Marlon and Gwen’s brothers had been waiting in the living room for quite a while.
They had all seen the news article and felt relieved that Gwen was safe. However, the more they thought about it, the more it didn’t sit right with them that the two had been publicly declared a couple online.
Ryan felt immense regret; he shouldn’t have been in such a rush to meet his friends. He should have sent. Gwen back to Dornwick on the same flight and not left her alone at the airport
At that moment, Andy felt like he had been rescued when he saw Sofia and William coming out to save the day.
“William, go greet Mr. Lawson Senior.”
William stepped forward and greeted politely, “Hello, Mr. Lawson Senior.”
Marlon, dressed in a deep blue suit, still looked sprightly despite his graying hair. He hummed in acknowledgement.
Henry and William exchanged glances, silently greeting each other. They were classmates and had a good relationship.
Leon scrutinized William. He had already planned to hack into William’s computer to check William’s Character.
Ryan crossed his arms with an air of hostility, feeling possessive about Gwen. No one could just come in, and steal her away without passing his test.
“Gwen is sleeping right now,” William said calmly.
“You call her Gwen too?” Ryan couldn’t help but blurt out.
“Mind your manners!” Marlon warned.
Turning to William, he spoke with authority. “The media is spreading rumors about you and Gwen. What do you think about that?”
“It has always been my wish to marry Gwen. The sooner we arrange the marriage, the better.”
Sofia became extraordinarily excited at this prospect William knew that Gwen’s flight had an accident. and Immediately dropped everything to take a helicopter to the airport to find her. Isn’t that impressive?”
Andy shared Sofia’s optimistic view of Gwen as their daughter–in–law and quickly said, “That would be the
best oL come!”
Marlon said firmly, “I don’t want to hear you two talk about this. I want to hear William say it himself.”
Their visit to the Strand residence was twofold–to confirm Gwen’s well–being and clarify the nature of William and Gwen’s relationship. It was rare for William, who had little contact with Gwen, to step forward and take action in such chaotic circumstances.
Parents cared deeply for their children and would plan for their future.
Marlon assessed William with discerning eyes and felt satisfied with what he saw. The young man had built an empire and was a rising star in the business world. He was stable and gentle, and even Henry vouched for his character.
Gwen’s previous marriage had been a mistake that he hadn’t prevented. If William had feelings for her, it wouldn’t hurt to help them along.

“This matter isn’t urgent, William said calmly.
Marlon raised an eyebrow, and his gaze was probing as he looked at William. “Are you saying Gwen, being divorced, is unworthy of you? There are plenty of suitors outside who would love to marry my
granddaughter!” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Not at all! William is not the kind of person who cares about past relationships,” Sofia quickly interjected, nudging William to speak up.
With everyone’s eyes on William, he remained composed.
It was time to express his feelings for Gwen openly.
“I’ve liked Gwen for a long time. She has just gone through a tiring marriage. Though she appears strong, she hasn’t fully emerged from the shadows of her past. In her heart, I might just be like an older brother. I hope everyone can give her some time to truly understand me.”
At these words, Marlon’s admiration for William grew even stronger.
Gwen’s three brothers had nothing to say. William’s respect for their sister was a thousand times better than the insensitivity shown by Jake.
Sofia and Andy secretly gave William a thumbs–up.
Standing outside the living room door, Gwen felt warmth blossom in her heart.
She recalled her self–pity at the airport and couldn’t help but laugh at herself.
All the people here were her closest family, and they genuinely considered her feelings. What reason did she have to cling to the past and not pursue her own happiness?
She was ready to start anew for herself and for the ones who loved her!
With a lighthearted step, she returned to her bedroom, where a maid handed her a freshly charged phone. “Ms. Lawson, you have a call.”
Gwen lay on the soft, cozy bed while peeking at the screen and waving her hand dismissively. “Reject the call and block the number.”
Meanwhile, far away in Findley, Jake heard the notification sound from his phone and realized he had been blocked yet again!
“Cedar! Call her using your phone!”
