Do you still love him?
Do you still love him?
Can't seem to forget about him.
Stephen was excited; he was going on a dinner date with Quinn later that evening. This time, they were
going without Emelda.
He had already booked a table at a five star hotel. He wanted to make the experience a happy one for
her.
"Is everything set?" He questioned his assistant who was respectfully standing in front of him.
"Yes President. Everything is set." He responded without raising his head.
"Good, you may leave." Stephen dismissed him.
After his assistant left, Stephen leaned back on his chair. He was going to take things slow with
Quinn...
It wasn't as if she had been in a relationship with Henry before. They only had a boss-maid
relationship.
Where that despicable man violated her of course. He vowed to deal with him when the time was right.
But for now, he was going to focus on winning Quinn's heart. He was going to make her forget about
Henry. He wasn't worth it anyways...
Quinn was going to be his.. He was going to make sure of it.
But... He couldn't understand why Quinn kept turning him down.
Was she afraid he wasn't good enough for her? Or was she afraid he wouldn't be a good father to Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Emelda?
But he was already doing a good job!
Wasn't she satisfied enough? Did she need him to put in more efforts?
He loved Quinn... Why was his love life so muddled?
Sad...
Anyways she accepted to go on a dinner date with him. That alone was an improvement...
He was slowly getting close to her heart.
'Hah... Henry, I'm going to make you pay for what you did to Quinn.' He vowed inwardly.
He didn't know why,but he had a strong feeling Quinn was seduced by that despicable man.
Maybe he threatened her with his position as her boss? At the thought of that, his eyes turned a shade
darker.
However... Since Quinn wanted them to pretend they were married, it meant one thing...
She didn't want Henry to be the father of her child. She wanted to have no relations with him.
Except for business partners of course...
He smiled... This meant, compared to Henry, she would rather choose him. No?
===================
It was soon night time and an excited Stephen drove to Quinn's residence. She didn't live with her
parents, deciding instead to live alone.
Obstinate...
Her parents obliged and got her a very beautiful villa all to herself. Everything about it screamed;
expensive!!
He didn't enter the villa, sitting back in the car instead.
He decided to call her and notify her of his arrival.
"Hey, Quinn... I'm already here." He subconsciously smiled.
That was the effect Quinn had on him; making him smile unnecessarily. Just the sound of her voice
alone always uplifted his mood.
She told him she was coming and hung up.
Stephen continued waiting for about ten minutes before Quinn came out.
When Stephen turned to stare at her,he was mesmerized.
Quinn was dressed simply; very simple in fact. Yet, she had a strong presence to her. Her face was so
delicate that Stephen suddenly had the urge to pinch her cheeks. She was dressed in a blue evening
party gown with her shoulders bare. She hadn't been one that loved jewelries; so she wasn't putting on
any..
She was beautiful.... The perfect woman.. Only for him.
"Evening, Stephen." Quinn gaily greeted and entered the car.
"Evening, Quinn... Permit me to compliment you milady. You are looking so beautiful." Stephen
complimented sincerely.
He wasn't flattering her. Not one bit...
She was very beautiful... And yeah, smart..
"Hahaha.. Thanks Stephen. You aren't looking bad yourself." Quinn smiled at him.
.....
Seated at the table, both of them were waiting for their orders.
"How was work today, Steph?" Quinn broke the silence between them.
"Hectic... Just like every other day." Stephen face turned red as she caught him sneaking gazes at her.
Could he help it? Hell no...
"Hahaha... Thought you were used to it?" Quinn teased with twinkling eyes.
'Her laughter is contagious, and her smile is so beautiful. Lord help me,but I really want to kiss her.'
Stephen thought to himself.
"Used to,what.." Stephen wanted to talk, when the waiter brought their orders.
"Let's eat..." Stephen smiled.
"Of course." Quinn returned his smile.
Halfway through their meal, Stephen cleared his throat for the umpteenth time.
"Is there something you wanna say? You have been clearing your throat for the past few minutes now."
Quinn arched her brow.
"Umm... Yeah, there's something I want to talk about." Stephen said scratching his head awkwardly.
"Spill it out then." Quinn placed her fork down and relaxed on her seat.
"Do you love Henry?" Stephen asked directly looking straight into her eyes to see her reaction.
"What Henry are you talking about?" Quinn's expression turned cold.
"Your ex boss. If not why do you keep denying me a chance?" Stephen decided to know his stance
with her.
Instead of pretending, wouldn't it be better if they got married instead?
How great would that be? Very great.
"Stephen, in as much as we are friends, I will appreciate it if you don't meddle with my personal life.
And to answer your question, I don't love my ex boss." Quinn said calmly. However that was only on
the surface. Her mind was a mess...
Stephen sighed in relief but deep down he knew she was lying. Her eyes said it all...
"Do you like me, Quinn? Do you feel I'm not up to your standards?" Stephen decided to ask.
Although she had rejected him before, maybe she changed her mind and was willing to accept his
proposal now?
"I thought we were only having dinner? Why the questions Steph? Please don't make things difficult for
me." Quinn replied indifferently.
Stephen lowered his gaze; she was indirectly refusing.
They continued with their dinner; this time in silence.
Quinn looked at him and sighed... She couldn't accept his proposal... She couldn't...
"Let's hurry up, it's almost late." Stephen said in an almost cracked voice.
Quinn nodded guiltily... She had dampened his mood...
But....
She couldn't seem to forget about Henry...
