Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 2961

Chapter 2961

Remy laughed.

“Of course, of course, tons of people like Sonny.

“Then, you have to reserve a space for me in the long line of people who like you.”

Sonny nodded graciously and responded, “I’ll reserve a space for you, for sure.”

This made everyone laugh.

Just as Serenity entered, Zachary called her.

The couple was just checking in on each other. Zachary knew that his beloved wife was visiting the

Stones.

Usually, Zachary would come over too when Serenity paid visits, but tonight, he was busy and told

Serenity he could not make it for dinner.

Serenity said thoughtfully, “I’ll have dinner here. Once we’re done, I’ll probably sit and chat for a while

before heading back. You go talk business and don’t drink so much. Make sure to keep warm—the

weather forecast says the temperature will drop further.”

Rain was going to fall, and so did the temperature.

When it rained during the winter, it was indeed cold.

“I won’t drink. It’s not like I’ll be outdoors either. It won’t affect me no matter how cold it gets.”

Zachary’s office was heated every day. Even when he went out for meetings, it would be at Wiltspoon

Hotel, which had excellent heating too.

“Seren, you’re constantly out and about. You’re the one who should layer up and take care to keep

warm. Sonny too—make sure he puts on enough layers.”

“I have a meeting tonight. Duncan’s going too.” This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Duncan was busy precisely because of this.

Serenity hummed in acknowledgment. “Got it. I’m not a three-year-old kid, alright? If Sonny’s feeling

cold, he’ll say so and get more layers to put on himself.”

She had put her nephew in thermal clothing.

“If Duncan’s going too, please watch out for him.”

“I’d do that even without you telling me to. You guys should go ahead and eat first then. I’ll work a little

more, and then I’ll go pick Duncan up.”

Serenity reminded him of a few more things before hanging up.

She only noticed that Sonny was sitting right beside her watching her take the call when she moved the

phone away from her ear.

When Sonny saw that she had done so, he said, “Aunt Ser, you didn’t let me talk to Uncle Zak.”

Serenity was taken aback for a moment before she ruffled his hair and said gently, “Your Uncle Zak is

very busy. He’s probably going to be back very late tonight.”

“Oh,” Sonny acknowledged.

“Food’s ready,” Audrey called out.

Serenity shoved her phone back into her pants pocket and stood up as she took Sonny’s hand.

“Do you feel cold, Sonny?”

“Nope.”

“Do you feel cold, Aunt Ser?”

Serenity smiled. “I don’t feel cold either.”

“I wonder if Mom’s feeling cold. Aunt Ser, on Friday when me and Dunc visit Mom, can you pack a few

of Mom’s thicker clothes? I’ll bring them to her, and then Mom won’t be cold anymore.

“I’m not tall enough to reach.”

The little boy revealed the reason he needed his aunt’s help.

It was because he was too short. Even if he stepped on a stool, he still was not tall enough to reach his

mother’s clothing.

“Sure.”

Serenity wanted to say that Liberty did not need extra clothing.

It was colder in Jensburg than in Wiltspoon. It even snowed there occasionally.

When they got back, they saw that the lights were turned on inside the house. Even the second-floor

rooms were lit up. Coոtent of Drąmanovеls.com

Before Serenity got out of the car, she said to Sonny, “Is someone home? Why are the lights on the

second floor turned on?”

Their rooms were on the second floor and without prior permission, the housekeeper and helpers

would not go upstairs.

That was why Serenity felt it was weird when she saw the lights on the second floor were lit.

Sonny said, “Maybe Great-Nana is back.”

Serenity smiled. “I hope so. Nana’s getting on in years but she’s like a kid who refuses to be

homebound.”
