Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 25

Eva helped Sabrina up from the ground and also picked up the scattered files on the floor.

Seeing the cut on her palm, she said, "Let me take you to get that treated first."

Sabrina nodded and went to a nearby community hospital. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

While Eva went to pay, Sabrina sat in the hospital corridor, contemplating how to repair the brooch to make it as good as new.

Just then, a shadow loomed over her. When she looked up, she saw Gerald, who was sweating profusely.

"Why are you..." Sabrina smiled. "Did Eva tell you?"

Gerald shook his head. "I called you, wanting to invite you to dinner, but she answered the call."

He squatted in front of her and gently opened her fingers. It was then that he saw a long, bleeding cut on her fair palm.

He bent down to blow gently on it.

Sabrina closed her hand. "It doesn't really hurt."

"How can it not hurt with a cut this long? Who did this to you?"

"It's not important." Sabrina didn't want to mention it, but she couldn't help but think of Pamela.

Pamela was really clever. As soon as Lilith ended the call with Nelson, her personality changed immediately. She said, "I'll give the brooch back to you."

Sabrina held out her palm, and Pamela boldly scratched it with the brooch.

Sabrina didn't understand why Pamela was so confident at that time, but she understood when Nelson arrived.

He really did have Pamela's back.

Sabrina winced in pain and instinctively pulled her hand back. At the same time, Pamela released her grip, and the brooch fell to the ground.

"Of course, it's important. I can stand up for you and make sure they won't bully you again," Gerald said earnestly.

Sabrina looked at Gerald. He treated her very well.

However, the Tuckers and the Ingrams had a good relationship. She didn't want to put both families in a difficult position because of her.

"You should go back, Gerald."

"I won't go back. If I leave now, I'll never have a chance with you."

Hearing that, Sabrina felt helpless.

Gerald squatted in front of her and continued, "Sabrina, even if you reject me, I still like you. We've met before. You caught my eye that night and entered my dreams."

He couldn't forget her. He thought about her no matter what he did and really wanted to see her again.

Eva returned with the medication. Meanwhile, the doctor began to clean Sabrina's wound. She winced in pain, and Gerald, standing nearby, was displeased. "Can't you be more gentle? She's in pain."

Then he bent down and said softly, "Sabrina, bear with it. Disinfecting hurts, but I believe you can do it."

The doctor didn't know what to say, and Sabrina felt a bit speechless as well. Gerald was treating her like a child!

After the wound was dressed, Gerald drove her home. Throughout the journey, he repeatedly reminded her to follow the doctor's instructions—no water contact, change the bandage on time— and even mentioned that he'd prepare her breakfast and dinner.

Gerald's attentive and considerate behavior, coupled with his timely comfort, touched Sabrina deeply.

As soon as Pamela entered the room, Nelson threw her to the ground.

"Who do you think you are to provoke her, huh?" His hand rested on her neck. Though he didn't apply any force, she trembled nonetheless.

She had been by his side for six years, so she knew that the more he acted like this, the more dangerous he was because he might actually break her neck the next second.

He only showed his gentle and caring side to her in front of others.

"I really didn't mean to. It was Sabrina—"

"She wants that brooch so badly. She won't just accidentally drop it. Do I look stupid to you? I told you to give the brooch to her. Tell me. How did it end up broken into pieces?"

Pamela's face paled. This was the kind of person Nelson was. He would make her confess all the dirty and disgraceful things she had done.

She didn't want to tell him, but she didn't dare to defy him.

After listening, Nelson felt disgusted for touching her. He took a wet wipe and stood aside to wipe his hands. "Address her as Mrs. Tucker or Ms. Wyatt. Choose one of these titles that you like."

Pamela understood that Sabrina and she were different.

Nelson got into the car and asked Dylan, "What is she doing?"

Dylan replied in three minutes, "Mrs. Tucker has returned to the office from the community hospital. Mr. Ingram is with her."
