Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry)

Refusing 37

"Do you think about divorcing me every day?" Harry looked at the sad jula, wondering what she was really thinking as her first words upon waking

were slut divorce.

Julia was expressionless. She didn't know how much Harry knew about what happened last night, and the couldn't possibly recount the ordeal to him. She wanted a divorce, hoping to protect the Wright family's reputation before any scandal broke. Even if the scandal came to light later, as long as she and Harry were divorced, it wouldn't have anything to do with him, and she didn't want co wing shame to the Wright family.

Although Harry hadn't been all that nice to her, Lancia had treated her decently, and the Wright family had offered a helping hand when she needed it most. She couldn't betray their kindness, andd she knew high society cared so much about rejsitations. Harry thought for a moment, and seeing Julia sanggle to speak, he suddenly asked, "Ton't you remember what happened last night!"

Julia's expression changed instantly. "What happened last night..."

Harry glanced at Julia, understanding g what she was thinking. "Are you trying to divorce ine over what happened last night? Are you worried I can't accept you alter knowing?"

Julia nodded, then shook her head. Seeing Harry's confusion, she slowly explained, "It's not that I'm worried about whether you can accept me, I just don't want to cause any trouble for the Wright family"

"What trouble could there be that I can't handle?" Harry was arrogant, but it was true that there wasn't much he couldn't deal with in Cromont City.

"I don't know if they have something on me, and if it comes out later, everyone will know I was violated last night," Julia said, losing control of her emotions.

Harry finally caught on that they were talking past each other, he thought Julia was worried about causing him trouble, but Julia was actually concerned about something entirely different

Even though Julia was crying. Harry couldn't help but laugh. "Who said you were violated last night? I got there in time to take you away"

Engulfed in her sadness, Julia took a while to process Harry's words before she eagerly grasped his hand, asking uncertainly, "Harry, what are you saying? Did you say I wasn't violated?" "You're mine, who would dare?" Harry said.

Julia didn't pay attention to Harry's statement as she was still wrapped up in the events of the night before. She vividly remembered feeling violated, and there were bite marks on her earlobe. Seeing Julia crying and laughing. Harry

ry found her thoughts truly mysterious. "I protected you. Shouldn't you be thanking me?" he asked.

Julia nodded through her tears and laughter.

Harry quickly asked, "So, are we still getting a divorce?"

Julia shook her head. "Let's talk about it some other time

At that, Harry just laughed in anger.

Realizing she hadn't been violated the night before and that Harry had rescued her without taking advantage, Julia felt grateful to him. But quickly, she remembered that it was at the bar where the trouble started. 'If Harry hadn't asked me to go to the bar, none of this would've happened. So, Harry's still the one to blame, she thought.

Looking a bit better, Julia pointed at Harry and said, "If it hadn't been for you last night, I would not have ended up in a bar, and none of this would've happened. Where were you when I was being mistreated? Flirting with Arya?" "Julia, you heartless woman. I spent the entire night searching for you, nearly turning all of Cromont City upside down" Harry said.

"Really? Julia didn't believe Harry's words. "Even if you did find and rescue me, you did it only to avoid owing me anything. If something had really happened to me, you'd have spent your entire life feeling guilty"

wouldn't have any guilt. Knowing how complex places like bars are, and how unpredictable people can be, you still dared to drink anything nded to you. You were just asking for trouble, Harry retorted.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

"I don't even like bars. How would I know what always goes on in them?" Julia always avoided bars. I certainly can't compare to you You're a

regular. But anyway, letting me leave alone was irrespetullile."

Then, Julia recalled Arya bring at the bar last night and added, "The bar is a complicated place, so you don't want Arys to go there. You didn't want her to get into trouble, so you insisted I go to the bar to pick you up. Am I getting that right?" Harry was surprised by Julia's knack for twisting unrelated things into some sort of flawless logic. -

"That must be it Julia confidently said.

I'd really love to know what goes on in your head all day," Harry said, not bothering to explain. "I took care of your time off with Cooper Group. Vou just rest up at home for the next few days until you're feeling better" Julia didn't ask Harry who had changed her clothes, after all, if it was Itarry, she wouldn't know how to face him.

Following each other out of the hotel Julia quickly got into Harry's car and, with her arms folded across her chest, asked, "Did you catch that man from last night?"

"You looking for him?" Harry inquired.

Tve never been so humiliated in my life. If I find him, he's going to wish he was dead," Julia dedared,

Harry glanced at her and said coolly, "I hope you get that chance."

Julia was muttering fiercely under her breath, and Harry, catching a glimpse of her mumbling, found it kind of funny, she didn't seem at all like the scared Julia from last night.

He remembered last night-it was the first time he'd seen Julia so scared, so fearful, and so vulnerable.

He recalled that after being injected with a sedative, Julia was still so on edge, waking up to the slightest noise and crying while resisting any touch.

In the three years he knew her, apart from the death of her mother, he had never seen Julia cry. She was always all smiles

Harry dropped Julia off at the doorstep, and as she opened the car door and was about to step out, she turned back and said very seriously to Harry. "Even though the danger 1 faced last night

was directly related to you, I'm still grateful to you for momentarily putting Arya aside to save me"

Harry kept thinking about her words, sensing that they carried a deeper meaning. It seemed like a thank you, but at the same time, it was as if she was reminding him that wherever he and Arya were, danger followed her
