Chapter 207 Louise’s apology
Chapter 207 Louise’s apology
It was Louise’s voice. “Everybody, sorry to get your attention for a second. I’m Louise Grant. I have an
important announcement. I think many people have heard the scandal about the Empire Group. Mrs.
Grant was kidnapped a few days ago, and now, I just want to make that clear. A man named Clark
White did it! He courted me in college but I refused him. A couple of days ago, I had a fight with Mrs.
Grant and told Clark about it. So, he kidnaped Mrs. Grant in order to butter me up. But I swear! He just
wanted to scare her. He didn’t do anything else. Sorry, Mrs. Grant! It’s my fault, all of it.”
When Blanca heard the earnest apology on the radio, she froze. The driver noticed she didn’t look well.
“Sorry Mrs. Grant. I am switching to another channel,” he said quickly.
Blanca nodded and didn’t speak. There was a lot going on in her heart right now. Actually, she was a Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
little surprised to hear Louise’s public apology, because when she had a big fight with Matthew the day
before, Matthew hadn’t mentioned it at all. Come to think of it, Blanca lapsed into silence,
After the apology, Louise was going through a rough time. She was in a major press conference about
Blanca’s being kidnapping, and surrounded by many journalists. Louise was asked a lot of tough
questions.
“Miss Grant, did you have a hand in this? Did Clark kidnap Mrs. Grant at the direction of you?”
“Why did you have a fight with Mrs. Grant? One story says you love Mr. Grant. Do you? Is that true?”
“Miss Grant, why don’t you answer our questions? Are you really jealous of Mrs. Grant? That’s why you
asked someone to…”
“Shut up! Just shut up!” Louise shouted. She was irked by these questions. She was so embarrassed.
“Miss Grant, why are you mad? Afraid we are right?” Reporters kept on asking. They were all invited by
Curtis and had no fear of offending Louise.
A reporter got a camera up and pointed at Louise. He was new. This love triangle would catch the most
attention on social media. He tried to use the opportunity to made a name for himself.
Louise turned red with anger. Her fists were clenched and next second, she punched the reporter’s
camera and bellowed, “Enough of this nonsense! This is slander! I should sue you! All of you!”
The reporter was not afraid. “Look, look, look! We are right! Miss Grant is threatening us!”
Louise never had such a chaos situation. Finally, all journalists had gone. Louise was exhausted and
sunk, weak-kneed, into a chair. The look in her eyes was frankly angry. Everything she did was to fawn
over Malinda. She thought they were good friends, but Malinda didn’t show up at all at this critical
moment.
Curtis walked towards her and said, “It is done, Miss Grant. You can leave now.”
Looking at Curtis, Louise felt a new wave of anger flooding through her. She picked up the water
bottles next to her and threw them at Curtis. “You son of a bitch! Are you happy to see me humiliate
myself?” she shouted.
“Miss Grant,” said Curtis quietly.
“Where is Matthew?” Louise interrupted him.
“Mr. Grant is in his office.”
Instantly, Louise was on her feet and went directly to the door. Curtis stopped her. “Miss Grant, you
can’t go to see Mr. Grant now!”
Louise stared at Curtis, her eyes blazing.
