Omega Princess

Chapter 41

I cannot believe I have been captured again. I woke up in a dark room. I was untied but there was a new cut on my hand. I tried to link Vincent but could not. I tried to push out with magic but my magic wasn't working. I called to Sasha. No response. All of a sudden, my aunt came in. I growled at her.

"Really, Fillian, you are overreacting," she said. "This is for your own good. You don't understand. Your father has waited so long to see what kind of power you would have. Now that we know, everything will be put right." "Why would you betray us? You put your own son at risk for this," I said.

"Alex will be fine," she said. "He knows nothing. He may be taken in for questioning, but he can't tell them anything. Actually, we would not have had to do this if you just had met with your father. He means you no ill will. He is part of your path." "How would I trust him? He almost killed me in the rogue attack." I said.

"He would never allow it. Had your mate not killed the witch your father was planning on it." She said, sitting in a chair across the room. "He has waited in the dark for years to see you bloom. I have kept communication between us this whole time. It is time for the past to come forward and new rulers take over."

"While I agree that the King is not my favorite person, I do not think they deserve to be overthrown."

"You should change your mind." My father, Fin Carnell, came through the door. He looked older than the last time I saw him. His light brown hair was turning grey. He pulled up a chair and sat next to his sister.

"I am sorry that it had to come to this." He motioned around the room. I noticed there were runes everywhere.

"You bound my powers and I guess there was wolfsbane in my tea as I could no longer reach Sasha." I said.

"Yes." He said, bowing his head. "I really didn't want to, but I figured your reaction to my letters was not taken well and you could easily escape or kill us if you were not bound."

"That might have happened." I said, glaring at him.

"You will not be so mad when I tell you why we are here," He said. "But first I want to introduce you to Drake, the current King of the dragons. He has a story to tell."

A large man stepped in his skin, a golden brown and dark hair. His eyes were amber like they were on fire. He was dressed in black slacks and a white shirt that he had rolled up at the sleeves.

"Fillian, I presume." He offered me his hand; I did not accept. "I am sorry to have met you under these circumstances."

"You and me both," I said. "I feel there is nothing you can say that would make me want to go to war with the royals."

"Don't be so sure," he said. "I wish we had gotten to you sooner. I see you have been mated. It is a shame we would have made a great pair."

"You are not earning points with this direction of talk," I said.

He laughed, "I guess not. Let me begin then."

"You were at the Wolf Palace. Did you meet the whole family?"

"Yes." I responded.

"Even Cash?" he said.

"Yes. Cash is a wonderful boy." Intrigued by his focus on Cash.

"But he isn't in the book of royals." Drake said, a matter of fact. "He won't be unless he marries into it. You see, Fillian, Cash is a special boy. He is part wolf and part dragon. He is my sister's son."

I could see the pain flash before his eyes as he continued. "Like you, Cash was created to rule all life. You are witch and wolf, he is dragon and wolf. The king feared what power might come from Fin's experiments. He kidnapped my sister and created Cash. Once he had his son, he killed Emily."

"I am sorry for your loss. I can not believe the king would do that to Carmella. His mate, she must have endured a lot of pain." I said.

"Carmella is not his true mate. He chose wrong." My father said. "This already limited his power. I thought if I could just get a child with royal powers, we could overthrow the king. We could become royals. All I needed was a child with powers. I met your mother and she agreed. Katie's mother agreed as well to have my child with weekly transfusions." "All this pain for power?" I said.

"Fillian, you are still a child you do not understand. As a royal, you would be safe. You would be able to make the rules. You could break free and live with humans without becoming a rogue and so much more." "That all goes back to power." I said back to my father.

"You are right, but he doesn't deserve it. He stole Carmella." My dad said.

"She was your mate." I said. "I know as a royal, if we choose we can steal a mate if mated before they meet or after I guess. Why did she go?"

"She didn't willingly. Do you know the king's power?" my Aunt asked, looking at me.

"No." I actually only knew Cole's power.

"He can shape shift." He came to her like me and mated her. She woke up mated to the next king of wolves.

"That is terrible, but it is in the past. Why overthrow him now. It won't change anything. It won't bring your sister back nor give you the queen." I said. "It is not about power but revenge for both of you." "Yes" Drake said. "I want revenge and my nephew."

"Why haven't you started war before?" I asked Drake.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"The dragon packs are small. We don't even add up to the Violet Moon pack you now lead. I would be sacrificing everyone, and we would lose." Drake said. "With you we can win."

"Yes, not only win but take the kingdom." My father added. "You are the most powerful wolf to be born."

"I don't want war," I said.

"It is inevitable." My father said. "You will need to pick sides and follow your rightful path. You were created for this, my daughter."

"I think we should give her sometime to think about it." Drake said, making a motion for the door.

"Before you leave, no more wolfsbane. I need to talk with Sasha." I demanded. I also didn't know how it would hurt the pup.

My father hesitated. Drake leaned over to whisper to him and spoke. "No more wolfsbane but we need to keep you bound."

"Understood," I said. Everyone left. What was I going to do? I really need Sasha and Vincent. I put my hand over my belly, thinking of my pup. How do I keep us safe?

I just needed for the wolfbane to wear off. I needed food and a good night's sleep. An omega dropped off food. I ate what was given and drank the tea. This time no wolfbane. Maybe I can trust Drake? Then again, if someone killed my sister, I would want blood. Moon Goddess, Selene, how many more paths must I travel? I reached out to her before falling fast asleep.
