Lenora and Zachary Chapter 508

Chapter 508 Something Is Missing

She knew Lenora's next engagement was the day after tomorrow, giving her two free days.

Milly was filled with countless questions, but she responded politely: I'm sorry, but Ms. Wilkin does not accept requests for wedding photoshoots. Sophia: Could you please let her know? I really like her style! Please, I beg you!

Milly: All right, I'll let Ms. Wilkin know. But she's only available tomorrow and the day after. Her schedule is packed for the following week.

Sophia: A week later is too late. Tomorrow or the day after is fine!

A few minutes later, Milly replied: I'm sorry, but Ms. Wilkin has declined. She's been unwell recently and needs to rest more.

In reality, Lenora found wedding photo shoots quite exhausting and the pay was not particularly great. She had subtly expressed her feelings to Milly.

Sophia also knew that Lenora was pregnant and should not be overworked. She responded: We have two days! Plus, I love Ms. Wilkin's photography style. I won't be picky. We can definitely finish quickly! Also, I can pay double the quoted price! Please, I really love Ms. Wilkin's work!

A few minutes later, Milly replied: Ms. Wilkin has agreed. Please come to the studio to sign the contract and discuss the details tomorrow morning at eight. If there are no issues, we'll proceed directly to the shoot. However, you'll need to bring your own costumes. Sophia: All right, this is just fantastic!

Noticing Sophia grinning like a cat that got the cream, Zephyr asked, "What's up? You seem pretty pleased."

"Nora has agreed to do our photoshoot. We should head straight to the studio tomorrow morning."

"Okay." Zephyr nodded nonchalantly, then pointed to a box containing a four-piece set. "What do you think of this color?"

"Looks good." Sophia picked out a few four-piece sets, then turned to Zephyr. "Let's see if there are any bridal shops nearby. We need to rent a few outfits for tomorrow's photoshoot."

"Why are you in such a rush? Don't you want to take your time to choose properly?"

"It's not like it's a real-" Sophia cleared her throat and glanced at the saleswoman next to her. "They're just pictures. We'll take our time to choose the actual wedding dress for the ceremony." "All right then."

The two of them spontaneously visited a renowned bridal shop to look at wedding dresses.

The storefront was beautifully decorated, exuding opulence and grandeur. Each pristine wedding dress, showcased on mannequins in the street-facing window, was a masterpiece of delicate elegance. Their splendor captured the attention of numerous passersby. The saleswoman greeted the two warmly. After understanding their purpose and noticing their affluence, she still asked as part of her routine, "May I know your budget approximately, Ms. Tortell? We have different tiers for wedding dress rentals here." "Don't worry about the budget, but looking at these wedding dresses..."

Zephyr scanned the room and hesitated.

The saleswoman understood his request and, with a smile, guided them toward the second floor. "Please follow me."

The second floor was significantly more spacious, showcasing an array of exquisite wedding dresses. Some were adorned with intricate beadwork, others with delicate embroidery. There were gowns that exuded opulence and grandeur, some that were simple yet elegant, and others that were romantically charming. Despite the varied styles, they all shared a common trait: fine craftsmanship, impeccable care, and spotless cleanliness. Even though they had been rented out multiple times, not a single flaw could be found. "These are our finest wedding dresses, crafted by renowned designers. Ms. Tortell, notice the embroidery-it's all hand-stitched. The diamonds used are of the highest grade and are manually set, giving it a unique sparkle. If you find a style you like, please feel free to try it on."

"Okay." Sophia nodded, circling around all the wedding dresses. She chose a heavily embellished strapless gown with a bodice intricately embroidered with delicate lace. The waist and hem were adorned with diamonds, making it a dazzling display of opulence. The saleswoman removed the wedding dress from the mannequin and took it to the fitting room.

Sophia undressed and removed her shoes, then stepped onto the raised platform. She gazed into the mirror in front of her, allowing the saleswoman to lift the wedding dress and secure the lacing at the back.

The saleswoman complimented, "Ms. Tortell, you have such great taste! This wedding dress suits you perfectly!"

The wedding dress was a form-fitting mermaid style that perfectly accentuated her figure. The asymmetrical tail revealed the lower half of her right leg, showcasing her fair skin and smooth lines. Sophia couldn't help but steal a few more glances at herself in the mirror.

She loved this wedding dress.

"I'll draw back the curtains for your fiancé to take a peek."noveldrama

"All right."

The saleswoman drew back the curtains and spotted Zephyr sitting not far away on a couch. "Sir, Ms. Tortell has finished changing. Come take a look. She's absolutely stunning."

As the curtains were drawn back, Zephyr stood up and walked over. His eyes immediately settled on Sophia, and he swallowed hard, his Adam's apple visibly moving.

The sight of her in a wedding dress had often graced his dreams.

Now, seeing it in reality, he felt an overwhelming sense of surrealism.

After completing a full turn, Sophia lightly pressed her lips together and suddenly felt a bit shy. "How do I look?"

Given his intense gaze, I must look gorgeous, right?

Regaining his composure, Zephyr remarked, "It seems like something's missing..."

His eyes roved over her from head to toe before he turned to the saleswoman and asked, "Do you have any high heels?" "Just a moment."

The saleswoman asked Sophia for

her shoe size and fetched a pair of matching high heels. Just as she was about to hand them over, Zephyr took them from her hands. "Give them to me."

He took the high heels, walked to the edge of the stage, and knelt on one knee.

Realizing what he was about to do, Sophia immediately said, "I can do it myself."

As if he hadn't heard her, he grasped her ankle, the other holding the high heels. "Lift it up a bit."

An inexplicable warmth spread

through her ankle as he held it in his large hand. Sophia instinctively tried

to lift her foot away but found herself unable to

advantage of the moment, he had already slipped the high heel onto her foot.

Sophia bit her lip, reluctantly lifting her other foot as he reached for the second shoe.

After slipping the high heels onto her feet, he stepped back, observing her from a distance. His gaze was intense, his eyes deep and filled with a fiery passion. "Much better now." If only we could officially get married tomorrow.

After renting the wedding dress, they had dinner and then went to pick out some kitchenware.

When they left the supermarket, it was already past nine.

Sophia said, "You should take these to the mansion. Let's leave the wedding dress in the car for now and bring it to the studio tomorrow morning."

She was somewhat weary, and after speaking, she closed her eyes to get some sleep.

Zephyr didn't respond.

After a while, he said, "We're here."

"Okay."

Rubbing her eyes open, Sophia groggily unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car.

Upon taking in her surroundings, she instantly snapped back to reality. "Why did you bring me here?"

The car was parked in the courtyard of the mansion.

Zephyr stepped out of the car and opened the trunk. "Let's bring the stuff in first, then I'll take you back."

"Oh, okay."

Sophia found it a bit odd, but she didn't dwell on it.

They moved everything into the mansion, placing it directly on the sleek living room floor. Sophia suggested, "Let's just leave it here for now. We can tidy up later." "Okay."

"Shall we head back then?"

Sophia turned and walked away.

"Sophia."

"What's wrong?"

Sophia halted in her tracks, her face etched with surprise. "Zephyr, you're... you're acting so strange tonight..."

With a gentle smile gracing his features, Zephyr strode forward and asked, "Sophia, do you still remember what you promised this morning?"

What did I promise this morning?

Sophia paused as a memory flashed

through her mind. She glared at

Zephyr, irritation evident in her voice.

"Zephyr, do you have some kind of

peculiar preference? The kind that

involves exposing yourself in front of others..."
