Chapter 147
Almost everyone's attention was on the two figures bathed in the spotlight. Justin held a microphone and confessed his feelings with deep sincerity. Xenia acted shy, though she clearly relished the attention and cheers from the crowd.
Noelle watched the scene with a hint of mockery in her eyes. So, without the added twist of her being humiliated in her past life, Justin was still confessing to Xenia? Xenia became a micro-influencer, and her pure image helped her attract decent attention.
When Cedric saw Justin, he glanced at Alfred, his eyes silently warning him.
Alfred swallowed nervously. "I didn't expect this kid to be here."
Last time, after Justin publicly confessed to Noelle, Alfred had called Justin's dad late at night, urging him to rein in his son and prevent any more reckless confessions.
That was why Justin had disappeared after the exam and flown back to Yasnia to lay low. Who would have guessed he'd come back now? And, of course, where there was Justin, there was trouble. Noelle turned her head. "It's fine. With these masks on, no one knows who's who. Let's just enjoy ourselves."
"Nelly, I love your carefree attitude. Let's head to the booths. Those are probably livelier than the private rooms."
After all, with Noelle here, they couldn't just go to a private room and party with a bunch of girls, right? The booths were a more realistic option for experiencing the atmosphere.
After Noelle sat down, a waiter quickly came over to take their order. Alfred promptly placed his order. "Nelly, what do you want to drink?"
"Cocktail, the pretty kind."
Cedric thought back to when Noelle had gotten drunk before. He shot a look at the waiter and said, "Give her a glass of soda water."
"I don't want soda water! What's the point of coming to a bar if I'm not drinking?" Noelle complained.
Cedric let out a weary sigh. The image of her getting drunk at the barbecue spot popped into his mind.
He stared at her. "Did you forget about that time you got drunk at the barbecue? Don't you know your own alcohol tolerance?"
Noelle recalled that incident and felt a bit guilty. "Okay, I admit I'm not great with alcohol, but I didn't do anything crazy, right?"
Alfred looked at Cedric with curiosity. "Nelly's such a good girl; she wouldn't cause a scene when she's drunk, right?"
Faced with their questions, Cedric felt a bit uneasy and turned his gaze away. "When you're drunk, there's not much you can enjoy."
His throat tightened slightly. He thought he had long since forgotten that night, but the memory resurfaced, and he couldn't shake his emotions. Alfred nodded. "How about we order a low-alcohol cocktail?"
"Okay." Noelle agreed, thinking Cedric had a point. If she got drunk, she wouldn't remember what happened afterward.
Before long, Alfred started chatting with some girls at a nearby booth and joined them. That left Noelle and Cedric alone in their booth.
Feeling a little awkward, she took a sip of the cocktail that had been brought to her. To her surprise, it tasted pretty good.
Cedric's gaze fell on her face, his

annoyance.
"Don't drink alcohol carelessly when you go out in the future."
Noelle finished her cocktail and felt a bit tipsy. She stood up quickly. "I'm going to have some fun."
She was in a good mood and
wanted to experience a sense of freedom and indulgence. As soon as Cedrie saw Noelle heading toward the center of the dance floor he immediately followed her.
He thought about pulling her out, but she slithered away like a snake, and in the blink of an eye, she was

Noelle danced freely, instantly capturing the attention of many people. Soon enough, she became the focal point of the crowd.
What do you think?
