With tears welling up, Zephyra cried out, "Audrey, where's your conscience? If he wasn't heartbroken, would Dominic have gone to the bar to drink and then get into an accident? He loved you so much. How could you say such hurtful things?"

Zephyra was even more enraged. "It's a good thing I had the foresight back then not to let you marry into the Hayes family, or you'd be bossing me around right now."

Upon hearing this, Audrey finally gave her a look. "Did you deliberately show up late to the wedding that day?"

Zephyra crossed her arms smugly. "And so what if I did? You never had the right to marry into my family!"

In fact, she initially just wanted to intimidate Audrey and make her yield.

Although Audrey had always suspected it, hearing Zephyra admit it out loud was still amusingly ridiculous.

Even though she thought about it, Audrey eventually decided not to do it.

Seeing her intimidation was effective, Audrey added, "Mrs. Hayes, you are a clever woman. You should understand what I mean."

With that, Audrey turned and left without looking back.

Facing Audrey's piercingly cold gaze, Zephyra felt a shiver of fear run through her, and she dared not continue the argument.

Yet, she was unwilling to give in.

After calming down, Zephyra came up with a plan.
