Maxine didn't know why, but it felt like she had developed a sense of attachment to this bracelet. She couldn't bear to give it away, nor did she want to.

From her experience buying jewelry over the years, she didn't think there was anything wrong with it. Besides, the friend who gave her the bracelet had known her for many years, just as long as she had known Emerson.

"There's nothing wrong with the quality." Skylar shook her head.

Maxine looked slightly disoriented and confused. "Then what's the problem?"

Just as Skylar was about to answer, there was a knock on the door. "Ms. Craig, the director has called for everyone to head over," a voice from outside said.
