Chapter 788 Well Prepared
Faye's attitude was firm.
When Martha heard Faye's words, her heart skipped a beat.
After a minute or so, Martha said bitterly, "I see."
"If there's nothing else, I will leave first. You can let Lance help you do the rest."
After speaking, Faye gave Lance a wink and stepped outside the door.
Lance knew what she meant and followed her out.
In the corridor, Lance asked Faye in a low voice, "Wasn't she sent to another city? Why did she come
back suddenly?"
Faye told the truth. "She has cancer and wants to see Colin."
Lance was stunned and then sneered, "She's imposing her morality on him, isn't she?"
Faye didn't want to say bad things about Martha, so she was silent for a while. Then she said, "It is said
that she can only live for half a year. In the next six months, come to the hospital to visit her more often
if you are free."
Lance joked, "Okay, I'll do the filial duty on behalf of Colin."
Faye glanced at him and corrected, "It's not the filial duty, but just the ordinary duty."
Lance was stunned. Then he knew what Faye meant and nodded in agreement.
Seeing that Faye didn't speak, Lance scratched his head and cleared his throat. He asked, "Faye, well.
Andy... Is Andy fine?"
"He's pretty good."
"That's good."
Faye raised her eyebrows and said, "I haven't asked you yet. What happened between you two?"
Lance danced around the issue and said, "Well, it's getting late. I'll take Ms. Ronney for a physical
examination first. After all, there are a lot of items. If we get there too late, I'm afraid we won't get the
results today..."
As he said, regardless of whether Faye would say anything else, he turned and went straight to the
ward.
Seeing his fleeing figure, Faye couldn't help smiling.
After coming out of the hospital, Faye drove back to the Fennth Community.
On the way, she got a call from Rebecca.
Rebecca wondered why Faye invited her and Abbot to Faye's honeymoon and then said that she was
too busy to go.
Faye couldn't help laughing and asked Rebecca if she wanted to go with her.
Rebecca replied, "No one can stop me from getting rich. After all, love and career are in two ways!"
She spoke a lot and finally asked, "When are you two going on your honeymoon?"
Faye replied, "It should be in the last few days."
"I really don't have time these last few days. I'm not kidding."
Listening to Rebecca's serious tone, Faye smiled and said, "Don't worry, if you don't want to go, we will
definitely not force you."
Faye thought, "It's okay as long as you can put up with Abbot's constant pestering."
In the end, Rebecca urged Faye to have a baby during the honeymoon and said that it would be better
if she could be a godmother next month.
Faye replied with a smile, "It is better to rely on oneself than on others, and it is better to be a mother
than a godmother."
Rebecca pretended not to understand Faye's hint and pretended to be very busy before hanging up the
phone.
With a bright smile, Faye focused on driving.
More than an hour later, she arrived at the Fennth Community.
As soon as she stopped the car, she saw Colin sitting on the edge of the flower bed smoking.
It wasn't until Faye walked to Colin that he came to his senses. He looked up at Faye and said, "Honey,
thank you for what you did today."
Faye knew what Colin was referring to. She squatted still and said in a soft voice, "Let's go on our
honeymoon. We'll leave tomorrow."
Hearing this, Colin obviously had some complicated emotions.
After a while, he said in a low voice, "Okay."
They acted quickly.
They booked their plane tickets for the next morning at 8 o'clock and packed up overnight.
Early the next morning, the two hurriedly had breakfast and Andy drove them to the airport.
On the way, Colin called Robert, telling him to keep an eye on the company and contact him at any
time if there was something wrong.
However, Robert was going to participate in a variety show named See You Again After Our Breakup in
two days.
Therefore, Colin asked Robert to hand over the company's affairs to others and then hung up the
phone.
Faye took out her mobile phone to set the alarm because she was going to watch the variety show on
time. She had worked in crisis public relations for so many years, and now she just wanted to be an
ordinary fan.
At this time, they arrived at the airport. Andy got out of the car to carry their suitcases and then sent
them into the VIP lounge to have a rest.
Faye and Colin sat in the lounge for a while, and a familiar voice sounded in their ears.
"Colin, what a coincidence!"
Colin raised his eyebrows and turned to look in the direction that the voice sounded.
Abbot was dressed in a floral shirt and floral shorts, with a pair of sunglasses, carrying a suitcase. He
looked like a peacock in his pride, very eye-catching.
Seeing Abbot, Colin squinted instantly.
Abbot took a few steps forward, put his arm around Colin's neck, and said, "What a coincidence! Are
you going on your honeymoon with Faye?"
Colin watched Abbot leaning against the back of the seat and asked rhetorically with an extremely
indifferent look, "Where is Rebecca?"
Abbot said frankly, "She went to the toilet."
Colin snorted, "You're here well prepared, aren't you?"
Abbot grinned and didn't dare to tell the truth in front of Faye. He lowered his head and whispered to
Colin in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "Just better safe than sorry. Do you know what
Ethan has been doing these days?"
Colin said casually, "I don't know."
With great interest, Abbot told Colin that Ethan accompanied Violet on a blind date.
"The older, the wiser. Ms. Rowan's father had long expected that Ethan would not give up, so he
directly arranged many blind dates for Ms. Rowan. The men are all outstanding. Even if she just meets
one person a day, she has to finish her blind dates for more than half a month. Ethan has to swallow
his grievance. After all, he doesn't dare to offend his future father-in-law, so he has to accompany Ms.
Rowan on blind dates every day..."
Abbot was very humorous, and with his vivid description, he succeeded in amusing Colin and making
his hostility disappear.
Colin teased, "Really?"
Abbot asked, "Why would I lie to you?"
To show the authenticity of his words, Abbot raised his jaw at Colin and said, "If you don't believe me,
call Ethan now and ask him what he is doing."
Colin smiled, took out his mobile phone from his pocket, and dialed Ethan's phone number, under
Abbot's gaze.
After the call was connected, Colin knew that Abbot was not lying when he heard Ethan's cold voice.
Colin asked Ethan to help him take care of the company and said that Robert had no time because he
would participate in a variety show with Aniston.
Ethan laughed and scolded. When the two were chatting playfully, Violet opened the back car door and
sat in.
Hanging up the phone, Ethan asked Violet to sit in the passenger seat.
Violet silently clutched the hem of the skirt and said, "It's fine I'm sitting in the back." Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Seeing Violet was so nervous, Ethan smiled angrily and asked, "Where's your courage when you called
Old Mr. Carter? Why are you scared now?"
Violet was silent. After about half a minute, she said, "Let's go. It's getting late. My dad said that the
man who is going to have a blind date with me is elegant and gentle and he told me not to be late."
Ethan looked at Violet in the interior mirror and asked with a smile, "You're not afraid of me at all now,
are you?"
Violet looked up at Ethan. Her palms were wet with sweat, but she said with a calm expression, "Old
Mr. Carter said to keep you away from me."
