Chapter 9 - AZTEC
They walked back to the ballroom where the merciless death was done by the monster hours ago. But now everything was clean and gleaming like nothing ever happened there.
Though Allison could feel the gloomy aura among the people of her pack because of their future Alpha's death. But nobody dared to voice out their thoughts in the presence of the Lycan king.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
Allison spotted Him talking to some high authority people with his mighty self at the farthest corner. He was listening so casually like nothing gruesome had happened there and He never blackmailed her into his wishes.
Her fear and hate for him doubled when she realised that He had caused her misery in many ways. Now He was claiming her His. But why? What did she do to him? Why out of all the beautiful girls presented there He chose her? She was just a normal human being who couldn't even protect herself.
Just then she watched Scarlett walking gracefully to Lyceon asking for the dance. Allison gasped slightly thinking about her move. Surely she was the most beautiful and seductive girl in her college but approaching the Lycan king with this confidence, wasn't that too daring for her. But again, she was a typical bimbo who never left any chance to mingle with the gorgeous men. And Lyceon was one exquisite, freaking handsome, powerful and dangerous man on the earth. Why is she getting involved with him? Doesn't she fear him?
Allison thought to ignore them and followed Nora who was talking to one of their classmates. The music was on and people regardless of the event happened before were dancing to the tunes slowly. Perhaps they were pretending everything not to rile up the Lycan king and suppressing their hostility behind their masks. After all they needed his mercy if they wanted to survive their pack.
Allison looked at her Alpha and Luna who were standing and talking with the guests with straight faces. Being a healer she could sense the other feelings well. She could feel the despair in their hearts for losing their son. She has been feeling it since she heard the news of her father dying.
But ain't they say karma doesn't spare anyone. It pays well.
Is it the fruits of wrongdoing of her alpha which his son bore?
She felt the intense stare on her body so she looked in the direction of Him. Lyceon was staring at her with an unmistakable obsession and his black eyes were holding such a passion which made Allison's stomach clenched not in disgust but something strange and raw.
Does He fancy her?
She didn't want to glimpse those wild orbs of his again so she averted her eyes. But His sole attention was on her which turned her body hot unknowingly. It irked Scarlett, Allison could see her throwing sharp daggers at her way with her gaze. She shook her head slightly but jumped on her spot when a deep voice hit her ear from behind.
"Greetings, Queen!"
First thing she noticed was a big hand sticking out in her direction. She looked up to see a man in his late twenties staring at her with a mischievous smirk. He was wearing a black tuxedo with brown hair on his head swept aside perfectly. He was just as muscular as Lyceon but not tall enough like Him. He smiled, his blue eyes twinkled, feeling her surfacing anxiety.
"Calm down, my Queen. Aztec would never hurt you." He said in his smooth British accent. Allison stared at him before turning to him fully.
"Can I have the pleasure to dance with my Queen?" He asked while gesturing towards his hand. Allison gulped before glancing at the Lyceon whose attention was now on Alpha.
"You want to die?" She couldn't help but chide him unknowingly, recalling Sebastian's death. This man was daring to ask her when the Dark Lycan king himself put his claim to her in front of everyone. Nobody dared to come close to her with any intention but him.
Aztec cocked his brow in surprise before throwing his head back and laughed.
"My my, you sure are as innocent as you look, my lady. Alright! here we go.!" He chuckled and introduced himself properly.
"Aztec blackbeard, beta of The dark walkers kingdom." Allison choked on her spite. Beta?
"Now can I get the honour, it's not generous to put a man on wait, Queen?" Allison was disturbed by him addressing her Queen but she was doubled worried now. These men were putting her on the edge of insanity. "Don't call me Queen." She muttered but He heard it anyway.
She watched Lyceon and Scarlett walking to the dance floor hand in hand. No, she didn't feel anything. In fact she imagined only if Scarlett could be in her place. She would be more than happy to be his mistress. Before Allison could answer Aztec, he pulled her into the dance floor by grabbing her hand and rolled her gracefully with his steps.
"Relax. King won't do anything and for your kind information, He surely won't kill his Beta." There was amusement in his tone which Irked Allison. They were just playing her like a puppet.
"By the way, I smelled your scent, you are human. Have you heard about our kingdom, Allison?" Now they were on talking terms.
"I haven't. But I know enough about supernatural lives and their origins. I'm a healer and my experience lies in my powers." She felt the need to showcase her trait as she felt attacked when he called her human. Aztec hummed.

"Interesting." He nodded. But a smile played on his lips.
"I wondered how moon goddess play with our lives. One is a killer and another is a healer." He murmured but Allison got his words. Does he mean by her and the Lycan King?
Allison was stunned, this thought never crossed her mind. She looked at Aztec blankly.
If Lyceon was her mate.
No. Or maybe.
She can't feel her mate surely as she was human but He was the powerful lycan king who unmistakably can sniff and identify her scent even from afar if she was his mate. But He didn't claim her like Mates does! Is it true or not!
She was perplexed. Whom to ask? If she was to be his mate then she was literally doomed.
Here she was planning her journey and thinking of ways to get rid of Him in some way but now another bomb has dropped on her mind, turning the line of her strategy.
