Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 15

When the clock struck eleven thirty, everyone left the office one by one and went to the cafeteria.

As soon as Nancy sat down, Stephen suddenly appeared, standing right in front of her, holding a portion of rice in his hand.

“Can I sit here? Do you mind?” Stephen happily spoke up.

“No disturb.”

Even though she said that, she felt extremely uncomfortable because countless eyes were focused on them.

Usually, big bosses never come to the employee cafeteria, but suddenly today Stephen came so everyone was surprised.

Nancy tried to eat as quickly as possible. She had a cold, was tired, and didn’t want to eat rice, but right now she looked like she could eat the whole world.

When Stephen saw her eating quickly, he looked bewildered.

“You should eat slowly, it’s not like you don’t chew, right?” He asked with wide eyes.

“I’m done eating, I’ll leave now.”

Nancy put the last spoonful of rice into her mouth and quickly stood up while Stephen’s rice was still intact.

He smiled to himself and then chewed and chewed to finish. Lately, he and Dylan are both busy with projects early next year so they don’t have time for themselves anymore.

Today he arranged some time to come see her, but she avoided him.

At noon, all the editorial staff were out of the office, leaving only Nancy alone.

She took a small mat and spread it on the floor to take a nap. Because she still hasn’t recovered from her cold, she doesn’t feel very well.

“Nancy.”

The sudden call made her startled and almost jumped. When she turned to look, she saw Stephen staring at her.

“Mr. Stephen, are you trying to threaten me to death?” She put her hands on her chest and glared.

“Take it.” Stephen gave her a bag of medicine and fruit.

“This is…”

“If you have a cold like this, you should take antibiotics and eat more citrus fruits. I wrote the morning dose and evening dose, don’t be mistaken.”

After speaking, Stephen stood up and left. The tall figure in the designer suit gradually disappeared.

Nancy quickly stood up, ran out, and called out.

“Deputy general director, thank you.”

“Go take your lunch break, goodbye.” Stephen did not turn his head, just waved his hand.

He intended to tell her that he had to go abroad on business for a week but saw that she was avoiding him, so he didn’t tell her.

He told himself that he had to be a little more gentle, otherwise, he was afraid that every time he appeared, that teddy bear would run away.

Paul had been witnessing everything so he was extremely confused. It seemed that Stephen also had feelings for this editor.

Just now, when he overheard the staff talking to each other about Stephen suddenly coming to eat with the staff, he was not surprised.

But when he heard them say that Stephen had eaten with Nancy, he immediately came here to investigate.

Paul felt that his boss’s fate was miserable. Many years had passed before his boss noticed a girl, but now two of his associates were staring at that girl. Paul didn’t know whether he should tell Dylan or not.

After thinking about it, in the end, he decided to keep quiet, pretending he didn’t hear, didn’t see, and didn’t know.

While he was in a tangle of speculation, the phone vibrated slightly, he quickly picked it up, and on the other end of the line was Kent’s voice.

“Mr. Paul, I heard that you are familiar with director Ella, right?”

“I know her. But what’s wrong?”

“The hotel I borrowed the other day as a filming location suddenly got repaired. The situation is that I haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement. Can you help me borrow her Chessboard hotel? In this area, only this hotel is the most suitable for the scenario’s requirements.”

“Hey, Director Kent, why don’t you go to Global Group’s hotel to film?”

“Assistant Kent, the character in this movie is a commoner, very poor, and staying in those five-star hotels is not appropriate at all. Please help for art.”

Paul shook his head in boredom. This guy always wants to make things difficult for himself and then make others miserable.

Seeing that it was already afternoon work hours, he called Ella.

“Hello Miss Ella, I am Paul.”

“Yes, I have your phone number, is something wrong?” A small female voice spoke up.

“Ah, our film crew has a problem with the filming location. Can you arrange for them to borrow the Chessboard Hotel for a week?”

“Of course, I agree, please tell them to call me directly.”

“Thank you.”

“Nothing. Oh, and about the Sunny House project, do you have any information?”

“The president hasn’t said anything yet, I’ll remind him.”

“Yes, thank you.”

Ella put the phone back in her bag, her eyes looking towards the distant beach. The eternal silver waves run one after another to the shore.

Since her father’s death, she has had to carry the Galaxy company by herself. Sometimes she feels so tired. It all seemed too overwhelming for a little girl like her.

She waited for a phone call from Global Group every second and every minute. If Dylan refuses, she will have no choice but to comply with the wishes of those who want to transfer the project.

As dusk gradually fell, Nancy glanced at the right corner of the computer screen and saw that it was almost five o’clock in the afternoon.

The other employees all left one by one, but she tried to stay. The ideas were pouring out so she had to quickly write them down, otherwise she was afraid she would forget them in a moment.

She was so engrossed in typing that she lost track of time. When she looked up, it was already dark.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

It seemed that she had to take two buses because the direct bus to her home was gone.
