Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 10

After speaking, Stephen ran to the bag of food, quickly grabbed the fish, and took it to slaughter.

Nancy was so surprised that she became dumb and didn’t react. She looked at Stephen’s agile hands and secretly admired him.

“Do you know how to cook?” She asked.

“Of course, when I studied abroad, I also cooked my meals.” Stephen proudly boasted.

“My boss cooked for me like this, I wonder how many good things I have done?”

“If you don’t criticize me, I will cook for you all my life.” Stephen winked mischievously.

Nancy smiled slightly, simply because she thought it was just a joke. Carrying the bunch of vegetables to the table, she picked them up while reminiscing.

Before, when she was at Nathan’s house, every time she cooked, he would come down to help her like this, he would do all the fish and meat, and she just had to pick up the vegetables.

Soon Stephen finished cooking. Nancy looked at him, he looked professional like a chef.

In her imagination, a rich young man like Stephen would never have to do these things.

“Is it delicious?” Stephen looked at her with expectant eyes.

“Very delicious. If you’re unemployed, you can open a restaurant.”

“I think so, too.”

“I’m just kidding, you’re a deputy general manager, how can you open a restaurant?”

Nancy only bought enough food for herself for two meals, but now another man suddenly appeared so all the food was gone.

Stephen ate very enthusiastically, he felt extremely delicious. If he could come here every day to eat, he would soon become obese.

After eating, both of them went to the living room to drink tea and chat. That happy and cheerful scene caught the eyes of the man standing outside looking in because the curtains were still open.

Dylan clenched his hands, pursed his lips, and looked at them for a long time, then quietly turned the car around and drove quickly home. When he arrived, he went straight upstairs and into his room.

Hearing the sound of the door slamming shut, Camila shook her head sadly.

This afternoon, her son was a little happy when he left the house, but now his face is frowning again.

Because Camila saw that Rosalind had no hope of winning Dylan’s affection, for many years she actively set up matches for countless girls for him, but he was completely indifferent.

If she talked too much, he would go see them, and the next day she would be blamed by that girl. And now, she knew that he was drinking in his room.

In the sunless room, the glass of wine in Dylan’s hand was empty. The table lamp wasn’t too bright, but it was enough for him to see the bride’s face.

The wedding photo of her and him has always hung above the bed for many years. She said she didn’t love him, but he saw in that smile a sky of happiness.

In the past, she and he were as close as a pair of birds. He entered his first love with all sincerity, not thinking that one day the wind would leave the clouds.

The image of her smiling and happily drinking tea with Stephen appeared again in front of him. He felt that she lived a very good life. After a few days, she could make new friends.

Dylan’s heart ached. He wondered why he was the only one suffering. Her heartless words from the past echoed in his ears: “I don’t love you at all. If I don’t need a place to stay and need money to pay tuition, do you think I will agree to stay with you? Now that I’ve graduated, I can take care of myself, so why should I force myself?”

The sound of the glass falling was like the sound of Dylan’s heart breaking. He stood up, reached out, and gently touched the bride’s face in the photo, smiling bitterly.

“My wife, I will make you agree to be with me again.”Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Lying down on the bed, Dylan struggled for a long time and then gradually fell asleep. He slept until afternoon and night, not waking up to eat or drink anything.

It wasn’t until the alarm clock rang that he got out of bed and prepared to go to the company.

On the first morning of the new week, snow fell. In front of the company gate, everyone hurriedly entered.

When Stephen saw the girl wearing a cotton jacket, he immediately remembered the bear his mother gave him on his fifth birthday.

“Nancy.” He called as he ran to Nancy’s side.

“Deputy general director, hello, your nose…”

“The swelling has subsided, thanks to you, I’ve received a lot of attention this morning.”

Hearing his tone, Nancy could only laugh. Fortunately, Mina had just arrived and encountered Stephen so she stopped to ask, so Nancy quickly ran away, giving them space.

While chatting with Stephen, Mina received a call from a customer, so she quickly said goodbye to him and went straight to Lyle’s office.

Seeing that Nancy was also here, Mina smiled, nodded slightly and put the documents on the desk.

“Mr. Lyle, the partner has just sent a notice, saying that their boss is still not satisfied with the design ideas for this jewelry set.”

“Okay. Let me look again.” He nodded slightly.

Mina bowed again and then ran away. Lyle manages so many things, so as his assistant, she also has a lot of hard work.

In one day, if someone watches the camera, they will see this beautiful girl running up and down, running back and forth between floors and departments continuously.

Perhaps thanks to that, Mina has had a slim figure for many years while other employees had to go on weight loss regimens.

“Design inspired by winter?” Nancy asked softly.

“Right.” Lyle said as he pushed the manuscript towards her.

“Do you think white snowflakes with hot-colored gemstones are a good idea?”

“What is its name?”

“Flowers bloom in the middle of winter, and snow falls in the middle of summer.”
