I Died 4
At the late–night Crimson Crescent Pack, the Consul was still grinding away on my case. Amidst the meeting, Beta Dimitri called for a quick break. That was why Logan went to grab a sandwich.
One of the elders teased him, “How’s life being a mated Alpha but not losing the amount of she–wolves interested in you? Leave some women to us, Alpha!” The older man heartily laughed and added, “Speaking of, how is Luna Aurora? Didn’t she come to deliver your midnight snack tonight?”
When Logan heard my name, his face darkened and his sandwich hit the table. “Why bring her up? It’s gross.”
Dimitri, who was just near, sensed the tension, but he was also curious about the same thing. “I’m also wondering, Alpha… It’s been a while since we saw the Luna around. She used to show up with snacks whenever you pulled an all–nighter.”
Logan only shot him a look. “All those snacks end up in your belly, don’t they? Still hungry?”
His statement made Dimitri’s expression turn serious. “Seriously though, is the Luna okay? Is she… missing?”
Upon hearing that, Logan snorted. “Missing? She must be out there trying to cool down her head. That woman’s like a pesky little dog, always triggering my anger. Well, she’s been quiet for a few days now, so can we stop talking about her?”
Standing on the sidelines, I smirked. Oh, my Alpha, you wouldn’t have to put up me nagging you anymore, huh? It must be a relief! I bet this man would celebrate the moment he knew the truth about my passing.

“Alpha! Alpha Logan, we finally figured out the identity of the victim!” A pack nealer barged in, his face was twisted in an ugly mix of emotions. It was as if the news he was carrying would shake the world.
Dimitri was the first one to move and went nearer to the pack healer. However, the pack healer said, “I think Alpha Logan needs to know first…”
Logan looked up, puzzled. “Why me? Just let my Beta know first, he’s the one always overseeing everything about this case. Just tell him.”
It was as if the pack healer had no choice but to do what he was told, so he went closer to the Beta’s ear and told him the truth.
Right then and there, Dimitri’s expression turned to shock, until he became extremely serious. “W–What… Are you sure?”
To his dismay, the healer only nodded his head for confirmation.
Beta Dimitri eyed the Alpha of the pack with bloodshot eyes as he asked, “Alpha, have you been in touch with Luna lately?”
Although confused, Logan answered, “Yes, she even talked to me using our mindlink a

- me.
“A few days? Has it been more than three days ago?”
The time Dimitri asked that question, was when it all dawned to Logan. My mate’s eyes widened as realizatioft dawned. He shot up from his seat, his hands trembling. “What do you mean?”
