Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1268

"Hey, Carson, why are you calling Flora 'Madam'...?" Jacob stammered, barely getting the words out.

"Because she is the Madam, the one and only." Rory smirked. Flora was the only woman their Enforcement Division would bow down to. There used to be Tara, but now, Tara wasn't even in the picture anymore! "Madam..." Kenneth's face turned ghostly pale. The woman he'd tried so hard to impress, but had dismissed as unworthy, was actually Flora! And he'd even gone after her in the past! Hawthorn was equally stunned. Flora, the boss's woman?!

"Carson, there's gotta be some mistake," Hawthorn stuttered, his teeth chattering. "How could Flora be the Madam? She's just some ordinary woman from the Mortal World, she..." Before he could finish, Rory's eyes darkened. This guy had no idea how deep in trouble he really was. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Hawthorn was clueless about the danger looming over him. All he knew was that Flora was tight with Jacob and Carly, and he'd just targeted her. If she really was the Madam, he was toast.

Panic crept into every fiber of his being, making him tremble. "How could the boss like a woman like her? If he were to fall for someone, it should be someone of noble status, like Miss Brooke... not her... no... no-ah!"

He didn't get to finish. A scream tore through the air. Before anyone could see what happened, Hawthorn was sent flying like a kite with its string cut, landing hard with a thud, creating a deep crater in the ground. Hawthorn lay there, bloodied and broken, like some twisted zombie, coughing up blood. Everyone gasped in shock!

"Boss!" Rory suddenly dropped to one knee, bowing to a certain direction. Everyone turned to look.

A man in a black jacket, broad-shouldered and long-legged, walked over. His handsome face seemed chiseled by the gods, covered in a layer of icy calm. His eyes, dark as obsidian, were cold and endless like a black hole. He moved with an air of absolute authority! The guy's presence was so intense, Jacob and Carly's knees nearly buckled. Damn, he was intimidating!

The man walked straight toward Flora.

"Flora..." Jacob was about to lose it, but he still instinctively stood in front of her. This guy looked seriously dangerous!

The man stopped a meter away from Flora, eyeing Jacob, who was in his way, with a slight frown.

"Connor, you're scaring them," Flora said,

And just like that, everyone watched in disbelief as the man, who had been as fierce as a storm moments ago, softened his expression, the oppressive tension evaporating.

He held Flora gently, his expression unbelievably tender. "I'm sorry." He had heard someone bad-mouthing Flora, and couldn't hold back.

"Boss!" Kenneth's legs gave out, and he dropped to his knees too, fear overtaking him.

Connor's gaze swept over him, then to Teddy on the ground, his starezas cold as ice. "Teddy, throw him in the dungeon, and once he's there, no need for him to come out again."

en

That was a death sentence.

Teddy couldn't even plead for mercy; the man's presence was so overpowering it left him drenched in sweat, gasping for air. Connor's gaze then settled on Kenneth, who was shaking all over, his face drained of color. He knew his fate was sealed.

"Kenneth, strip him of his powers and kick him out of the Enforcement Division."
