Chapter 20
Chapter 20
The two stood in the long and thin corridor of the
restaurant, more or less affecting the movement of other guests.
After looking at each other for a few seconds, Jolene smiled sweetly, “I’ll go first. Colin was waiting for me.”
She stepped forward and heard Bowen’s cold voice behind. her say, “Colin was not the money lord.” Jolene didn’t stop walking, and her smile deepened.
She knew that Colin had not been the money lord.
Bowen felt that she had regarded him as a money lord.
Indeed, she had gained a lot in the past few years.
Bowen was a generous boss who was never stingy in everything from houses and cars to clothes, bags, and jewelry.
She had also really been like a money–greedy woman. She would take it all as long as Bowen gave it to her.
Otherwise, if Jolene and Bowen were together, were they talking about relationships if they didn’t talk about money?
When Jolene returned to the table, the dishes had already been served.
Royal restaurant dishes were expensive, and a plate of

assorted shrimp had cost more than two hundred dollars.
Jolene picked up the ginkgo nuts in the shrimp shells and ate them. They had been slightly bitter but very glutinous, and the teeth had been soft and rotted between the teeth when they had been knocked.
Colin picked up some food for her, and when he looked up and saw Bowen, he had been taken aback for a moment and whispered to Jolene, “I saw your boss.”
Without raising his eyes, Jolene had said lightly, “Did you recognize him?”
My parents had worked in their house.” When Colin had spoken, his tone had been normal, neither humble nor overbearing.
Jolene had looked up at him and couldn’t see the feeling of any inferiority.
She had felt that Colin had been quite frank.
She had thrown another ginkgo fruit into her mouth, “Oh, I had heard from Mrs. Evert before.” Jolene had put down her chopsticks and sighed secretly.
When she had met Karry today, she would have had to toast him with a few glasses of wine.
Although Mrs. Evert had had the final say on this matter, she would still be in the hands of these people in the future.
If he hadn’t worked long in Earth Group, maybe he would have been under Karry’s subordinates one day.

Jolene had to survive, right?
Holding an empty wine glass, Jolene had told Colin, “I’ll go over to toast the boss, and I’ll be right back.” Before she had come over gracefully, Karry had already opened the red wine and had been waking it up in the decanter.
As soon as Jolene had approached, he had pulled away the chair, “I saw Miss Marsh just now, but seeing that you were on a date, it had been inconvenient to disturb you.”
“Boss Hon is here. Why didn’t I come over and have a few drinks with Boss Hon.” Jolene had smiled and put the wine glass on the table, “I only brought the glass but no wine. Wasn’t I very sensible?”
“Drinking with Karry, how could I let a beautiful woman bring wine?” Karry Hon had told Jolene as he had poured half a glass for himself, completely forgetting about Bowen beside him.
When he had seen beautiful women, he had usually gotten carried away.
Karry Hon hadn’t known about the secret relationship between Bowen and Jolene.
Half a year ago, he had just returned from abroad and had taken over Toyar Company.
Jolene had been a bit of a drinker; she hadn’t eaten a bite of food and had already had two glasses of wine.
Her complexion hadn’t changed, but some blurred light in her eyes had made Karry’s heart itch.

He had still been a little tipsy after drinking two or three glasses of wine.
Jolene had originally wanted to respect Bowen together; it had been a breakup drink, so it would have been good to get together and break up.
But Bowen Evert had sat on the side playing with his mobile phone all the time, without looking sideways and–not taking a second look at them.
Jolene Marsh had thought for a while, had drunk the third glass of wine, got up, and politely apologized to Karry Hon, and thanked him for being generous, not caring about her unintentional mistakes.
Karry Hon had been very gentlemanly. He had laughed and waved his hands, “Everyone could see Miss Marsh’s
consistent ability, but tigers also dozed off sometimes. Who was always a sage?” NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
Jolene had repeatedly said that Karry had been her savior and had filled him with joy.
She had reached out and shaken his hand, thinking that the problem had been passed over.
But when she had retracted her hand, Karry Hon had stuffed something hard into her palm.
