Despicable Roommate

Exit

Alec

I sat in front of my laptop to do an assignment that was needed the next day. Instead of doing the work, I just stared at the screen listlessly. Thoughts were running through my mind, all about that one girl I liked. It didn’t seem like I would be able to control the feelings anymore. I wanted her, and only her. I wanted her to be happy with me. I wanted her to trust me though I didn’t deserve it.

The sex deprivation was too much for me. I had never stayed without sex for more than a week since I started. I was a very horny pervert and girls liked that. But now I didn’t feel like being with any other girl, except Lynn. Even for just sex. My whores all kept texting and sometimes calling me to inquire if there was something wrong with me. Of course, I never picked their calls nor answered their text messages.

Then there came the issue of Kari and Ron. I had always known that their relationship wouldn’t last even when Ron tried to act like a Prince. Maybe he loved her but sometimes girls become boring after sometime. I had not even asked Ron about it because I wasn’t interested. Besides, we were never the best of friends.

Well, whatever… I was not going to move out of the apartment I was staying in. I was not some play thing that someone could move here and there. I had already been forced to shift here and wasn’t moving back to stay with that moron. I had to remain with Lynn.

This Kari girl should have been mature enough to know that nothing lasts forever. It was not my fault that she had thought moving in with a guy she barely knew was a good idea. Ron was only happy to get a woman at his beck and call 24/7. It seemed he had grown tired of it eventually, and now wanted out.

Then my phone rang.

I stared at the unknown number for a few seconds before answering.

“Hey,”

“Hi Alec, it’s Kari.”

Talk about the devil, rather she-devil.

“What is it?” I inquired. I was not in a good mood.

“I called to ask if you agreed to move back with Ron?” She asked.

“I didn’t,” I said, sternly. “I’m not moving out. I already paid for it in advance and I will stay here until the lease expires.”

“Money is not a problem.”

“I didn’t say it was,” I retorted.

“So?”

“Do you have what to say to me or no because I have better stuff to do than talking to you.”

“I want you to move out,” She said “Go back to your useless cousin and I get back to my best friend.”

“Not happening,” I said and hang up before she could reply. Maybe Ron was right by dumping her. She didn’t really sound like a girl of substance. She talked carelessly. She called me again like three times but I didn’t pick up. In the end, I had no choice but to block her. Annoying and whiny was a combination I did not like and couldn’t stand.

I dialed Ron’s number.

“Hey bro,” He answered.

“Ron, can you tell your ex to stop nagging me?” I said. “Tell her to find where to stay because I’m not leaving my new place.”

“Sorry Al but I already deleted her number and I don’t wanna talk to her again. Deal with it.”

“Sh! t.”

“Okay, let me come over there with my new girl and we hunt her down to warn her. Get ready, man. I will put her in her place in no time and she won’t be able to bother you anymore.”

“Whatever,” I hang up. Ron’s plan sucked but I had to go with it because it sounded interesting. I would love to see her silenced by her ex and his new girlfriend. Wait, how the hell did Ron manage to get a girlfriend few days after dumping her? He must have been cheating before and maybe the other girl was better. Interesting.

Why girls chose to settle with the worst of the lot was beyond my understanding. Imagine messing up your life for a douchebag.

I turned back to my work but it looked so hard so I just called one of the nerds in my class to help me get done with it.

He would send the work via e-mail after an hour and of course I had to pay him. That was no problem. I got out of my room to get a drink because it was a fairly hot day. As soon as I got to the living room, I heard knocking on the door.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

“It’s open, come in.” I shouted heading to the kitchen.

When I got back I was surprised to see the devil herself, Kari.

“Where is Lynn?” She asked.

“In her room,” I answered sinking into the couch.

“LYNN!!!!!” She yelled.

“Shut up,” I warned. “I’ll kick you out myself if you keep yelling.”

“This is my room.”

Apart from being annoying, she was stupid as well.

“What’s happening?” Lynn appeared at her door.

“There you are,” Kari said. “Tell this moron to leave. I have nowhere to stay and I’m your best friend.”

“I’m not leaving here,” I laughed. “By the way, who told you to move out?”

“Shut up you…”

“You guys,” The door swung open. “You’re so loud-”

Ron stopped when he spotted his ex.

His lips parted.

I was surprised to see Carina walk in after him.

“Hey guys,” She smiled sweetly. What is she doing with Ron?

“Here she is,” Ron said. “Kari, can you please stop bugging my brother. Do you want to ruin his life, too? This is my new girlfriend, Carina.”

Carina was Ron’s girlfriend? Was she doing this to make me jealous? If that was the case, then she was totally mistaken. It wouldn’t work. Besides I was tired of girls like her who had no respect for their bodies and other people. My friends said she had a boyfriend, Lynn saw her with Ross, I slept with her and now my cousin? What a hoe!

“I’m not going to wait for drama to unfold here. All I can say is that this will be my apartment until I get done with studies here. Enjoy yourselves.”

I concluded and exited the room.
