Come back to Me, My Ex-Wife

Chapter 42 Shocking Scene

Chapter 42 Shocking Scene

Vivian was so terrified that she stepped back two steps and retreated to the corner.

Her pretty face was tinged with paleness and astonishment.

She had been following behind Margery all the way.

When they got to the nearest hospital to Layne's kindergarten, she watched Margery walk into a VIP room, where she helped out a little boy with a plaster tablet on his right leg.

The little boy was beautiful and...

It was Ethan, who looked exactly like Golden and instigated the whole class to beat Layne up.

To Vivian's horror, Ethan called Margery Mommy, and Margery happily responded.

It turned out that Ethan was Margery's son.

Vivian looked at the shocking scene as if she had seen a ghost in broad daylight.

'Cousin, not only has your face changed, but your temper, too. No wonder I didn't know you were just Margery at first.'

Vivian muttered grimly, feeling herself in the cold, chilly from head to foot. With disbelief, fear and guilt, she stared at the smiling woman in the hallway.

She was not dead?

How on earth did she survive the huge fire five years ago?

Not only had she survived, but she also gave birth to Ethan, and a daughter named Bonnie, who had just entered top kindergarten for less than two months.

So, Margery didn't die in the fire five years ago, and gave birth to twins?

If Margery was alive, why hadn't she contacted Golden in five years?

Why did she suddenly become a doctor in Bok Hospital for curing men's disease, and she deluded her into doing skin care treatment in Bok Hospital?

These projects, it now seemed, were clearly aimed at Golden and her.

Was Margery going back to H City this time to get back at Golden and Vivian?

After Margery died five years ago, Golden's heart seemed to be dead with her, and he was not interested in Vivian or any other woman.

Now, a woman who seemed to be Margery rekindled his passion. No wonder he wanted to break up with Vivian and only gave her half a month to think about it.

He might be doubting the true identity of this Margery.

Vivian, soaked in cold sweat, leaned weakly against the wall. Her fingers clutched the strap of her purse and she tried hard to calm herself down.

"Golden, you're so anxious to drive me away just to make room for Margery, aren't you? Fine! I'll make a place for her, and I wonder if she can enjoy it!"

Vivian raised her lips evilly, and a vicious light flashed in her eyes. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

'Margery, so what if you can come back from the dead and change to a prettier face? If I could almost kill you once, I will do the same until you die. You're never going to defeat me! Never!' thought Vivian.

Margery helped Ethan to do leg rehabilitation training back and forth in the corridor. From time to time, she felt a cold wind coming over, which made her feel uncomfortable.

Suddenly she looked back, there was no one in the corridor. No one was peeping at her at all.

Perhaps there were many things happening lately which rendered her too nervous.

Margery shook her head and smiled sarcastically.

She continued to train with Ethan for more than ten minutes. Seeing the little boy sweating heavily and gritting his teeth, she felt a little distressed. She walked in the ward and came out with a clean towel to wipe his face. "Don't you want to have a rest? I can hear your stomach rumble."

He was silent and didn't say anything, but heard what Margery said, he retorted, "I didn't, Mommy, you must have misheard it."

"All right, all right, it was Mommy's stomach that rumbled, and Mommy misheard it."

Facing the proud son, Margery pulled a wry face. She held him slowly to the ward.

"Mummy's been busy the whole morning and I am hungry. Would you like to have lunch with Mummy?"

Ethan raised his head and looked at Margery with a big smile on her face. He pressed his lips with resignation and said, "After lunch with Mommy, I will continue to exercise."

Margery was helpless.

Half an hour later, Margery accompanied her son to have a delicious lunch and headed to the kindergarten with two bags of stuffs.

Compared with Ethan, who was smart, disciplined and not picky about what he ate, Bonnie was lazy and a foodie.

Without Ethan serving tea, food and fruit for her every day, she had lost weight.

The food in the kindergarten canteen tasted good. But Bonnie began to dislike it and was picky about food every day.

For this reason, Margery would go to kindergarten three or four times a week to wait on her little princess.

At the gate of the kindergarten, Margery got out of the car with her stuff in her hand and almost ran into Vivian.

She stood by the door, talking softly with a strange female teacher. When Margery passed by, she pretended not to stand still and inadvertently fell toward Margery. "Ah... Dr. Byrne, I am sorry. I sprained my ankle just now."

Margery wanted to take two steps back to avoid Vivian, but because she was a doctor and she knew Vivian, Margery did not quarrel with her for the time being, and even supported her.

"Thank you."

Vivian's eyes became cold. When Margery was not paying attention, she quickly pulled off a few of her hair, curled them in her hand, and held them tightly. She did not leave immediately but chatted with the teacher.

Margery was reluctant to help Vivian, but she did not expect Vivian would pull her hair. All at once, Margery flared up.

In the past, she might have put up with it because of their relationship.

But when Margery knew Golden that hated Vivian for her setting Margery up, Margery had no longer taken the kinship to heart.

Not only that, Vivian and the entire Martin family indirectly killed Margery's parents.

Margery put the bags on the steps, turned her head and rushed to Vivian, blocking her way. She folded her hands and smiled, "Ms. Martin, I was kind to help you, but you tore my scalp and left without apology?"

Vivian pinched Margery's hair in her hand. She just wanted to go and do something urgent as soon as possible.

So, at this moment, even though Margery was aggressive, she didn't care about it. With the best patience and most elegant smile, she looked at Margery said word by word, "Dr. Byrne, I'm in a hurry. I'm really sorry for hurting you just now. May I go now?"

Margery was shocked that Vivian lowered her dignity to apologize to her. She felt strange but smiled, "Yes! Ms. Martin, please."

She hadn't thought of doing anything to Vivian right now, just to get back on her.

When the goal was achieved, there was no need to fight tit for tat and waste precious time.

Vivian had more important things to do now!
