Chapter 1143
"I can't shake off this uneasy feeling. I'm worried someone might have seen us," Aurora said, looking visibly flustered.
"Aurora, you need to stay calm. We can't lose our heads over this. She's in a coma now; no one will know what happened," Angie reassured her.
Rebecca's fall down the stairs was no accident.
Eight hours earlier...
In the dead of night, Rebecca suddenly woke up.
"I remember now! Rose is pregnant, and with Theo's child! I have to find him and tell him," she said, pulling back the covers and getting out of bed. She fumbled her way out in the dark.
The hallway was dimly lit, and she couldn't find her bearings for a moment. At the entrance, she hesitated, unsure of which direction to take. Then, she turned right and walked forward.
She took several turns, not knowing where she had ended up.
Eventually, she stopped outside a door, glancing around in confusion and murmuring to herself, "Which room is Theo's?"
She was disoriented.
Suddenly, she heard voices coming from the room nearby.
"I just can't sleep! How can Rosalie be so shameless? Even after divorcing Theodore, she has the audacity to share a room with him! She's utterly disgraceful. Who knows what indecent things they're doing now!" Aurora snarled.
"Exactly! That woman is so shameless! She has no self-respect!" Angie said venomously. "That old hag Rebecca is clearly trying to get them together. Isn't she supposed to have dementia?"
"Who knows," Aurora replied angrily. "She used to mistake me for Rosalie. I put up with it and stayed by that old hag's side. Now that she remembers who Rosalie is, she's sidelining me. It's completely unfair!"
"Don't be angry. She has dementia. Maybe she'll forget everything by tomorrow morning and mistake you for Rosalie again. Then you can just tell her to make Theodore marry you. Whatever Rebecca says, Theodore is sure to listen to," Angie suggested.
"But what if that old hag doesn't forget? What if she still remembers Rosalie tomorrow?" Aurora fumed. "I've sacrificed so much for Theodore. I stood by him in his worst moments. How can he be so cruel? And that shameless Rosalie-how dare she flit between different men like that? She's utterly despicable!"
"That promiscuous bitch will get
what's coming to her sooner or later.
Her child-oh, her child will meet a bitter end," Angie said maliciously, her words dripping with venom. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
Rebecca, having overheard everything, was seething with rage. She flung the door open and stormed in.
"What are you two talking about?"
The two women inside were startled and stared at Rebecca in shock.
"What are you doing here at this hour?"
"What were you just saying? You vile, malicious women-who gave you permission to come to my house?" Rebecca demanded.
"Grandma Aurora scrambled off
the bed in panic. "Let me explain You were hallucinating just now. Everything you heard was fake; you were just dreaming. Let me take you back to your room to rest."
"Get away from me!" Rebecca
shoved her aside. "Such pretenseret two. I need answers!" Cand

Rebecca turned and headed for the door.
Aurora was terrified out of her wits. If Rebecca told Theodore what they had just said, it would be all over.
"Don't go! Please, don't go!"
Aurora chased after her, reaching the staircase and grabbing her.
"Don't go! I beg you, Grandma," she pleaded in a hushed voice, worried that someone might hear them in the middle of the night.
"Let go of me!" Rebecca struggled to break free.
Afraid that Rebecca would make too much noise, Aurora covered Rebecca's mouth in a panic. "Be quiet! Don't shout!"
Angie rushed over to help, wrapping her arms around Rebecca from behind to restrain her.
In the scuffle, someone either Aurora or Angie-used too much force, shoving Rebecca down the stairs.
