Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 315

Chapter 315

Luca’s POV

“I’m so sorry though, if I hadn’t agreed to showing him around, none of this would have happened.” She

supplied after a few moments and I shook my head at her as I stroked her hair.

“It’s not your fault, bunny. You had no idea it was going to happen. I didn’t mean to make it seem like I

was blaming you, so stop feeling bad, okay?” I murmured to her and she slowly nodded her head, even

though I was sure she was definitely going to still keep feeling bad about it.

“I hope nothing happens to him.” She whispered after a few moments, and that was when I

remembered that I still haven’t informed her that Armani have already been found.

“He’s fine, bunny. We found him some hours ago.”

Tears sprang to her eyes instantly and she was in my arms once again, sobbing tears of relief, that

were still tugging at my chest.

I hated seeing her cry, no matter the kind of tears.

“Is he okay?” She finally asked when she pulled away. “Is he here now?”

I shook my head and breathed out a small sigh. “No, bunny. He isn’t. He’s getting some much needed

treatments.”

Her eyes widened and her cheeks paled. “Is he hurt badly?” Her voice was shaky, and I began to ask

myself how she was able to care so much for someone she had literally just got to know.

“Not too badly.” I responded, because there was no need for me to burden her with what had actually

happened to him. I have no idea of what had actually happened to him because he was yet to come

out of his unconscious state, that was going to be until tomorrow.

“Okay, I’m so relieved right now.” She whispered, her shoulders finally dropping from their tense

posture.

I slid my hands around her thighs beneath the shirt and lifted her up, she was already used to me doing

this so it didn’t startle her anymore. She was quick to wrap her legs and arms around me as she

blinked down at me, eyes and cheeks still wet.

I hated how vulnerable I had unknowingly made her.

She didn’t say a thing and instead lowered her head to rest it against my shoulder, leaving all the

decision making to me as I headed up the stairs to our bedroom. I headed straight for our bathroom

and gently placed her on the counter, she shivered when her bare thighs connected with the coldness

of the counter and didn’t let go of my suit lapels for a few more seconds.

I was tired, I needed sleep and food, I needed to get a lot of rest, but all those needs were long

forgotten, all I wanted to do was ti take care of Sofia and make sure she’s okay.

I wet a washcloth and cleaned all traces off tears off her cheeks, handling her softly and carefully

because she felt so fragile against me, the way she was always looking up at me like I held the whole

world in my palm, the way she’d hold onto my jacket as soon as I was in a close distance with her. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Once her face was cleaned and only her eyes remained puffy. I leaned down and pressed a kiss

against her forehead, as I felt my chest pulse with so much warmth as I wrapped my arms around her

chest slowly.

“You didn’t come back home yesterday.” Was the first thing she said since we left her painting room

and I racked my head at first, wondering what she meant.

“I was too busy with trying to look for Armani, there was no time for me to come home last night,” I

explained after a moment.

She was playing with a button of suit jacket as she glanced up at me. “Um, I thought you were mad and

disappointed in me, which was why you decided to not come back because you didn’t want to see me.”

She confessed, and that was when I was just seeing how much this whole thing had affected her

emotionally as much as it had affected me physically.

I cupped her face in my palms and just held her, while silently wondering what I did to deserve her,

because I sure as hell didn’t. These same hand shot guns tonight without hesitations, and these same

hands were cradling Sofia’s face oh so softly.

“Bunny, if I ever get disappointed in you, I’m going to let you know, okay?” I began to speak, because it

was finally dawning on me, how much she had been affected. “Never come to a conclusion yourself

that I’m disappointed in you, alright?” I continued and she blinked up at me and she nodded her head

jerkily.

“I wasn’t disappointed in you, okay? I’m proud of you, never forget that, hm?”

She whispered out a stuttered response and i tugged her against me to press my lips against her head

as I hugged her to me.

“You’re so precious bunny, how can I be disappointed in you?” I asked when I finally pulled away and

she blushed and averted her gaze, but she was now thankfully smiling, which I was really relieved

about.

I held her against me some more and went to deposit her in the bed, and then I took a fast shower and

went to join her. I tugged her against me and brushed her hair out of her face.

“I’m sorry I flinched when you were coming towards me and um…” She began to speak and I instantly

knew what she was referring to, and now that I was being honest with myself, I had been hurt by that–

by the fact that she thought I could ever hit her.

“Shh…” I whispered as I tugged her against me, beneath the covers. Now wasn’t the time to have this

conversation, that’s a conversation for another day.

“Let’s talk about that later, okay?” I murmured while hugging her to me and she nodded her head in

response as she snuggled against me. She was so soft everywhere and it was literally what I needed in

my life right now, after all the hardness I went through for the past couple of days.

“I’m glad you were not kidnapped, I don’t know what I’d have done if that had happened…” I murmured

against her head, and her response was to snuggle closer against e in my shirt, and nothing has ever

felt so perfect to me in a really long while.
