Chapter 220
Chapter 220
Sofia’s POV
“Oh my gosh, I understand you completely now and I’m really sorry. I could unfollow him if you want me
to.” She proposed and I rolled my a little, huffing a little for extra drama.
“You don’t have to, that’s unnecessary. I don’t have a problem with you following him, I also do not
have a problem with you finding him attractive there… but it’s pretty harmless since you’re just basically
just admiring him and nothing more.”
“Yup.” Kayla replied before muttering something along the line of ‘lord, this is so embarrassing’ which
made me let out a small chuckle.
“Then we’re cool, right?” I asked her and squeezed on her hand for emphasis, and I watched as she
started to nod her head in the next second, as she also tightened her hold on my palm.
“Yes, we most definitely are.” She gushed out in the enthusiastic kind of way she’s always able to
effortlessly pull off.
“There's really no need for this to still linger between us, right? It’s going right into the past and it’s
going to be like we never had this conversation.” I started to say as I released my hold on her hands in
the next second.
“Yes, of course. I loved how we were able to talk it out as soon as it had happened instead of keeping it
in our minds.” She stated and I nodded my head in agreement to what she was saying .
“I really do not know how to keep something inside of me without speaking about it when there’s a
chance for me to.” I confessed and watched as she smiled a little.
“I like that. It means our friendship is going to blossom into a really beautiful one.” She breathed out
and I nodded my head in agreement to what she was saying.
“I’d really want us to be close friends, like super close.” She continued.
“We’re getting there already, I can feel it. We’d be there in no time.” I reassured her and watched as
she flashed me a small smile which I returned instantly.
“We should really hang out on our own as soon as possible.” She proposed and I couldn’t agree more.
“I want us to. I’ll speak to my husband about it and hear what he’s going to say about it, and I already
have a feeling he’s going to agree.” I said to her, feeling my heart swell and my stomach flutter with the
fact that I was just casually referring to Luca as my husband, something I rarely do or almost never
do… until this intense and sudden urge to claim him and make it vocally known that he was indeed my
husband had surfaced after Kayla had made that statement.
“Cool, I’ll be looking forward to it.” Kayla started to say just as the men turned around and started to
make their way towards us.
“Me too.” I whispered in response to her as my eyes locked with Luca’s.
The three men were all in suits but I couldn’t even bother to give the other men more than a fleeting
glance seeing as my whole focus was on Luca who was walking directly towards me. I bit on the side of
my lower lip to stop myself from breaking into a grin as I kept my gaze locked with his.
They finally stopped a few feet before us and Luca continued until he was standing before me. I
grinned up at him now that his wild body was obstructing the other’s from seeing me face and body in
this particular moment.
“Are you ok?” He asked and I nodded my head instantly, wanting to hug him so badly. Just to breathe
in his scent and remind myself that he was mine alone and nobody else’s but I settled with just being
physically close to him at this very moment.
“A fight?” He asked as he nodded his head slightly to where Kayla had been previously standing, I
knew without a doubt that she was also standing beside her husband at this very moment the way I
was currently doing to mine.
I shook my head in response, not even feeling any ounce of surprise at the fact that Luca had noticed
that a small argument had taken place between Kayla and I, which placed emphasis on the fact that
Luca had been sneaking glances at me throughout the time he spent exchanging words eith his guys,
probably to check up on me.
“It’s nothing.” I said to him and watched as he nodded his head in response. He reached behind my ear
to tuck a strand of my hair behind it, before moving to the side and starting to introduce me to his
friend, since I wasn’t being covered by Luca’s body anymore.
“Sofia, that’s James, the one I told you about.” Luca said while pointing at the person named James,
and I honestly didn’t expect him to be that good looking. I mean, at this point, it was obvious that God
carefully planned out this friend group of three because they were all good looking with enough height
to go round a lot of short girls, and fit broadness.
I lifted my hand and waved it at James a little as I started to speak. “Hello James, I’m Sofia.” I breathed
out after a fleeting second and I watched as he moved closer to me, with a smile playing across his
lips.
“Oh, I do know who you are just fine.” He said in response as he raked his eyes over me once, making
me blush a little, just as he held his hand out before continuing to speak. Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
“It’s nice to finally officially meet you, Sofia.” He breathed out just as I slipped my right hand into his
right one. His hand closed around my fingers and as expected, he lifted my finger and pressed a
feather light kiss into the back of my hand. I watched as he narrowed his eyes at Luca with his lips still
ghosting on my hand, and I instantly came to the conclusion that there was something like an inside
joke currently going on between them.
I pulled my hand out of his light grip almost immediately, making everyone surprised without a doubt, I
wouldn’t be the center of anyone’s jokes, even if it was a funny and very unharmful one. I faintly saw
the shocked look on Travis’ face, but James wasn’t surprised one bit, a different expression was on his
face at the moment.
It looked like he was… impressed?
“I’m so sorry about that, I got a little carried away.” He confessed after a few seconds and I nodded my
head at him as I clasped my two hands before my middle before starting to speak,
“Of course, it was expected.” I murmured without even thinking and my eyes widened a little as soon as
I realized what it was that I had said. Once agsin, I was surprised when Luca started to laugh behind
me, just as a snort escaped Travis’s lips. Kayla was surprisingly quiet throughout the whole thing, and
almost immediately, my eyes were back to rest on James’ face.
“Damn, I never saw that coming.” James mused with a small laugh and once again, I was surprised
that he wasn’t getting angry by what had just happened.
He turned his gaze towards Luca in the next moment and started to speak.
“Damn man, she is fiesty.” He stated and Luca only breathed out another chuckle before I felt his hand
come to settle on the lower part of my back.
“Isn’t that great?” Luca asked, referring to James from above my head.
“It’s ecstatic.” He confessed just as he turned his gaze back to me and gave me a small wink before
moving away from my front before I could blink.
Luca’s hand urged me forward slowly and Travis and his wife started to make their way towards us as
well.
“Sofia, it’s lovely to meet you as well.”Travis spoke as he stretched his hand to me. I slipped my hand
into his and watched as he lifted my hand up and pressed a light kiss into the back of my hand, and he
released his hold on my hand in the next second.
“You too as well,” I replied to him and offered him a small smile.
“Kayla, pleased to meet you once agsin.” Luca’s deep voice rumbled out as he lifted Kayla’s hand and
brushed a kiss over the back of her palm. I felt a small pang of something that was most definitely
jealous start to tug at my insides, and I pressed myself into Luca’s side even more, and it was like he
could actually read me like he always claim to be able to, because as soon as he felt my body pressing
into his side, he was tightening his hold on my waist and pulling me into his side even more.
That small move was enough to make my heart flutter, and make my heart start to overfill with so much
love in that particular moment.
