Chapter 132
Chapter 132
Luca’s POV
“Can you hear me, Sarah.” I said to her and watched as she gave a sharp nod or her head almost
immediately, which was more than enough proof that she had indeed heard what I was saying. I lifted
my hand away from my body and started to stretch it out, stretching the fingers out little by little, with
my eyes still locked on the face of Sarah.
“I want you to get a room cleaned up thoroughly, can you do that?” I continued and watched as she
started to nod her head immediately. “Of course I can.” Sarah started to speak immediately after she
had given a few nods of her head.
“It’s the room exactly beside my office here at home, you do know where those rows or rooms are
located, right?” I continued, dragging in a deep breath on tasting a little bit of the coffee on my tongue,
thanks to the heavy scent of the coffee which was literally clinging in the air.
“Yes, I know those rooms, I still remember cleaning out your office here at home yesterday.” She
continued to speak and I nodded my head a couple of times.
“You’re a darling, Sarah.” I gushed out in a quiet voice and watched as a smile lit up hey face as soon
as my words had sunk into her head, it wasn’t a usual thing for me to dish out compliments to her, or
other people working for me, ever since they had all gotten employed to work with me.
But then I had seen how genuinely happy Sarah was last night, after James had showered her with a
lot of attention, compliments and kisses, and the smile that had bloomed out on her face had literally
made her face glow in that particular moment.
It was at that moment that I said to myself that I wanted to be able to see those kinds of her wild grins
on her face, whereby her eyes would almost get swallowed by her eyes, due to how wild the smile on
her face would be at the moment.
And then I had silently agreed with myself that I was going to be showering her with some
compliments, as much as possible, even though I wasn’t making any promises.
“Thank you.” She had replied after about a minute and I nodded my head at her before continuing to
speak. “I want you to clean out the one which is exactly beside mine, that’s the one you’re going to be
cleaning out, for Sofia.”
“Alright sir, I will.” She replied with a nod of her head, agreeing immediately.
“I’m so sorry for springing this so unannounced on you, this suddenly, but I’d really love it if it could be
cleaned out even before she wakes up, hopefully before she does.” I said to her and watched as she
started to nod her head once again, like she did last time, before she finally started to speak. “It’s
alright sir, I’d get it done as fast as I could.” She replied in a really soft voice, and she genuinely didn’t
mind the fact that I was sending her on an errand, without informing her about it before hand or any
kind of thing relating to that. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
“Here’s your coffee, Mr Ricci.” I heard Matilda’s voice beside me and I turned my head around almost
immediately, dragging my eyes away from Sarah’s glowing face, towards the sweaty looking face or
Matilda, and I was really sure it was because of the coffee offer which she had obviously made.
“Thank you, Matilda.” I said to her as I stretched my hand forward and took the cup of coffee from her
grip and I watched as she nodded her head in reply. I placed the cup on the counter and gestured to
her to wait right there, when she had been about to turn around on her heels and make her way to
somewhere I had no idea of.
“I nodded my head towards Sarah with my eyes still locked on Matilda’s and I watched the way a
confused look had come over both party’s face at the same time
“You’re going to offer some help to Sarah, and the both of you can join hands together in order to clean
out the room which she had been told to, some moments ago.” I said to her and watched as realization
started to dawn on her face, because she had looked really confused for a sharp second.
“Um, alright, I can’t do that. Sure, I’ll do it right now.” Matilda stuttered out a reply while still staring at
me and I watched from the side of my eyes as she exchanged a glance with Sarah, they were probably
surprised as to why I was suddenly asking Matilda to help Sarah.
Well, ever since I had figured out about her sickness, which I still haven’t known if it was something
really serious or not, I didn’t want her to be doing anything too strenuous or what was going involve too
much of her strength, which was the reason as to why I had asked Matilda to help Sarah out.
I stared down at my cup of coffee for the first time ever since it had been handed over to me and I
watched as it slightly rippled, the creaminess of the coffee was literally making my mouth water. I lifted
the cup up and took a small sip, and the coffee slipped into my tongue, burning my tongue a little and
at the same time, soaking my tongue up with its creaminess, which was the exact way I loved it.
The one back at the office was alright as well, but it can never be compared to this. It was either it
came out too watery, or never enough cream like I liked it to be.., all in all, there must always be
something that would be wrong with it.
This one was just perfect.
I placed the cup of coffee back on the counter befute me and fished out my phone from the back of my
pocket, thumbing it open and tapping on the screen a little to get the screen awake. My eyes zeroed in
on the time and I moved my lips to the side of one part of my mouth and I noted the fact that I didn’t
have much time left on me anymore.
I reached down and picked the cup of coffee once again, pouring in a mouthful into my mouth and
swallowing it down in the blink of an eye, the hotness of the sweet creamy liquid had of course, burned
my tongue even more, but it was nothing I couldn’t handle, and so I drank down another mouthful after
a few moments had passed, savoring the taste of this particular mouthful and holding it in my mouth for
a few seconds, before allowing it to slide down my throat slowly.
I placed the cup of coffee back on the counter and started to send a text message to Ryan and Ethan
at the same time, signaling for them to come into the house since I have some things to inform them
before leaving for work. I placed my phone down on the counter beside my cup of coffee, and dragged
in a deep breath into my lungs, feeling my lungs expand a little for a fleeting second before the breath
whooshed out on a low sound.
I wrapped my hand around the cup of coffee, feeling the hotness of the coffee burn into my hand as I
lifted the cup up and held it up for a few seconds, as my eyes traveled around the kitchen at the next
moment.
Matilda wasn’t in the kitchen any more at this very moment, and the only person in here was Sarah, but
she was at the side of the kitchen where the stove was at… it felt like she was currently heating
something up, like a sauce or something.
I drew the cup of coffee towards my lips and drank in a deep mouthful, swallowing it down almost
immediately, and drinking down another mouthful of the coffee which wasn’t burning my tongue
anymore, as it slid over my tongue and down my throat.
After downing the last bit of the coffee, I walked towards the sink and started to rinse the cup and
spoon out, before placing it on the top of the sink. And then I proceeded to wash my hands with a drop
of liquid soap, before finally moping my hands dry with a white colored napkin which was hanging on a
rack at the top of the sink.
I turned away from the sink and started to speak after a few moments had passed with me quietly
watching Sarah slowly stir something in a pan.
“I’ll be leaving for work, right now.” I said to her and watched as she turned her head towards where my
voice had echoed from, and by the look on her face, it had felt like she hadn’t been expecting me to
have moved from my spot on the counter without her having any idea.
“Oh alright, bye Luca.”
