“Uh, what’s with the stairs?” At that very moment, a man carrying his walking stick was accidentally hit by Belvina’s body.
BRUK!
“AKH!” Exclaimed the man who was hit by Belvina suddenly.
The man was shocked because suddenly someone hit his body from above until he fell and his back hit hard on the cold floor of the library. As a result, Belvina and the man fell together with the position of the girl on top of the man with their lips touching each other.
After a few seconds, Belvina came to her senses, moved her lips away and immediately changed her position to a sitting position, while the man who was hit by her struggled to straighten up even though it was only a sitting position. He felt around while cursing the girl who had taken away his first kiss.
“Aw, ahhh, it hurts! Who are you? How dare you take my first kiss! Aish, where my back feels crushed!” complained the man while pointing in another direction and trying to lean his back against the library wall.
Belvina was surprised because it turned out that the man she had just hit was the blind man she had saved from death and the man who had attempted suicide earlier that morning. What? What kind of bad luck is this? Why did she have to meet this blind man three times while she was in Jakarta? Knowing that, Belvina felt like meeting a celebrity for the umpteenth time. Even though the man was not an artist, but a CEO who had stepped down from his position, and was now unemployed. Yes, he is Gifer Fernandez.
‘If you look closely, he’s handsome too, and his lips are supple. Aish, what the hell? So I’m thinking the wrong thing. Wake up, Vina!’ Belvina thought as she touched her lips that had been in contact with the thick lips of the now angry blind man.
“K-you! Ah… I’m sorry, it’s my fault, so please forgive me,” Belvina put her palms together in front of the blind man. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Not getting any response from the man, Belvina held the blind man’s fingers with both hands. The man who heard a familiar voice, suddenly widened his eyes, trying to remember who the owner of the voice was? It turned out to be the voice of the girl who had prevented him from committing suicide on the bridge. Gifer immediately unlinked his hand with Belvina.
“Yak! You’re the girl from this morning, right? The one who prevented me from jumping off the bridge?” Gifer accused the girl sitting in front of him who was looking for the novel she had picked up until she fell down earlier.
“No, where did you get the idea that I’m the girl you met in the morning?” Belvina deliberately tested Gifer who was now showing his annoyed facial expression.
“The way you talk shows everything. Admit it, don’t talk too much!”
“What a bitch to be a guy. Yes-yeah, I was the one who prevented you from doing that crazy thing this morning, why?”
“You followed me, didn’t you?” Gifer accused which made Belvina confused. Following you? Where would she try following that blind man? He might get fired from her job as a bank teller if she followed him all day.
“What? I, following you, really want to be followed, don’t I? Anyway, there’s no point in following a man who doesn’t know what his purpose in life is and has no zest for life. Cih, it’s not important,” Belvina quipped as she looked around for the novel she had been looking for until the top shelf but couldn’t find.
“How arrogant of you,” Gifer quipped back.
“Damn! My novel got lost because of you! I’m going to search until I find it!” Belvina was still busy by herself looking for the novel she had chosen earlier that was lost.
“How could you put the novel first!” Having just moved from her sitting position, Belvina’s hand was pulled by Gifer to return to her sitting position with the distance between her face and Gifer’s face getting closer, only 5 cm. Gifer could feel Belvina’s breath which was rushing due to panic, and vice versa.
“Can you move away a bit? I-i-it’s too close anyway, hehe,” Belvina tried to move her face away from Gifer, but in vain. Gifer’s energy was stronger than her. Obviously, because Gifer is a man and he used to do gym when he came home from his office, so his strength was stronger. Gifer tightened his grip on Belvina’s wrist even more.
“Akh, it hurts you idiot!”
“Therefore, obey me!”
“Already, don’t change the subject, you want to run away from your responsibility, huh!”
“What responsibility do you mean?”
“Responsibility, my back hurts because you hit it earlier.”
“Oh, that’s why, easy, let me massage it,”
“I don’t want to, I’ll end up with a bad back,”
“Ye, how? You said to take responsibility, but now you don’t want to. What do you really want, huh! Ah, or maybe you deliberately want to play a prank on me, huh?” Belvina accused which made Gifer wonder. What kind of prank, his back was really hurting from the incident earlier, but this girl even thought she was pranking him.
“Yes, yes at least help me stand up. It’s really insensitive to be a girl. I also have a need here, you’re not the only one who has a need in this library. What kind of prank is that? My back really hurts. What an insensitive girl!”
“Ye, you bitchy guy!”
“So do you want help?” continued Belvina.
“Yes, I do.”
“Let go of my hand first, Jupri!” Gifer released his grip on Belvina’s wrist. The girl stood up first and after that helped Gifer stand up, also picked up Gifer’s blind stick that had fallen earlier.
“Alright? Just helping to stand up? Well, I’m going to go and look for my target novel again, excuse me, Mr. Gifer Fernandez!” Belvina smiled slightly and left Gifer alone at the corner of the library.
“Yak! Aish, you weird girl, helping half-assedly!”
Hearing Gifer’s shouting voice, made Haris who had been reading turn his attention.
“Just like Gifer’s voice, isn’t she practicing braille reading?” Haris monologued while reading his favorite comic. He immediately walked to the source of the sound which turned out to be in the corner of the library.
“Gif, what’s wrong with you, why are you here? Aren’t you practicing reading?”
“I was going to, Haris. But that was before being punched by that annoying girl. Aissh, my back hurts so much from hitting the floor and that girl is not responsible at all, damn it!”
“That’s okay, Gif. It’s a trivial matter, why extend it. Let’s study tomorrow. Let’s go home,” said Haris who had turned Gifer’s body towards the exit of the library.
“How trivial? My back almost crumbled from being hit by him earlier, Haris, and you know what? He also took my first kiss! If you were in my position, you would have done the same thing I did. What a bummer that girl is!”
“Well, never mind. Let’s go to the doctor first, just in case there’s something wrong.”
“What?”
“Your brain.”
“I’m not joking, Haris!”
“Hahaha, never mind. Let’s go home.”

Anggi was reading a book in the special reading room of the Jakarta Central Library. But Belvina suddenly startled him from behind.
“Anggi!” Anggi turned her head, looking at the source of the voice, who else if not Belvina the best friend who came from the bookshelf room.
“Hmm, what’s wrong?”
“Let’s go home, I’ve got the novel I want,” Belvina was so happy because she had gotten the novel that had disappeared when she was with Gifer.
“Seriously already? Don’t want to be picky anymore? There’s still a lot of stock,” Anggi asked reassuringly. Usually if Belvina was already in the library it would take a long time to choose a book. Why is this time different? She thought.
“Tomorrow or sometime you can still do it, Anggi,” she answered lightly.
“Oh yeah, what did you do earlier? How did it take so long?”
“It’s okay, there was a little problem earlier, hehe. Let’s go home,”
“I see, let’s go.”
