Chapter 44
What was her intention? The ravioli that she made for him had shrimp fillings, and it was marinated with black pepper!
However, Frederick didn't know that the reason why there were no shrimps in Alicia's ravioli was not that she didn't like it or didn't want to eat it, but because it was too expensive! Of course, he wouldn't understand how big the burden of money was to Alicia. He had never given her any living expenses!
When he walked out of the house again, Frederick became even gloomier.
Because of the incident, Alicia's mood was also extremely bad on that day.
After work, Alicia couldn't help but scold Frederick again as she took out her lipstick, "Self-righteous! Madman! Idiot!"
She applied the lipstick on her lips and sighed heavily. She had to dance at night, thus, she didn't dare to eat much. She only ate two pieces of chocolate to replenish her energy. NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
She estimated that it was about time, and then she rushed to the nightclub East Bannpool.
There were two regular dancers that she had worked with before. Together, they finalized the music and discussed their dance moves before putting on makeup. Then, they rehearsed once before going on the stage.
Alicia didn't want to be recognized. This was not a reputable part-time job after all. Hence, she would wear a black lacy mask in addition to the makeup, pretty and attractive. Tonight, she wore a black body-hugging top and black shorts, revealing her tiny waist. Her navel was decorated with shiny jewels. The three of them danced, looking beautiful and charming.
Under the light, they were like fairies stirring up passionate waves.
"Dancing queen, dancing queen the crowd cheered.
Frederick walked in with Carson and saw the scene. They stopped unconsciously.
Carson praised, "Wow! It has only been a few days since I came here, yet this nightclub has already upgraded again!".
Frederick's cold eyes fell on the lead dancer and paused for two seconds. He felt inexplicably familiar with the dancer, but it only happened for a split second. Then, he looked away.
"Let's go!" Frederick said.
When they entered the private room, Wyatt and Willy were already in there. The four of them sat separately.
Wyatt looked at the door and asked, "Isn't Trevor coming?"
"He's busy! You can meet him on your own next time!" Frederick explained and raised his hand to call the waiter.
"Bring in the wine!"
At this time, Carson voiced, "Hey, let's get some girls to cheer us up! Why are we sitting here without any ladies?"
Of course, the other two people had no objection. They turned their eyes to Frederick. Seeing that he did not object, Carson was afraid that he would go back on his words.
Hence, he said quickly, "Call Cherry and Tiffany in!".
"Sir, please wait a moment!" the waiter said.
Then, the waiter nodded and left.
Alicia was about to leave after finishing the performance and receiving the payment. When she walked across the aisle, she saw Jeremy Pitcher coming in her direction from a distance. She panicked for a moment and turned around before running up the stairs.
Thinking to avoid troubles, she dashed all the way up. However, she was not sure whether he would head upstairs or which floor he would go to. When she reached the top of the stairs, she thought of hiding in the bathroom. She kept looking back while running. Suddenly, a door opened. A familiar figure unexpectedly came into her sight, and she stopped dead in her tracks.
