Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1275

Settling Yvette on her lap, Lauren handed her a piece of apple, "Are you hungry, Yvette?"

Yvette nodded, gripping Lauren's clothes with one hand while nuzzling further into her embrace.

"Then have a PB&J and some milk first. We'll have an early dinner later, okay?"

Not a fan of letting Yvette eat a lot of snacks, Lauren asked the servants to make a PB&J and gave her some milk, which Yvette immediately drank after taking it from her.

Her heart calmed seeing her daughter return to her sweet self.

But just as she wanted to speak, Yvette choked on the milk a little. "Cough, cough..."

Lauren patted her back to help soothe her discomfort, and just as she was about to get some water, a cup of boiling water was handed to her, which she knew immediately was too hot to drink with one touch.

"Too hot! Get a warmer one!"

With that, Willy hurriedly got another cup, which Lauren had a feel before giving to Yvette.

Seeing that Willy sat on the far side of the couch, fixing his gaze on them, looking somewhat piteous as she put the cup down, Lauren fixed Yvette's hair before suggesting to her.

"Didn't you say you wanted to see Daddy? Why don't you let Daddy give you a hug?"

Before Willy could even reach his arms out, Yvette burst out crying again. "You lied, Mommy! You lied to me..."

She then turned around and threw herself into Lauren's arms, clinging onto her tightly, crying uncontrollably. Her sudden outburst shocked Lauren.

"Heavens, Yvette never cried much growing up. What's up with her today?" she couldn't help wondering.

"There, there, Yvette, don't cry. What's wrong?" Lauren patted her back to ease her emotions while Willy's face fell right then.

Yvette wiped her tears away, inconsolable.

"You lied to me, Mommy. You said Daddy likes me, but he doesn't even know me! He said I'm a little witch. He even let the big bird eat Bree, and then he said he'd let the big bird eat me..."

"Mommy's a big fat liar! You lied to me! Daddy doesn't like me..."

"He's not my daddy! He's Fleur's daddy! He picks Fleur up from school and even buys her dolls! He isn't on a business trip, and he didn't make money for me. Mommy is a bad mommy. Mommy lied!"

"He doesn't like me!"

"You lied, Mommy! He's not my daddy..."noveldrama

"I don't want to have the same Daddy as Fleur. Wah..."

"Mommy lied."

Lauren and Willy exchanged glances, both clearly once again shocked by their daughter's words. Willy really wanted to kick himself for what he did. Lauren, on the other hand, was in disbelief.

They had already met?

He was the one who killed Yvette's pet snake? She had a vague memory of the story, only remembering something about Yvette taking the snake out and scaring people again, but the snake was then killed! She never did like Yvette having a pet snake anyway, so she didn't take it to heart. But who would've thought it'd be him...

"About that... I didn't know! I'm sorry, I..."

Willy's mind was blank then, a complete mess!

Lauren wiped her tears away, hurriedly hugging her tightly, coaxing her, "Aw, okay, don't cry, baby. Good girl. I would never lie to you."

However, she had trouble justifying, wrecking her brains before finally giving Yvette an explanation.

"Daddy doesn't know you because

you've grown up. You've become much prettier now! Daddy had been working tirelessly outside. He hasn't seen you in a very long time, that's why he got the wrong person, of course, Daddy likes you. You're so sweet and such a good girl. How can we not love our baby Yvette?"

Yvette nuzzled in her arms, clearly not easily deceived. Then she glanced at Willy before nuzzling further in, mumbling, "You're lying again! Daddy called me a little witch..."

Willy slapped his forehead. Oh, how he wished he had a brick to slam against his head with right then.

Lauren gave him a nasty glare before explaining to Yvette.

"Uncle Daddy calls you little elf a lot too, doesn't he? Uncle Daddy loves you very much, right? 'Little witch' sometimes is the same as 'little elf It's Daddy's pet name for you, like how Mommy will sometimes call you baby girl! Daddy's trying to say you're beautiful. It's not that he doesn't like you!"

Yvette blinked, evidently confused by her words. Helpless, Lauren kept it short. "You just need to remember Daddy loves you very much! Go on and give Daddy a hug, okay?"

"No! No! You're going to leave me again..."

Yvette wrapped her arms around Lauren's neck, throwing a tantrum all of a sudden. Though noticing the disappointment on his face, Lauren could only ease Yvette's emotions for now.

"Okay, okay, we'll stay here! We won't go! I'll hug you! I'll hug you! I won't leave you; I will never abandon my baby girl! Don't be afraid, okay?" Lauren no longer tried to persuade Yvette, not daring to take things another step further for now.

Too many things happened in a day.

It felt as though it had been a lifetime since they last met. Willy, on the other hand, barely spoke from the moment he came into the house. His heart pained from brutally torn apart, yet an indescribable warmth and happiness seeped out of the bloody mess as he looked at the two most important people in his life, which he couldn't be a part of no matter how.

In the evening, Lauren made the usual - potatoes and vegetables. Because it was only her and Yvette, she'd commonly make something blander. But with Willy joining them that day, she specially asked the kitchen to add a fish and a beef stew for dinner.

As Lauren moved about in the kitchen, Yvette would follow her like a tiny shadow. Nearly bumping into her as she checked on the potatoes, Lauren squatted down and rubbed Yvette's face with the back of her hand.

"Why don't you go and draw over there while I make your favorite zucchini and sausage, baby girl? Things can get messy in the kitchen; what if I bump into you?"

Yvette shook her head then shook harder again, not saying a word, only staring at her with a hand tugging on her apron. She stood sideways to give way but still pressed her head on Lauren's head.

Yvette had never been this clingy in her life, but knowing she had scarred her a little, Lauren no longer shooed her out of the kitchen.

"Then how about I get you a stool, and you sit here and watch me, keep me company? Is that okay?"

Seeing that she nodded, Lauren put a stool in a corner not too far from her. She then carried her up to her seat and gave her a bottle of her favorite yogurt drink.

"Our baby Yvette's the best! Wait for a while, okay? Mommy will be done very quickly! Don't run around, okay? You'll go hungry if you disturb Mommy when she's cooking!"

Nodding like the well-behaved girl she was, Yvette blinked a couple of times and focused on her yogurt drink, mumbling with a hint of a sob in her

voice.

"Mommy, I won't run or make any noise. I'll be good..."

With that, Lauren focused on making dinner. Yvette, on the other hand, kicked her little feet, which were slightly off the ground, latching her gaze onto her mother. Similarly, Willy kept his gaze on them, barely blinking.
