Chapter 2399
“Since Madam Penelope has spoken, I’ll follow her lead,” Alloy said with a smile. “What about Mr. Hadley and Sage Foyer?”Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“I’m in if you want to make a bet,”
Cyrus-replied coolly.
“It’s not every day we get an opportunity like this. Let me stir things up a bit.” Kaden nodded with a grin.
Once the three had agreed, Penelope waved for Abigail to come over.
Soon, Abigail approached them with a wide grin. “Esteemed guests, I hear you want to bet. The current odds are-bet on Dustin to win, and you’ll get 1.6 times your stake. Bet on Glenn, and it’s only 0.4.”
She continued, “And no worries-if you win, I’ll exchange your winnings for celestial stones.”
Abigail smiled brightly, and the other parties’ eyes gleamed with the unmistakable shine of greed.
Many had already placed their bets with her. Though she couldn’t control the match’s outcome, she knew how to adjust the odds to her advantage. Over time, that could turn into a huge fortune.
“I’m betting on Glenn to win.” Cyrus quickly tossed a translucent, greenish orb to Abigail.
The orb glowed with a soft, ethereal light, and its inside swirled like liquid in motion. It gave off a faint, soothing light.
“An Aqua Orb? Mr. Hadley doesn’t joke around when it comes to betting.” Penelope’s gaze sharpened with interest
The Aqua Orb was one of the five elements orbs. It allowed the user to control the flow of water, which was similar to having an additional water- related supreme divine power.
The orb also sharpened the mind, accelerated cultivation, and refined martial skills. It was a scarce treasure highly coveted by everyone who knew its value.
“What’s wrong? Are you afraid to accept it?” Cyrus raised an eyebrow.
“Of course not. Whatever the big shots are betting, I’ll accept whatever’s offered.” Abigail nodded repeatedly. After all, there were always gamblers backing her up, so there was no way she could lose.
“1.6 odds sounds pretty tempting, but I still trust Glenn. I’m putting my money on him to win.” Alloy chuckled as he pulled a bottle of pills from his robe
and handed them to Abigail.
“Adamantinol? Now that’s a real treasure!” Abigail’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
Adamantinol was a rare pill from the Celestial Alliance, known for boosting strength and endurance to incredible levels. It was a coveted sacred relic for body-refining martial artists.
But crafting Adamantinol wasn’t easy, and the ingredients were hard to come by. As a result, the pill was extremely scarce, and only selected disciples were ever fortunate enough to get their hands on one.
“Sage Foyer, who are you betting on?” Penelope glanced at him.
“Since Mr. Marshall and Mr. Hadley have both placed their bets on Glenn, I’ll choose a different target. I’ll take a
risk and bet on Dustin.” Kaden smiled and pulled out three different-colored talismans.
He handed them to Abigail and said, “I don’t have many treasures, but these should be enough.”
“Sage Foyer, you’re too humble. These talismans are priceless!” Abigail’s face lit up with joy.
These were Divine Talismans, charged with Kaden’s internal energy-far stronger than the average ones. Even ten of Caleb’s best wouldn’t come close to their power. That made them incredibly rare and valuable.
“I’m with you, Sage Foyer. I’ll bet on Dustin, too.” Penelope raised her hand, and a black cloak silently drifted into Abigail’s hands.
The cloak had a special aura that could hide its wearer and made them almost invisible in the darkness, as long as they didn’t bump into anyone.
“Thank you for your support. Let’s see who comes out on top,” Abigail said with a grin.
She had hit the jackpot. This was another chance to make a fortune.
